Chapter 535 - 535 Invincible: The Terrifying Jeanne d'Arc (lol), Immortal on the Edge of Madness, A Surreal Moment with Cecil and A Dangerous Visitor.
*Jeanne's POV*
I still remember it... the eyes when they stared at me like I was crazy. I can still feel the words on my skin when they condemned me; those eyes... the ones that once praised me now only saw me as a witch, a heretic, a sinner.
I gave everything for France, I gave my life for them, but they abandoned me. I am not the original Jeanne d'Arc; I'm sure that naive, faith-filled fool wouldn't have hated them even after being executed, but I am different. I was born in a singularity, an alternate future where Jeanne d'Arc abandons her faith and returns wrapped in the flames of hell for revenge. However, I failed, and like the fate of any brave soul who only exists as a mistake, I was erased along with the singularity—or that's what was supposed to happen, but I woke up in another world!
At first, I thought I had been summoned to Chaldea, but I had a body, I wasn't a spirit!
I started laughing at the absurdity of the situation. While the soft-hearted Jeanne d'Arc died, I was the one with a chance at a new life?! Tell me, God, what kind of sick joke is this?!
Yeah... I know... you're not going to answer... not to me... you never will... What a disgusting joke!
Just when I wanted to wake up, I realized I couldn't move my body. I felt so weak and fell asleep. I had a dream where I encountered a world I knew nothing about; it even seemed like some kind of future, and I was a ghost.
They couldn't move me freely; instead, I was forced to follow a brat whose eyes I found unpleasant... That pure eyes... I even felt a sense of rejection toward that kid.
I don't remember how long I was his shadow, but those memories are kind of blurry. This would not be the case with a master from Chaldea, and I don't see the need to show me any of that... it wasn't necessary. I am an Avenger, but that doesn't mean I'd attack my master.
Something I noticed was that this kid didn't have many friends. He spent his time playing alone, but he didn't seem lonely. Is he antisocial?
I could only sit next to him and observe in silence... At some point, I got sleepy and fell asleep, and before I knew it, the kid had grown up and I found myself watching a bastard who enjoyed bothering others!
"Kuh... I prefer this type of immoral guy, but that pure child...he was so cute... it can't be... what a tragic fate!"
*End of POV*
...
The sunlight indicated the start of the day for many people, and this was the case for the diligent Maid 2B, who had adopted this role more than others. She proudly wore the maid uniform, something she had been doing for quite some time.
2B walked through the house with a serious look, while Jalter silently followed her. "Alright, let's start with the living room, as it's the common area and, therefore, the one that gets the dirtiest."
"Hey..."
Jalter is a beautiful girl with white hair and golden eyes, white skin, though paler than usual. She was a girl with good attributes without being exaggerated. She wore black clothing, mixing a dress with a neckline, as well as exposing her abdomen and sides, adorned with thin black chains. She wore a metal skirt and some pieces of armor. This imposing girl carried a burning flag as her Noble Phantasm.
This imposing girl is Jeanne d'Arc Alter, (Jalter), coming from a different timeline than the original. A path where Jeanne abandons her faith and becomes a spirit of vengeance.
"Hey!"
"The master has a light sleep, so when you clean, you must be careful not to make noise..."
"Hey! Are you listening to me?!"
"What?" 2B glanced back without expression.
"Huh?! Look at me well—why am I wearing this?!" Jalter shouted, filled with rage.
Jalter, this terrifying woman brought from the past, this legend, now wore a black maid outfit while following 2B.
2B tilted her head to one side, "Does it fit loose on your chest?"
"Huh?! My chest is fine!" Jalter blushed, covering her chest. "In fact, it's tight!"
"I see... I will give you a maid's outfit with a larger chest area..."
"You better... Wait, I don't want a new maid outfit!"
"Well, it's a cute uniform for the master's tastes... naturally, you like it..."
