Chapter 569 - 569 Record of Ragnarok: The indescribable pressure of Defeat, Climax of Destruction, Hits Break Logic and Near the End.
The third battle of Ragnarok had begun, leaving everyone speechless. The intervention of Allen and his seemingly normal second life.
*Boom*
Each punch shook the sacred mountain; every strike made the heavens tremble, and every blow felt like it could end the world. Every impact reminded the audience that this was a battle to protect their world, people, and lives.
Only one winner— And the loser dies. Period...
Only one winner— And the losers push their race one step closer to extinction...
Humans vs Gods... Was there really anyone willing to bet on the humans?
As Shiva launched his attack, Allen lowered his center of gravity and leaned forward without dropping his guard. This allowed him to instantly accelerate toward Shiva, who was still mid-strike.
Allen knew his main advantage was at the start. Shiva lacked the experience to face someone like him. Allen's movements were completely new to him; his shifting positions, his unique way of blocking attacks, of dodging, of playing with his opponent's positioning. Allen had the upper hand in round one, and he knew it; so he took full advantage.
Allen struck Shiva in the abdomen, knocking the air clean out of him.
Nokotan – "YOU GOT HIM! GO ALL OUT!"
Allen's eyes glowed, and his figure resembled a charging locomotive. Shiva felt a chill before he lost his stance. The first punch knocked the air out of him. The second hit him in the face, shaking his brain. The third was a left hook to the nose. The fourth is a straight right to the stomach.
An uppercut!
A hook!
A straight punch!
Allen let out bursts of air like searing steam as his fists literally caught fire from the friction. His flaming punches left painful marks on Shiva's body.
"You've got him, honey!" shouted Brunhilde.
"Go, brother!" Göll joined in, with Randgriz also cheering Allen on from a room with a monitor. Gods and humans alike watched the monumental beating.
*DING! DING!*
Just as it looked like Allen would win, he stopped his assault and stepped back. At first, the crowd didn't understand, but Heimdall stepped in to clarify.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, GODS AND HUMANS—AS AN ADDITIONAL RULE IN RAGNAROK, COMBATANTS MAY CHOOSE TO EITHER CHANGE THE LOCATION OR SELECT THE TYPE OF FIGHT TO BE FOUGHT!"
Shiva chose his sacred mountain as the location, and Allen chose boxing as the form of combat.
...
Shiva remained dazed momentarily before his body gave in, dropping to one knee. Then he looked up at Allen, sweat dripping down the man's body.
"I see... so that's it..." Shiva muttered. His body was wounded and bleeding from his nose and mouth, but the god of destruction still had a clear mind—and his body was far from finished.
"Ugh..."
Pain...
Even so, Shiva did feel pain. Every punch felt like it was trying to steal his soul, destroy his divinity, and tear apart everything he stood for. He didn't know why Allen's blows felt this way—but he could only accept it.
Allen walked back to his corner, leaving the god of destruction behind...
...
Shiva did the same, and immediately his son Ganesha—a humanoid elephant—approached and placed a stool for him to sit. Parvati, one of Shiva's wives, came with a towel.
"Darling, can I help heal your wounds?"
With divine power, healing minor injuries wasn't difficult—but upon hearing her, Shiva frowned.
Shiva observed Allen being attended to by women appearing out of nowhere, "Don't be ridiculous. This pause is only for breaks and minor treatment. It is forbidden any more external intervention than that. If you do it, their wives will do it too, and this fight will never end."
...
Allen sat on the stool Yuri placed. Then Esdeath appeared with a water bottle, which Allen took and drank from. 2B also appeared and wiped the sweat and blood off him. Nokotan approached, fully immersed in her current role, examining Allen's face while holding his cheeks.
"Nothing's broken, you're all good! You're doing great, damn it!" Nokotan gave him a serious look. "Don't let that bastard throw a counterpunch—I want you to be like a damn storm and beat his ass nonstop, got it?!"
"Yeah!"
Allen felt a bit weird seeing himself cheering himself on, but since Nokotan was careless, she had small horns poking from her head, so her disguise wasn't exactly perfect.
Gwen – What am I even supposed to say to this?
Eve – When Allen told me to be ready to see anything, he really meant it!
Amanda – I need to take five-minute breaks just to process that everything I'm seeing is real.
Kate – Gods... huh
Samantha – I would expect no less from my Emperor~
Anissa – So this is your life?... No matter where you go I will support you❤️~
...
*DING! DING!*
Allen and Shiva stood up and walked to the center of the massive ring.
Allen extended his hand; it was not a blow, just a common gesture of respect, but Shiva ignored it and punched him in the face.
Rebecca – Cheater!
Albedo – @$#$!
Brunhilde – That bastard!
Yuji – That's unfair!
