Chapter 528: 528. Projects?

Uncle Darien stopped.

He looked at Lucas and saw the young man was staring back in his direction firmly. Lucas was nothing more than a messenger from the other two families. Since both the Raymond Family and the Jules Family were military families, it was easier for them to communicate with each other.

This made the news that came to Uncle Darien only came after the other two leaders have already finished their discussion.

Uncle Darien was also helpless about this.

It was not like he wanted it, but it could only be like this.

"How about the Jules Family?" Uncle Darien asked.

Lucas came from the Raymond Family, so what he needed to hear was what Uncle Matthias decided for his family.

These two people have their own way of thinking, but they were working hard to make sure that the base would be fine. So in the matter related to the base, Uncle Darien could still trust them to a certain degree.

"Uncle Matthias agreed," Lucas replied. "Because it’ll be hard for our base not to connect with other bases. We could start the plan, but the implementation would definitely take a long time."

Due to the distance and also the big mutated animals out there, any kind of road will definitely take a long time to make.

But they were willing to take a bet and started the plan.

Because if they managed to succeed, it would only become better and better in the future.

How many people have their relatives in other cities and couldn’t meet each other after the disaster appeared?

They could only silently pray for themselves.

Hoping that there would come a day when they could reunite with each other.

Communication still existed to a certain degree, but Uncle Darien knew that it would be hard for them to see each other because of those big mutated animals out there.

Originally, it shouldn’t be that difficult.

After the flood subsided, many people went to various different cities in order to find their relatives. But when the big mutated animals, those who have been preparing themselves could only hold themselves back.

Because it was impossible for them to defeat many big mutated animals on their own.

They had to wait.

And this wait would last forever if nothing were to be done.

"I see." Uncle Darien took a deep breath. He understood that there would definitely be some pressure from others too, but he didn’t know what he should do.

The resources from their base would not be enough to do such a large scale project.

"Uncle Darien..."

"The plan can be started to be made, but they have to remember that we don’t have enough funds for a lot of large scale project," Uncle Darien quickly reminded.

Because he knew very well that it would have been difficult for City A Base to survive if they were to focus on these projects. There were many other things that they had to do in the face of those big mutated animals.

Uncle Darien sighed deeply.

He knew very well that it would have been impossible for City A Base to split their attention so much.

"No funds?" Lucas asked.

"No materials," Uncle Darien replied simply. "The resources from the mine had to be used to strengthen City A Base first and also to rebuild various industries that have been destroyed before. We don’t have enough to make road so quickly."

Unless there was a good reason as to why they have to make the road so quickly, Uncle Darien simply couldn’t approve this project and then allocated so much resources for the long future prospect that was simply too far away from them.

"I will relay this to them." Lucas could only say that.

He felt that his future prospect was simply too bleak. He kept on hearing various matters from the three leaders but he couldn’t tell this to anyone else or he would be suspected and might be caught.

Life is really difficult.

But at the same time, Lucas also didn’t want to resign from this position because this would also satisfy his curiosity about various things that he might not be able to hear otherwise.

After all, who would tell someone like him about various secrets of the base?

Lucas also knew about this matter and felt that for him to do this was to maintain this delicate balance and be careful in his words and action. As long as he did that, he should be fine.

It was just that the process wouldn’t be easy.

"You go."

With one order, Lucas was kicked out.

Uncle Darien sighed deeply.

The problem of these big mutated animals was simply endless.

Is there any way to eliminate a large number of big mutated animals so that they would be saver?

Uncle Darien’s eyes flickered.

There might be some plans... but without strong awakened or something like that, it would be impossible for them to implement this...

*sigh*

Forget it, it was not his problem alone.

The others might come up with different kind of plans to deal with these big mutated animals.

...

Dylan and Anna’s side.

The two of them finished their talk with Mark and Lucy. Alan and Lidia were also present, but they didn’t talk much aside from discussing their mission tomorrow.

But all in all, they agreed to meet with each other in front of the underground passage entrance tomorrow.

This big mutated rats’ nest was located under their base and if it was left alone, they would only replay the tragedy of these big mutated animals coming to attack the base together like how it was in the past.

No one wanted it to happen.

A lot of people’s lives were put on the stake.

"These big mutated animals seem to multiply faster than expected," Anna commented as the two of them made their way to their mansion.

Dylan nodded.

"This is why there are many missions related to the big mutated animals."