"Who wants to please that perverted Master?!" Jalter gasped in anger, still blushing. "What I'm asking is why the hell am I dressed as a maid to begin with?!"
"Ah..." 2B opened her mouth for a moment, then nodded in understanding and handed Jalter a broom, which she took unconsciously, still stunned.
"This uniform is better for doing house chores..."

"..."
Jeanne looked at the broom and broke it. "Don't mess with me!"
Jalter always smiled with disdain and had a very aggressive attitude and dark personality. At the same time, she could be easily fooled and was a peculiar tsundere.
Allen appeared down the hallway and saw the situation; without hesitation, he walked towards Jalter, the girl who was surprised and nervous.
"You... Wh– huh?!"
Allen nodded and drew her in for a hug, patting her head. "Don't worry, Jalter, those evil French won't do anything to you. Just relax, and I'll take you out to buy ice cream later"
Allen withdrew his arm from Jalter's waist, which she kept in place. Had she just been comforted like a child?
Allen left Jalter and stroked the head of 2B.
"Good morning, 2B..."
"Good morning, Master ❤️~"
"B-BASTARD!" Jeanne trembled with anger and shame while pointing at Allen. He turned around and raised an eyebrow, and Jalter took a step back. "W-what?!"
"You look very cute..."
"...!" Jalter summoned her Noble Phantasm. "I'll kill you, even if it kills me!"
"That's exactly what will happen if you do," Bocchi came out of the kitchen with two bowls of cereal.
"One is for you..." said Bocchi shyly as she put the plates on the table.
"Thank you."
Allen stroked Bocchi's head, and it turned into a pink slug that was strangely cute, so Allen sat on a chair and put it on his lap to continue to pamper it in that state; Bocchi also melted for it.
"Hehe...hehe🖤~" That laugh from Bocchi was unpleasant to many, but Allen didn't care.
"Hmph" Jalter snorted.

...
(One day later)
Inside the Guardians of the Globe Headquarters, Cecil frowned as he looked at the man sitting in front of him.
"How can you quit, Immortal?"
"I've been thinking about it for a long time. Too many things have happened, and it's not like it used to be. Now, as a superhero for two generations, I'm surrounded by young people who are getting stronger. I feel stuck, outdated, weak. I feel like my presence is no longer needed..."
"That's nonsense! We have a Viltrumite empire knocking at the door! Humanity needs The Immortal!"
"That's not true!" Immortal stood up and faced Cecil. "You know very well that with Walker here, you don't need me!"
"Is that it? Are you jealous of Walker?" Cecil asked disapprovingly. "You've been a king, a president, a minister, a pharaoh, a general, a scholar, and I could go on. You've been in the most important moments for humanity, and now you feel pressured by a young, attractive guy with a big ego who's stronger than you?"
Immortal grabbed Cecil by the collar of his shirt. "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! I'M NOT OKAY!"
"Immortal... I'll say this just once... let me go!" Cecil gave him a cold look. Immortal could be Lincoln himself, but if Cecil considered him a threat, he wouldn't hesitate to eliminate him. Immortal realized how wrong his actions were and released Cecil's collar.
"Apparently, you're not okay..." Cecil narrowed his eyes while Immortal sat down, his hands covering his face and his body exhausted.
"Cecil, something's wrong with my head. I have a bad temper, I'm paranoid, I forget things. I've always been forgetful, but now, even recent events slip my mind. My mind is messed up... I make bad decisions... I won't lie, I've thought about ripping Rex's head off when he pisses me off."
"Immortal..." Cecil's eyes widened. He didn't know the situation was that serious. Cecil took out a scanner to analyze Immortal's head but saw no significant changes, just an accelerated pulse. "We need to do more tests..."
"It's not necessary... I know what the problem is," Allen appeared, sitting with his feet on the meeting table, then smiled mysteriously. "That's because you're just a regular human, Immortal."