People were outraged by the rejection of this show of sportsmanship—even some gods disapproved of Shiva's action.
Allen's nose bled from the surprise attack, but he didn't get angry.
"Hey, what's your problem?!" Shiva sneered in disgust. "This is a brutal, merciless deathmatch—not a friendly spar!"
Shiva's words silenced the angry crowd. Immediately after, a punch struck Shiva in the head, making him stagger as Allen's glove exploded again. Allen chose not to answer with words—but with action.
"You..." Shiva on being interrupted, grew irritated and struck back at Allen, but Allen—ready this time—blocked both incoming right punches. He countered, but Shiva managed to block as well.
Allen stomped his foot and pushed himself forward vanished, and Shiva did the same. Sounds of blows echoed from all directions, yet neither fighter could be seen. Their speed had surpassed the perception of most of humanity—and soon, even many gods could no longer follow the battle at such high velocity.
Some stood up from their seats. People were in disbelief, watching something that kept getting more and more intense.
Round two left normalcy behind—and escalated to the legendary.
Faster...
Stronger...
Blows and impacts began to destroy the arena...
Out of nowhere, the two reappeared in a still image—Allen landing a punch on Shiva's face.
They vanished again.
They reappeared—Shiva landing two punches to Allen's stomach.
They vanished again.
Allen reappeared—punching Shiva in the left cheek.
They vanished again.
Shiva reappeared—grabbing Allen's arms with his two upper hands, while his lower arms struck Allen's abdomen.
They vanished again.
Allen reappeared—blocking a kick. In the same motion, he grabbed Shiva's leg with his now glove-less hand, the glove destroyed once again—and struck his stomach, driving him into the ground.
"Ahh!"
Shiva screamed in pain but managed to counter with his free leg, pushing Allen away. The fight paused for a moment, as drops of Allen's sweat sizzled in the air. Still, his breathing remained perfectly under control.
Shiva stood, spat blood, stretched slightly, and jumped once.
"Hey, I thought you were more arrogant. You know, I expected you to throw out some smug line every time you land a hit..."
"Not in the mood..." Allen replied. His expression seemed relaxed, but his muscles were tense—ready to explode at any moment.
Shiva wasn't dumb. Seeing Allen's sweat, he immediately realized that his "Cheat" had cost Allen a lot of Power. At the very least, this human standing before him wasn't the same terrifying being that had pulverized Zeus.
This left Shiva conflicted. He should be mad about that—who wants to be underestimated? But instead, he was angry about something else.
It was a subtle feeling weighing on him—because unlike the monster Allen, who never felt human from start to finish, the man now standing in front of him clearly was. And because of that...
He felt pressured.
Underestimated.
Weak.
Even slightly humiliated.
'Nah... that's fine...'
Shiva smiled again, he kept his rage in check. He could not afford to lose control; especially against such a dangerous opponent.
"I see..." Shiva tilted his head as his smile faded. "I guess I should've raised the stakes more..."
A wave of danger swept across the entire arena.
*DING! DING!*
The bell rang, announcing the end of the round. Shiva walked grumpily to his corner while Allen returned to his.
As he sat down, Jalter appeared with a towel to wipe off his sweat. Esdeath handed him a bottle of water and then began to put him in a new pair of gloves.
[Boxing Gloves Blue]
Allen started to think that putting on gloves was pointless.
Nokotan stood in front of Allen once more. "You're taking a lot of damage. At this rate, your body won't hold out. Why don't you use your secret weapon?"
"I will... when the time comes."
Yuri looked nervously at the god on the other side, who seemed increasingly angry. "Allen, when is that moment?"
Allen just smiled.
...
MJ – Again...
Ruby – I'm not the only one who noticed...
Annie – Something wrong?
Nikky – Shiva... he's so fast and strong...
Beerus – Hm? He's a god of destruction, so that's normal. Honestly, I find him pretty weak...
MJ – Well, how can I put it... While descriptions like 'world destroyer' sound amazing, the truth is that he's never really demonstrated that kind of power. Most of his battles aren't as incredible as they should be...
Unohana – I see... So this Shiva before us is showing abilities beyond what he normally should?
MJ – Yes... but this has happened many times before. Allen used to attribute it to his bad luck, believing it was his fate to always encounter the strongest possible variants of characters—like a curse. However...
Emma Frost – Tsk, once again it's the World's Will... But in this world, it shouldn't be interfering.
Gwen – That's true, but...
Athena – It's definitely suspicious...
...
...
*DING! DING!*
The third round began with both fighters charging in with blows that shook the world. Each strike landing on the other's body added to the damage, and both fighters began to wear down.
"This is tough!"
Shiva created distance between himself and Allen. With a determined look, he began to dance—the dance that only he could perform. A dance that made him completely unpredictable.
"TANDAVA!"
