House of The Dragon-A God Amongst Men-Chapter 160: Maegelle and The Ladies Drakkengard

(Third Person POV)

"Lady Mya...." Maegelle walked inside Mya's chambers, "Lady Daranne....I am glad to see you two are doing well..."

Mya and Daranne were sitting on the table, drinking wine and reading some tomes next to the candlelight.

Mya gave her a smile, "Maegelle." She said, "It gladdens me to see that you are well. You poor thing, you must have been so worried about our Lord's scheme....that trickery must have had you stressed."

Maegelle stood a couple of feet away form them, "Y-Yes...." She said, "He....He told nobody of that plan....it was solely meant to torment my Family...."

Daranne set her book down and sighed, "Our Lord has such a fixation on House Targaryen." She said, "By right, he should be doing the same to my Father's House, after.....what my brother tried to do....but he chooses to ignore him completely."

"And he stopped bothering my Father's House as well...." Mya said, "It is quite interesting how he's solely interested in House Targaryen.....but it cannot be helped...they are the House of The Dragon. And our Lord is a Dragon. A Dragon God."

"A Dragon?" Maegelle asked

Mya nodded, "You know how this world has Wyverns?" She asked, "Those flameless creatures from Essos?"

"I...I read about them." Maegelle said, "They are dragonkin."

"To our Lord, your House's dragons are just that...Wyverns." Mya explained, "True Dragons, according to him, are much different....far more powerful. Grayle....he called him a Wyvern.....a Royal One....whatever it means."

"I should pay attention to his ramblings." Daranne sighed, "He says such important information. It is as if he has nobody to talk to about this. So much is in that head of his...."

"Well...." Mya said, "The Targaryens have dragon's blood.....as much as he hates that those creatures are called Dragons....he cannot deny that there is draconic power in them...and in the blood of the Targaryens..."

"Yes...I understand that much...." Maegelle said softly, "He only wishes to torment my Family for the sake of his enjoyment....but....My Ladies....I have something I wish to discuss...."

Mya looked at her, "What is it?"

Maegelle looked down, a bit flustered, "This is...." She said softly, "This is not easy for me to say....I...."

Daranne blinked, "Is something the matter?"

"No.." Maegelle said, "I....well, the thing is..."

"Hm...." Mya said, "I hope it is nothing too bad."

"I slept with Our Lord." Maegelle said softly, blushing, "W-With Drakken...I had.....sex with him....."

Daranne and Mya looked at each other, a bit taken aback by this.

After a few seconds of silent blinking, Mya then looked at Maegelle who was a bit afraid to see their reaction.

"No wonder he was in a great mood during our sex." Mya said with a chuckle

"That is an understatement." Daranne said with a smile, "He kissed me behind my ear, he knows I love it."

Maegelle's face went red, "I....uh...."

"Why do you act like that is a bad thing, Maegelle?" Mya said with a smile, "You were meant to be his Lady. I am glad that you have finally given yourself to him."

"Y-You do not have a problem with it?" Maegelle asked, "T-The two of you are....well, I mean....."

"I am flattered you think so highly of us." She said, "But what we are....it should not affect your relationship with him. You are meant to bear his child as well....that's if...you haven't already..."

"O-Oh..." Maegelle said, "No...I do no think...."

"He will respect your decision." Daranne said with a smile, "But we have nothing against this, Maegelle. If anything, we encourage it."

"I see..." Maegelle said softly

"The question is, was this a one-time thing?" Mya said, "Do you plan on sharing your bed from now on?"

"I don't know." Maegelle said as she looked down, "I...am not sure..."

"It shouldn't matter." Mya said, "Our Lord can be an enigma sometimes. As of right now, he has no plans to do anything else. He really is satisfied with how everything turned out during this whole crisis. He is something else."

"Yes..." Daranne said, "Did you see it, Maegelle? The destruction laid by Grayle?"

"No." Maegelle said, "I only saw the burning skies..."

"A terrible thing to witness...." Daranne said, "The sight above Harrenhal was unreal....Ammaria's storm clouds colliding with the burning skies...truly a divine event..."

"On another note...." Mya said, "Maegelle, have you seen the boys? They have missed you....possibly more than they miss their father."

Maegelle smiled warmly, "Yes." She said, "I have spent some time with them. They can be rather clingy, those boys."

"Good." Mya said with a smile, "That is good."

"They love you after all."

[King's Landing]

"I believe Daella is with child." Alysanne said somberly as she sat down in the couch, "It is Lord Arryn's child..."

Jaehaerys nodded, "Very well."

"Her husband is dead." Alysanne said, "What is to be done with her? She had not even step foot in the Eerie.."

"She stays with us." Jaehaerys said as he looked down, "The child will bear the name Arryn, as a sign of respect for Lord Rodrik...but Daella will remain with us."

"I understand." Alysanne said, "Saera is calmer than usual, it is unnerving."

"Leave her be." Jaehaerys said, "So long as she causes no trouble, it should be fine."

"Baelon and Alyssa have announced that they want one of their boys to marry one of Aemon's girls." Alyssane said, "Viserys and Daemon.....with Rhaenys and Rhaella...."

"Daemon is but a babe." Jaehaerys said

"But they wish to take Aemon's mind out of what happened." Alyssane said, her voice shaky, "And well....it is good....to focus on our House's future...."

"Very well." Jaehaerys said as he rubbed his temples, "And what of our other children? How are they doing?"

"Vaegon has returned from the Citadel." Alysanne said, "He has stated his disgust with what happened....Viserra....is doing what she does; sitting under the trees of the Gardens and watching the sky."

Jaehaerys sighed, "I see...." He said standing up, "I am sorry, Alysanne....for doing this to my Family.....Our Family...."

"Jaehaerys....." Alysanne said

"I thought we could be free of him." He said, "That we can finally be free of him. I was wrong."

Alysanne closed her eyes, "It...." She said, "We could not have know what would happen....."

"At the very least..." Jaehaerys said, "We have Balerion again..."

"But at what cost?"