"Walker..." Cecil wasn't surprised by Allen's appearance, but he became alert since he knew Immortal hated him.
"Walker..." Immortal wanted to growl and get angry, but he decided not to. He was tired, and he didn't have the patience to deal with a guy like that.
"It's sad... that you don't try to hit me only to end up humiliated~" Allen had no mercy and mocked Immortal but immediately became lazy. "*Yawn* I have something that can fix your problem..."
"What?" Immortal lifted his gaze, and Cecil also paid attention. Allen was like Doraemon; you never knew what he would pull out of nowhere.
A Neuralyzer appeared in Allen's hand, pulled from his inventory. Allen stood up and walked in front of Immortal.
"That power they gave you two thousand years ago allowed you to live this long... despite being human. However, even though your body adapted to the 'imperfect immortality' to a certain extent, your mind is near its limit... and your habit of dying every season doesn't help."
"Habit?!" Immortal was offended but held back his anger to let Allen speak.
"Neuralyzer?... Walker, are you thinking of erasing his memory?"
"Bingo!" Allen pointed at Cecil. "Cecil, you have great culture if you could recognize the Neuralyzer."
Due to Immortal's regeneration, losing his memories was unlikely, but not impossible—especially in his current state.
Allen gave Cecil a lazy look. "At this rate, in a few hundred years, Immortal will completely lose his mind."
Allen wasn't a benevolent saint. Helping Immortal with his mental problems was necessary because, eventually, he would truly go insane.
Immortal looked at the device in Allen's hand, which appeared to be a thick black pen with a red light on top.
"Would I lose all my memories?"
"No, just the ones you choose: a hundred years ago, a thousand years ago, two thousand years ago..."
Immortal gave a serious look, as did Cecil. Both knew that this device, capable of selectively erasing memories, was very dangerous.
Allen shrugged with a still mocking smile. "If I want to conquer the world, do I really need such an inelegant method?"
Cecil turned his gaze away, feeling foolish, as Allen was right—he could dominate the world with his power if he wanted. This Neuralyzer wasn't a threat in his hands.
Immortal looked at his hands and sighed, the weight of his own experiences... was crushing him.
"Walker, I hate you, I'd like to beat you up, but... help me." With that answer, he didn't need to say more to make his decision clear.
"Haha, what a coincidence," Allen squinted his eyes. "I hate you too, but I'll help you so you won't be a problem, old man..."
Immortal stood up. "Just one thing, Walker... I'd like to keep the memories of the last two hundred years..."
"You're too demanding, but fine... just the last two hundred years?" Allen raised an eyebrow with confusion. "Don't you have anyone you'd like to remember? I don't know... maybe some special cavewoman from your past?"
"No, I forgot their faces and names a long time ago... I just remember they existed, but what's the point of that?"
"..."
Allen remained silent. He hadn't started a livestream for this, so it was a blessing. He didn't want to worry girls with that problem; it was too early. Beings like Beerus and Whis can live millions of years without being affected, but a human isn't designed for immortality. Allen had to keep that in mind for the future.
[Allen, don't worry, I can adapt the human mind and soul to immortality.]
"I know... but I haven't thought about that, I don't know... it's too soon to decide something like that, though I don't plan on dying before the last of my wives..."
Allen had women who would live a long time; some, like Makima and Artoria, might not even die from old age. In that sense, Allen didn't plan on dying and leaving them alone, so eventually, he would have to extend his lifespan... but that's a story for a very distant future.
"Alright, Immortal... it's time," Allen pulled out two pairs of black glasses and handed one to Cecil. He took them and put them on without hesitation, which made Allen smile.
Gwen – Seems like Cecil has also seen Men in Black. Haha...
"What's with the glasses?"
Allen and Cecil stopped moving and looked at Immortal, who was confused.
"Oh my God, you haven't seen Men in Black?"
"What?"
Allen hit his forehead. "No wonder you want to die, you don't know the good stuff about life!"