Shiva moved, leaving behind residual images—not just a few, but hundreds, thousands all over the arena. No one could tell where he was, how he'd strike, or when.
Brunhilde clutched her chest, worried. She wanted to help Allen, but at the moment she couldn't do Volundr with him while he used his Second Record. Everyone in the chat knew it—Allen was limited. He had to be, to participate in this fight.
Rocky stared silently at Allen... and smiled. "Don't worry."
...
Allen remained in the center of the ring, and to everyone's surprise, he closed his eyes.
Shiva laughed mockingly. "Trained your mind's eye? That might work on others, but I'm Shiva, the king of the Hindu gods!"
Gods were irrational beings. They didn't abide by mortal knowledge. They were something beyond humanity.
"..." Allen said nothing.
Being ignored enraged Shiva. He was having the most incredible fight of his life... but he couldn't enjoy it... Not against Allen. Not against this human.
Shiva accelerated and struck from the most unexpected angle with his TANDAVA!
Allen moved, his movement so fluid that he seemed to know where to strike to disable the Tandava.
*CRACK*
"...?!"
Everyone was stunned—gods included. Even Shiva himself. Allen's fist had landed deep in his abdomen, breaking several things inside. His divine dance was completely nullified.
Allen's eyes opened, and a massive pressure burst from him, accompanied by an explosion of red lightning.
"They really were unpredictable moves. If I couldn't see the future, I would've been hit."
Allen's statement sent chills down everyone's spine. But he didn't stop there—he proceeded to give Shiva a brutal beating.
Punch after punch after blow after strike after strike after strike—each one infused with "will," each one damaging the god of destruction far beyond expectation.
"Ahh!"
*DING! DING!*
The round ended, and Shiva staggered back to his corner while Allen returned to his. As Allen collapsed into his seat, he was tended to again by the girls and Yuri.
Allen smiled as they cared for him, while Shiva remained silent as if contemplating something.
Go King!
You can do it, Shiva!
Don't give up honey!
Behind him, the cheers of the gods erupted. Shiva smiled. "That's right. I'm fighting for all of them. I can't let them down..."
Shiva and Allen walked to the center of the ring. This time, Shiva smiled. Though he didn't appear very injured on the outside, Allen's blows had caused massive internal damage—ruptured organs, broken bones, torn muscles. None of it showed on his face. Instead, he smiled.
"You're an annoying man... this fight was supposed to be the highlight of my life, but I can't even enjoy it..." Shiva smiled peacefully. "You're terrifying..." freewebnøvel.com
Then Shiva drove his hand into his own chest and began stimulating his heart.
Brunhilde leaned over the railing, worried. "This is it! Be careful dear!!"
There is a legend...
"When the time comes, Lord Shiva will perform the Tandava and bring destruction to the world." But there is more to the legend: "Then Shiva will ignite his body in flames, and from his ashes, recreate the world. This is known as: Battle Dance -Ashes- TANDAVA KARMA."
*Auge!*
With a bang, the earth shook!
The fire of destruction spread in all directions, covering the entire sky. It was overwhelming—so much so that it seemed it could truly destroy the world.
"So, shall we continue?" Shiva said with a smile, fully displaying his power.
"..." Amid the flames that could burn the world, Allen remained unmoved.
Allen had never been a man with a strong fighting spirit. His life had been defined by two things: fighting to survive and fighting because he had to.
However, in recent times, there have been moments where Allen showed that within him lay a true warrior. That was revealed in his fight against Battle Beast.
Rocky... had been Allen's mentor—not just to teach him how to punch (though he did), but to show him something Allen possessed without even realizing it.
Rocky wasn't the fastest boxer...
Rocky wasn't the strongest boxer...
Rocky wasn't the most skilled boxer...
Rocky didn't have the best genetics, nor was he a genius at combat...
He got knocked down, but he got back up. He was beaten, but he stood tall. He was smashed by guys bigger and stronger, but he kept going... and going...
But he had something... something Allen respected. Something Allen accepted at the cost of sweat and blood.
Rocky's teachings flashed through Allen's mind.
— "Listen, kid. He's a god, and you're just a man. His punches will hurt a hundred times more than any heavyweight. Hitting him is like punching a steel wall... and there's no magic trick I can teach you. All I can say is: keep going! If it hurts, keep hitting! If you feel like you're about to break, keep hitting! Even if you're inferior in everything—don't be inferior in will! Become a goddamn mass of WILL!" —
...
Allen smiled... a smile amid the destruction, a broad smile that cleared the fear of all those who had been frightened by Shiva's overwhelming power...
Allen raised his guard and made the same inviting gesture with his hand...
Shiva was speechless...
How someone so insignificant could generate such an oppressive feeling in him.
"Human!"
"God!"
Both attacked in the last clash of this great battle.
