I Am Really The Best Anti Hero In Another World!-System Of Anti Hero!-Chapter 49 - Repercussion
Chapter 49 - 49 - Repercussion
"Arf! Arf! Arf!..."
The woman struggled to distance herself from the house and reach a place where she wouldn't feel that immense weight. But even after crawling a few steps away, she couldn't free herself from that damned pressure—a pressure that made her entire body feel as if it were being crushed against the floor, or as though she were being trampled by a being who, in every respect, was infinitely larger and superior to her.
Despite all that pressure, she continued crawling slowly until she finally reached the end of the stairs. 'I wonder if he managed to get to the room...?' she thought, fearful of moving any further away.
She turned her head slightly to catch a glimpse of the house, and after a few seconds, she closed her eyes, then turned her head back to continue forward, thinking, 'It's not as if I could be of any use in this situation...'
However, before she could start crawling again, the woman heard a deafening, piercing squawk coming from inside the house, echoing in her ears. At the sound, her instinct was to immediately turn to look at the house. But before that could happen, she found herself paralyzed, overcome with fear.
Although she had struggled so hard to keep moving, suddenly she couldn't move at all. Not even a finger budged; she could barely breathe. Even though she was in the fourth stage of Foundation Establishment—which naturally made her body countless times more resilient than that of an ordinary person—it seemed as though her resistance was burning from within and becoming utterly obsolete.
'What is this...?!' she thought.
'What kind of being could possibly create such pressure?!'
Her thoughts, growing slower and slower, ceased completely in mere moments, and along with them, her vision darkened as her eyes began to close slowly.
Moments Before
Even from outside the office, the guards could clearly hear Arthur's shouts as he addressed the elders.
"What are you doing here, old men? My decision will not be changed!" he declared.
"...We've already said that we are the elders of this family, so you have no right to treat us this way," replied the old man.
"Look, seriously? Elders? Don't give me that nonsense! The only reason you're out of your holes is your lack of money. It's as if you truly have nothing now. It seems you've come here just to disturb my damn peace." freewёbnoνel.com
"Sending us on this incursion is ridiculous! We are the elders; we shouldn't be treated like this. You can't do that, Arthur!"
Arthur sighed:
— Elders... please, change your tone. You should have thought about that damned position when you were stealing from the family funds just to keep those wrinkles on your face breathing.
While the old woman displayed clear discontent in her expression over the treatment she had received, she began to say:
— How dare you—?!
However, before she could finish her sentence, the three people in the room simultaneously felt an immense pressure slam down on their bodies, forcing them to their knees after enduring that force for only a few moments.
'But what is this...?!' Arthur thought, trying to understand the cause of this phenomenon.
He looked at the two elders and was surprised by the expressions on their faces—a clear mix of fear and terror.
As for Arthur, he hardly had time to feel fear at all—his mind was already consumed with worries about whether his wife and daughter were safe at that very moment.

Just a Little Earlier
While walking toward her room and passing beneath trees with beautiful blue leaves, Sophia thought, 'When will he come back...? I don't want to be trapped at home, let alone alone...'
She continued to move slowly under the trees until, just like all the animals in the forest around the city—and even the people throughout the city—Sophia felt an enormous pressure and an intense pain in her body. But when she fell to the ground—although she was certain she was alone in that place—Sophia heard something hit the floor right behind her, making a loud noise.