Cecil scolded him, "Immortal, you've lived for two thousand years and you haven't learned about the good entertainment from this last century?"
Hulk – Hulk has seen a giant cockroach!
Meave – Haha well... no wonder the director of the GDA watches a movie about an organization that protects humanity in a universe full of aliens.
...
Fed up with Immortal, Allen raised the Neuralyzer and pressed the button. Immortal saw a white light that blinded him for a minute, and the voices tormenting him, the memories of past eras, all faded away... his mind was cleared of all that "Noise."
Silence...
Immortal closed his eyes and let himself fall into the silence. It had been many centuries since he had felt this peaceful.
"Well, first I was gonna pop this guy hanging from the streetlight, and then I realized, you know, he's just working out. How would I feel if somebody come bustin' in on me while I'm on the treadmill? Then I saw this snarling beast guy and I noticed he had a tissue in his hand. I realized he's not snarling, he's sneezing..."
When he opened his eyes, Immortal was on a sofa with Allen and Cecil on either side, eating popcorn.
"Then I saw little Tiffany and I thought, '8-year-old white girl, in a black neighborhood, among a bunch of monsters at this time of night, with quantum physics books...' She's about to do something, bro. She's like 8 years old, those books are way too advanced for her."
Allen threw his popcorn on the floor, "Holy shit, J is absolutely fucking right, I would have shot the girl too!"
Cecil shook his head, pointing at the screen. "No, J should've arrested her and interrogated her to find out the evil plan behind it!"
Allen opened his eyes, "True!"
Immortal stared at the pair of bastards watching a movie together like friends. Unexpectedly, Immortal did not feel the urge to get angry. He soon grabbed the popcorn from Cecil and watched the movie with them.
"Walker, I still think you're an asshole, and I'd beat you up if I could, but... thanks."
"You're welcome, but I'll keep half of your relics..."
"What relics?"
"I meant... you're welcome."
...
Allen returned to his apartment with a smile. He was going to bother Jalter and maybe spend some quality time with 2B. "Now that I think about it, I should've compensated the girls."
There was a debt owed to Wednesday, Makima, Esdeath, and Albedo.
"Master..." 2B greeted him at the door with concern.
"What's wrong?"
Allen was led into the living room, where he saw a large wooden box opened.
"But Jalter just arrived..."
"Hmph..." Jalter snorted while standing in the doorway, looking at the box.
Eve, Amanda, and Kate had not yet arrived, but that may still be lucky. Allen hasn't even explained the origin of the dolls yet.
Allen checked the box and the coffin was still in the box.
"I wonder when this girl will wake up"
??? - Oya~ Master it's not necessary, I was already awake since the beginning, I cheated a little bit~ but you'll forgive me right?~
"You are..."
??? – Ara Ara don't worry~ I have no intention of hurting you.... Let me introduce myself. I'm Kurumi Tokisaki. Though many call me... the Most Dangerous Spirit... But don't worry, I don't usually bite... unless provoked~"
"Kurumi?"
??? – Ufufu~ you're already calling me with such closeness, it's flattering.... Come on, don't be shy~ you can give me a nickname if you want after all... we have all the time in the world... don't we?
"I don't want to play mind games with you, I know how you are, just tell me your wish..."
Kurumi – Ara~ that's sad. I'd like to play with you~ but it's okay... Allen Walker, lend me your power to kill someone, and I'll give you my life... no matter how short it is.
Allen blinked silently.
"It depends... if the situation warrants it and you'll have to wait for us to come to your world..."
Kurumi – That's enough for now M A S T E R~ it's a pleasure to be your new doll~
Allen could feel the falsehood in Kurumi's every word but it didn't bother him, he just smiled, "Yeah, It's a pleasure"

A/N: I love that scene in men in black, Absolute Cinema.
PS: I don't know if you liked this other addition but Kurumi is a terrifyingly popular girl all over the world. 🍷🗿
