I Am Tired Of Being A Hero-Chapter 242: Identity of the killer
Chapter 242: Identity of the killer
Draco looked impressed, "Yes, he appealed like so many times. Saying that he did not do it but the case is clear. Not only did they find out that he was the one who stole the drugs, but they also found pictures of the girls in his house, and their DNA was scattered around his property. If he did not do it, then he should probably explain that."
Ravi felt a rare chill down his spine.
"Why is that expression on your face? You look pale." Draco said and then smiled, "Don’t tell me you are scared because I might just laugh."
Ravi was silent.
"Really? You are scared; you did not even flinch when Doctor Korra was talking about the torture."
"The Captain has a theory, we suspect that the killer is a mutant with the ability to control memories, specifically he can erase people’s memories."
"What did you say? You are saying...Oh! That would make sense. The death was in the middle of the sidewalks and yet no one saw anything. The Statue Killer, are you saying that the killer framed someone? That is just not possible, it can’t be." Draco shook his head several times, feeling bile rise to his throat.
He had seen the police academy at that time and he had been so mad that he had gone online with a few students and now, what was Ravi saying?
"The Statue killer targeted foreign students and this man targets prostitutes."
Draco shook his head, he refused to believe it. He refused to believe that he had poured such vitriol on an innocent man.
"It was a Nationwide case, the best investigators investigated the case. If he was innocent, they would have found out."
Ravi looked at him and could not understand why such a fierce, disbelieving expression was on his face.
Draco looked like he did not want to talk to him anymore, turning to focus completely on the computer in front of him. Ravi looked at how red Draco’s eyes were and he did not talk but went back to his seat.
Everyone was waiting on the Davenport General Hospital list but like everything owned by the government, by the time they crawled through their red tapes to give the list the killer might have already left the
Ten minutes later, Draco stood up, "Officer West, The Captain just sent a list of the Doctors that were in Oakdale General Hospital last five years, I am printing it right now. Call your witness and check if she can identify any of the doctors in the picture. The Davenport General Hospital has not yet sent the list.
Ravi stood up when he saw that he had received an email from the Davenport General Hospital, he synced both documents and began waiting for the program to finish running."
"I have received the list from the Davenport General Hospital." He picked up the phone next to him and dialed it. The Sergeant replied that they would be out within the next minute.
Rvai looked at the screen, had he been this excited plus nervous to find a villain in a very long time? Probably not. He didn’t even register Draco as he stood at his back or Sergeant with Cami and her father.
In the next minute, they watched the rotating circle of the program on the computer.
"Just how old is the program?"
"Well, we have been using it since I was a cadet so it is older than you for sure, that I can tell you." The Sergeant said to Draco.
[MATCH SUCCESSFUL]
"It is him. That is Brother John."
"Yes, I have seen him several times. He looks a little different."
Ravi felt a sharp noise in his ears; it was a kind of buzzing except there were no bees around. The computer printed out the information of the suspect right next to the matching pictures, including other details like a change of name and relocation.
Brown hair and Brown eyes. Even though both hair was styled differently and there was a pair of gold-rimmed glasses perched on his nose in the second picture, the kindness in those brown eyes was so noticeable.
"He looks a little familiar, where have I seen him before?" Draco asked, scratching his jaws.
"My name is Doctor Ethan Kim. I am a visiting surgeon from Alstria. I have heard so many good things about you from Officer Johnson."
Ravi hurriedly and reached for his cell phone and began to dial Lisa’s number. Over and over again.
"He is Lisa’s boyfriend." Ravi’s voice was level without any emotional fluctuations.
There was a sudden silence in the room, if fear was a scent, it would be all over the police bureau by now. This was someone who tortured and killed 21 women.
"Officer Johnson’s boyfriend?"
"Yes. He came here yesterday; I also found a hidden recorder in the earring he gave her. After we interviewed Cami, she left to take a breather, but looking back now, her face was extremely pale and she must have suspected something. Her number is not going through and the GPS tracker on her police badge is not reachable." Ravi reported calmly as he looked at the red arrow on the map that was hovering but not pointing at anything.
"West, you fucking psycho." Draco rushed at Ravi, he grabbed his collar, and punched him, "You knew and you did not do anything. It is Lisa, Lisa your partner and you are sitting here like nothing happened. You, sick psycho."
"Draco Brown." The Sergeant’s shout exploded like thunder.
Ravi could taste the blood in his mouth but he did not say a word, he just looked at the screen in front of him.
"Officer Brown, you cannot blame Officer West for this. Calm yourself and contact the Captain. We have the identity of the killer. Sergeant, contact the Heroes Association, we are dealing with a mutant and he might have a hostage. We can only hope that Officer Johnson would not speak to him. Officer West, can you try to locate her through her social media."
"I am doing that now," Ravi said. The taste of blood was still in his mouth and he could feel it crawling into his mind.
