Chapter 505: 505. Relax

Uncle Darien was satisfied with the two’s answer.

After saying a few more words to remind them, Uncle Darien went to City A Base in advance. His team was following behind him, not speaking and only stayed silent as if they couldn’t understand what Uncle Darien was saying with Dylan and Anna.

No matter what they were talking about, these people didn’t seem to be very interested.

"Uncle has developed his own small faction and bodyguards," Anna commented after Uncle Darien’s car and the metal carriage was already a distance away.

"Yes." Dylan narrowed his eyes. "It seems that Uncle’s method to keep them by his side is quite good."

In the past, it was easy to get bodyguards because they only needed to pay the corresponding amount of money. These people were mostly people who were ready to die because they understood the seriousness of this matter.

Now that the world had changed and become even more dangerous with so many big mutated animals out there, people treasured their lives more. Some of them were willing to bet with their lives in order to become stronger, some others become even more timid and didn’t dare to go out.

But all in all, it was not so easy to cultivate a group of people who were close to them.

"Yes." Anna nodded and chuckled. "But I’m not interested in it."

Anna had no such social skill to make people gather around her. If she had such time, Anna would rather spend her time to practice her own skills and made sure that she didn’t make any mistake and so on.

The few moves she had developed with the wood element were varied and many of them were quite powerful.

To deal with ordinary big mutated animals, these few moves were enough.

And Anna was more interested to develop more ways to attack the big mutated animals with her element. Not only the ordinary big mutated animals, but she also wished to attack the powerful big mutated animals with her wood element.

She felt that personal strength is very important.

And that was what she wanted to focus in.

Naturally, Anna would not spend all of her time in seclusion to train. She had no interest to do such thing and would still spend more time with her husband.

For her, it was also important.

"I know." Dylan smiled.

He had grown up beside Anna and naturally knew that Anna didn’t have much thoughts about making her own group and power. She was also not very interested in business and only listened to her mother because of her mother’s inheritance.

If it was possible, it seemed that Anna would have long tossed the matter out of her mind as far away as possible.

But it was not possible.

Back then, her mother wanted her to be the successor, so Anna still learn a few things related to it. Unfortunately, her mother passed away when Anna was still in high school, so the knowledge that her mother could pass to her was limited.

"Let’s go back now." Anna smiled at Dylan.

Having someone who understood her was definitely something that Anna felt grateful for the most. Because she knew that she had someone she could rely on and also someone who would stay by her side when she needed it the most.

For her, this was enough.

"Ok." Dylan nodded in agreement.

"Meow~."

Kitty also raised his paw as if he was agreeing with Anna’s words. Though, the two humans didn’t seem to care if the cat has any opinion.

The two of them put some of the big mutated animals’ corpses on the rooftop of the car, the nonedible kind and tied it up. At the very least, this could be a reason for them not present in the base.

Even though it was unlikely for some people to pay attention to them, it would be better to be careful.

On their return, the guards were respectful and they could exchange these big mutated animals’ corpse for contribution points quickly. In any case, the base was still collecting these big mutated animals’ corpses for various reasons.

One of them was naturally for the research that was done in the research institute.

"For today, I want a warm bath~." Anna sighed after they parked their car. After having their own mansion, their car naturally could be parked in the central area. They didn’t have to walk a long distance back like they used to be.

"Meow." Kitty jumped out of the car and walked back to the bathroom. He also wanted to take a bath.

"Let’s wash Kitty first." Dylan saw the cat’s action and smiled.

"Ah, that little cat." Anna looked at the cat helplessly. She wanted to take a bath, but the cat was now competing the place with her. It seemed that she could only take a bath after the cat was done.

"Alright, let’s take care of this little cat~."

"Meow!" I’m not little! You’re the one who’s little!

Kitty meowed in protest. After he mutated, his body’s size had increased sharply, so he was no longer as small as he used to be. Besides, it was good enough for him to be bigger than majority of the cats.

He was definitely not as big as that extremely large mutated animal they encountered before.

Even if Kitty was strong, his size was strangely controlled within acceptable range.

Well, only acceptable.

Because right now, Kitty was already bigger than most cats and it seemed that his growth would not stop anytime soon. The meat from those big mutated animals that Kitty eaten had helped the cat to grow bigger and stronger.

"What is it, Kitty? Already impatient for the bath?" Dylan walked out of the car. He smirked. "If you’re that impatient, how about taking a bath with my ice?"

"Meow!" Don’t you dare!

Kitty quickly put on defensive position. He knew how cold Dylan’s ice could be and he refused to be bathed with that!

It was so freaking cold.

Anna pushed Dylan with a laugh. "Stop fooling around. Let’s go inside and help Kitty to take a bath."
