Chapter 97- The Moment They Messed Up

Tyler's POV

Where the hell did these people buy their audacity from?

Because I was pretty damn sure I just told them to get out of my face.

And since when did I need to clarify that it also applied to Naomi—my fake girlfriend?

The one holding the mic had the nerve to smile as she turned to Naomi, strutting toward her like she was about to receive a damn award.

"Ms. Naomi," she began, voice dripping with fake politeness, "should we call you Tyler's girlfriend? Or perhaps... his wife?"

Oh, so we're doing this today?

They were desperate.

Their blog had been dead, and now they were scrambling for whatever gossip they could dig up. And of course, the best way to revive it?

Me.

Because for some stupid reason, everyone in this damn school was obsessed with my love life.

Even the principal.

And these people? They lived for gossip. They couldn't survive without it.

They started closing in on Naomi.

"Ms. Naomi, you must know all about Tyler and Alexis. The breakup, the drama. After all, you two are dating now, and he must have told you everything."

Naomi stared at them, arms crossed, visibly pissed off.

I already knew that look.

She was about to make someone regret their career choices.

She tilted her head slightly, voice sharp as a knife.

"I guess you weren't deaf when Tyler told you to get out of his face?"

Silence.

A few students in the background let out low whistles.

"Now do the same," Naomi continued, eyes burning with irritation, "and get out of my face."

If these people had any sense, that would have been the end of it.

But they didn't.

They weren't leaving.

Because she was a girl, they thought they could push their luck.

They thought she wouldn't do anything.

Wrong.

"Aww," the mic-holder cooed, as if Naomi was a puppy instead of a fully grown woman ready to set them on fire.

"We love a feisty one! But that's not an answer to our question."

She leaned in, pressing further, mic still shoved in Naomi's face.

"The school deserves to know, Naomi. If you don't mind, please tell us—"

Naomi didn't even let her finish.

I watched in pure amusement as she reached up, grabbed the mic, and yanked it clean out of the girl's hand.

Then, she turned to the camera guy.

And slammed the mic right into his lens.

A loud thud echoed through the room.

Everyone watching let out a collective gasp.

The blog crew jumped back like startled rats.

I almost burst out laughing.

Naomi wasn't just putting them in their place—she was burying them.

And honestly?

It was about damn time.

I wasn't planning to step in.

Not yet, at least.

Naomi could handle herself, and honestly, I wanted her to. If these idiots tried to gang up on her, then, yeah—I'd tag in. But for now? I'd sit back and watch.

She had this under control.

It doesn't look like she had it under control with the way she almost destroyed the camera lens though but trust me? I live for it .

They still wasn't refusing to leave

It was as if they were enjoying the moment

One of them stepped closer, fake smile plastered on their face.

"Naomi, you already promised to tell us about the person who tried to snatch Tyler from you. We're just here to collect our debt."

The sheer entitlement in their voice was unbelievable.

Naomi didn't even blink. "Well, too bad. I changed my mind."

Silence.

"Now, can you all leave me alone and find someone else to harass?" she continued. "You should probably interview Alexis. She'd have plenty to say about it. But me? I have better things to do than answer your dumb questions."

She fired the words at them like bullets, but they weren't leaving.

Of course, they wouldn't.

If I had said that, they would've backed off. No hesitation.

But because Naomi was a girl, they kept pushing.

That was their strategy. Keep poking, keep provoking—until the girl snaps. Then boom, they have their viral moment.

I shifted in my seat, irritation crawling up my spine.

I just wanted them to leave her alone.

Better yet, leave the classroom entirely and go find some other poor soul to torment.

But then again...

I couldn't exactly blame them for being here.

Naomi had told them she'd spill everything after class.

So now they were here, ready to collect.

The problem?

Naomi wasn't delivering.

And that meant people were going to be pissed.

They wanted their tea, and now she was acting like she had nothing to serve.

I warned her about this. Told her not to say anything to these vultures. But she didn't listen. Thought it was nothing.

Now look where we are.

The mic was still in her face, their cameras still rolling, waiting for her to slip up.

That's who they were.

New n𝙤vel chapters are published on novelbuddy.cσ๓.

Word twisters.

I glanced toward the classroom door, silently hoping the teacher would walk in and put an end to this.

But of course, no such luck.

It was almost like the teacher was deliberately stalling to give these idiots their moment.

Naomi, meanwhile, had completely checked out.

She pulled out her phone and started scrolling, acting like they didn't even exist.

That pissed them off.

"Aww, why is our beloved Naomi ignoring us?" one of them sneered. "Or did your boyfriend tell you to keep quiet?"

I clenched my jaw.

Why the hell were they bringing me into this?

Naomi's head snapped up.

"Keep my boyfriend's name out of your fucking mouth." Her voice was sharp, low, dangerous.

The entire class went silent.

But they still didn't stop.

"Oooh," the blogger dragged out, fake sympathy dripping from their tone. "Are you scared of your boyfriend? Is that why you're fighting so hard for him?"

Another chimed in, laughing. "Wow, someone get her a trophy! World's Best Girlfriend right here."

Then came the final straw.

"Who knows? Maybe you forced yourself on Tyler. Because let's be real—it's not like he's the type to move on so fast."

I sat up straighter, hands clenching into fists.

What the fuck did they just say?

"So that probably means one thing," the blogger continued, voice taunting.

"You threw yourself at him like the little slut you are—just so he could fuck you and give you a chance."

The entire classroom went dead silent.

My heart pounded.

I knew—knew—that they had just crossed a line they couldn't come back from.

I exhaled slowly.

"They finally got what they were looking for," I muttered under my breath.

"They finally pushed Naomi too far."

Naomi leaned forward slightly, smiling.

But it wasn't a friendly smile.

It was the kind of smile that came right before someone set fire to everything.

"Considering the fact that your blog is dead and isn't rising anytime soon... I don't even blame you for trying so hard to bring it back to life."
