Ji Shuang and Zhao Tian continued flying above the sect's untouched areas, their robes fluttering against the cool morning breeze.

Below, disciples moved in coordinated efforts, clearing debris and rebuilding damaged structures.

The once-devastated sect was slowly beginning to recover.

They soon reached the ground and the disciples who saw them bowed their heads.

Ji Shuang gave a nod, acknowledging them as they made their way to the Alchemy Chamber.

With a sigh, Ji Shuang spoke "There are not many casualties on our side, which is quite good... and the wing masters are also alive."

"Within a few months, the whole sect can be rebuilt."

Zhao Tian gave a node and raised his gaze to look at the Alchemy Chamber.

Entering in, they swiftly took the elevator to reach the upper floor.

As they stepped out, Zhao Tian inhaled the familiar scent of the Alchemy chamber, and the memories of Yao Jing rushed back.

His eyes trembled, and his breathing shuddered as he couldn't tear her corpse's image from his mind.

"Tian..."

At this time, he felt Ji Shuang gently holding his hand, and he turned back to look at Ji Shuang "Sect Master..."

She forced a small smile, though the sorrow in her eyes betrayed her own pain. "I know it hurts… but you can't keep drowning in this, Tian."

Zhao Tian took a deep breath to control his emotions and nodded his head before making his way to the door.

Both of them stepped in and Zhao Tian's gaze lingered on the shelf arranged with scrolls and scribbled papers for alchemy formulas and herbs.

Qi Xue and Qi Nue, who were inspecting the scroll,s were surprised to see Zhao Tian and hurriedly came to him "Little Brother..."

"Sisters..."

Both of them hurriedly walked to him and hugged him tightly.

"Little Brother…" Qi Xue's voice trembled as she buried her face into his chest.

Zhao Tian closed his eyes and held both of them in his arm tightly.

"L-Little brother... we were scared when we heard you and Master were kidnapped..."

Raising his hands, he patted both of their heads "Don't worry.. I am here now right?"

Both of them nodded their heads in his chest and Qi Nue uttered "B-But Master..."

Hearing this, Zhao Tian's eyes quivered as tears blurred his vision "I... I couldn't save her..."

He rubbed his tears before they could fall and uttered "Forgive me..."

Qi Nue shook her head fiercely "There's nothing to forgive. You didn't do anything wrong, Little Brother."

Qi Xue sniffled and gripped his robes tightly "Master wouldn't blame you… she loved you like family..."

As they retracted the hug, a soft silence filled the room, and Zhao Tian's gaze drifted to the end.

That was Yao Jing's personal room.

"Wait a minute..." he muttered, taking slow steps toward it.

Qi Xue and Qi Nue exchanged a glance, their faces etched with sorrow, but they didn't stop him.

Zhao Tian pushed the door open, and the scent of medicinal herbs, mixed with a faint floral fragrance, washed over him.

It was her scent.

The room was exactly as she had left it... neat, organized, yet filled with a warmth that was uniquely hers.

His fingers trembled as he stepped inside, as his gaze scanned the shelves lined with alchemy books, scrolls with handwritten notes in her delicate script, and bottles of rare elixirs she had painstakingly refined.

His eyes lingered on a wooden desk against the wall, its surface covered in parchment, ink stains, and an open journal.

His gaze shifted to the corner of the room where her cauldron stood.

He approached it slowly, tracing a hand over its surface.

The room held so many remnants of her... so many things left unfinished, so many words left unsaid.

He could almost hear her voice chiding him, playfully complaining about how reckless he was.

His fingers curled over the edge of the cauldron as he exhaled shakily.

How many times had he watched her work at this very spot, her eyes alight with determination, the flickering flames beneath the cauldron casting shadows across her face?

How many times had she laughed in this very room, teasing him for his lack of alchemy talent?

With a heavy heart, he walked toward her wooden desk.

A pile of open scrolls lay spread across it, the ink slightly faded but still legible.

Some were detailed formulas for new pills she had been developing, while others contained personal annotations... notes she had left behind, meant for herself.

His eyes landed on one particular note, scrawled hastily in the margins of an alchemy manual.

"Tain'er has been so busy lately. I hope he remembers to eat. Maybe I'll make his favorite tea tomorrow… Also, I finally perfected the Mist Blossom Pill! I can't wait to show him."

Another note...

"Tian'er is hopeless at alchemy, but I'll make him learn if it kills me. He doesn't know it yet, but he has a gift. Just wait, I'll prove it to him!"

He could almost hear her laughing as she wrote those words, teasing him in that exasperated yet affectionate way of hers.

A soft sigh escaped his lips as he remembered her words...

'Tian'er... I want you to become the best alchemist in the world. I know you can make it, because you have the talent... Hahaha...'

He gave a faint nod "I will surely be... for you, Jing'er."

Taking a deep breath, Zhao Tian carefully rolled up the parchment and tucked it away inside his robes.

He wasn't going to let her efforts go to waste.

If she believed in his potential, then he would honor that belief.

He would take up the path she had paved for him, no matter how difficult it would be.

Zhao Tian closed his eyes for a long moment before exhaling softly.

He stepped out of the room and looked at Qi Xue, Qi Nue, and Ji Shuang waiting for him.

Looking at him, Ji Shuang smiled faintly...

Qi Xue and Qi Nue exchanged glances before Qi Xue hesitantly spoke. "Little Brother… are you okay?"

Zhao Tian nodded his head "Yeah... I am good."

"I just found something... I know what I am going to do from now on."
