I Reborn as a God Within a Statue, And You Ask Me to Enslave All Gods?-Chapter 71 --Kill Without Mercy
Chapter 71: Chapter71-Kill Without Mercy
Just as Lord Tom finished speaking, a cold voice suddenly echoed from afar, shaking the entire Lord’s Manor.
"Daring to lay a hand on my subordinates—how bold of you! Do you really think I, Dark Troll, can’t wield my blade?"
As the voice resounded, the ground trembled violently, as if struck by an earthquake. The once-bright sky abruptly darkened, and the warm air turned bone-chillingly cold, swept through by the crimson aura of a spellbeast.
Everyone inside the Lord’s Manor shivered instinctively.
Lord Tom, who was all too familiar with this oppressive presence, turned pale, his face freezing in shock. He couldn’t help but cry out,
"A Tier-5 spellbeast—Dark Troll!"
Yet beside Lord Tom, Thomas remained eerily calm.
Though he had only slain a pseudo-Tier-5 spellbeast with the help of villagers, he no longer felt the pressure that a Tier-5 spellbeast could bring.
After all, he was a missionary under Deus Initium.
He represented a god!
Would a mere spellbeast dare to act so arrogantly in front of him?
Boom!
The tremors in the ground grew stronger, causing the great hall of the Lord’s Manor to shake slightly. Lord Tom’s expression turned increasingly grim.
As the Lord of Black Iron, it was his duty to protect the city’s peace. Yet now, this Dark Troll dared not venture too deep into the city and instead had the audacity to question him.
This was a blatant humiliation!
His heart burned with rage, but the oppressive aura of the Tier-5 spellbeast kept him silent.
Compared to a Tier-5 Dark Troll, his strength was utterly insufficient!
But Tommy remained composed.
He knew how powerful Dark Troll was—but so what?
His only son had slain the offspring of Dark Troll, making their enmity one of absolute irreconcilability.
Since there was no room for retreat, he would face it head-on. No matter how powerful this Dark Troll was, it could never compare to Deus Initium!
Before the god of creation, a mere Tier-5 spellbeast would be annihilated with a flick of the finger!
Under everyone’s watchful eyes, the Dark Troll—towering like an iron fortress—smashed through the gates of the Lord’s Manor. The colossal figure blotted out the light, casting a massive shadow over the hall.
Its eyes, blazing with black flames, locked onto the people within.
When it caught sight of Thomas and Tommy, an intense killing intent flashed through its gaze.
"I don’t know what trickery your Annasi is hiding, but this is no place for your kind. You Tier-4 Awakeners must pay the price!"
"I’ll give you two choices: either clean yourselves up so I can enjoy fresh meat, or I’ll roast you alive!"
The Dark Troll had carefully assessed Annasi and concluded that a formidable force lurked within.
He had sent his foxes and other spellbeasts, some Tier-4 and even pseudo-Tier-5, but the moment they entered the village, they were instantly erased.
Such an absolute obliteration proved that the entity responsible was anything but ordinary.
At the very least, it was stronger than himself. Otherwise, his minions would have sensed danger and escaped rather than vanish completely.
Since he dared not launch an all-out assault on Annasi, he decided to take his revenge by killing these two instead!
After all, one had slain his offspring, and the other was a key figure of Annasi.
Moreover, their brazen entry into Black Iron despite knowing his vengeful nature meant they had no respect for him.
If he did not avenge his child, if he did not punish those who disrespected him, how could he maintain his prestige among the spellbeasts?
As the Dark Troll’s gaze grew colder, Thomas raised his head and met its stare.
A divine aura radiated from him, deep and overwhelming.
"I, Thomas, am a missionary under Deus Initium! I spread the faith and purge vile spellbeasts! How dare you act so arrogantly before me?"
Thomas took a step forward. Though his figure appeared frail, he stood like an unshakable fortress, completely unfazed by the Dark Troll’s overwhelming presence.
"Deus Initium?"
The Dark Troll let out a wild laugh. "Do you think invoking such nonsense will scare me? You’re grown men, yet you still cling to such childish fantasies!"
"If you really believe in gods, then today, your blood shall serve to glorify the Troll God’s name!"
As it spoke, a bone-chilling aura surged from its massive body.
"Now, surrender yourselves as my feast!"
"Becoming the food of a god is your fate! It is your honor!"
As the Dark Troll’s arrogant words echoed, the air grew even colder. The ground cracked as countless ice spikes burst forth, aiming to impale Thomas and Tommy.
The Dark Troll struck with incredible speed, and Lord Tom immediately felt the freezing breath of death.
He couldn’t help but cry out:
"Thomas, watch out!"
As the Lord of Black Iron, he hadn’t expected the Dark Troll to be so brazen—attacking so recklessly within his domain.
Yet, considering that the Dark Troll was a true Tier-5 spellbeast, his heart quivered with fear.
A Tier-4 spellbeast alone was enough to make him wary. A Tier-5 spellbeast was an insurmountable nightmare!
Even if everyone in the Lord’s Manor joined forces, they wouldn’t stand a chance!
With no sign of Annasi’s Deus Initium, today might spell their doom.
Thomas and Tommy were merely Tier-4 Awakeners. The gap between them and a Tier-5 spellbeast was simply impossible to bridge!
A single Tier rank made a world of difference!
Even a dozen Tier-4 Awakeners combined wouldn’t match a Tier-5 Awakener, let alone a Tier-5 spellbeast, which was far superior to humans of the same rank.
A myriad of thoughts raced through Tom’s mind, his face growing increasingly grim.
But at that moment, Thomas, facing the Dark Troll directly, radiated a golden light.
Then, an awe-inspiring voice echoed in everyone’s minds:
"Tier-5 Dark Troll, slaughterer of humans, cruel by nature—by the decree of Deus Initium, you shall be slain without mercy!"
It was like the decree of death itself.
An emotionless proclamation swept through the air.
Then, a radiant scroll shot out from Thomas’s chest.
With a surge of mana, it unfurled and exploded like a divine grenade, unleashing an expanding cloud of mist that spread with thunderous speed.
The icy spikes surging from the ground disintegrated upon contact, vanishing without a trace.
The Dark Troll’s devastating strike had been effortlessly nullified.
Dark Troll’s pupils shrank.
He had already prepared to seize and crush them, but to his shock, they remained unscathed.
He was a Tier-5 spellbeast—and that had been an all-out attack!
"What... what kind of sorcery is this?"
His gaze locked onto the mysterious mist, his face twisted in disbelief.
It appeared to lack any defensive power, yet his attack had been utterly devoured.
As he pondered this inexplicable phenomenon, he suddenly saw Thomas take out another scroll.
Gripping the divine artifact tightly, Thomas smirked through the mist at the stunned Dark Troll.
In the next instant, he poured his mana into the scroll.
Brilliant radiance erupted.
A monstrous fireball, like a falling sun, hurtled toward the Dark Troll!
The chilling aura surrounding Dark Troll was instantly incinerated upon contact.
Even the overwhelming pressure it had emitted vanished as the blazing fireball struck.
Dark Troll’s heart sank.
A chilling premonition of doom surged through him.
