I'm Trapped Inside a Prince as the Most Powerful Entity-Chapter 76: Flying and Hidden Truths
Chapter 76: Flying and Hidden Truths
The King’s reassuring words, "You and your family are under my protection," seemed to help Alina relax a little. She took a deep, calming breath. She still looked a bit nervous, but more focused. You could almost feel how important this moment was, knowing her words could change a lot.
"My Lord King," Alina began, her voice a little shaky at first but getting stronger, "where... where should I start telling this whole story?."
King Noor IV thought about her question for a few seconds, looking thoughtful. He needed a clear story, in order, starting from when Eric’s actions might have made the Empire angry.
"Tell me," he said, his voice calm and even, "how you and Prince Eric reached the Roland Kingdom. Begin there. After that, detail all subsequent incidents as clearly and precisely as you can remember them."
Alina stayed quiet for a few moments, gathering her thoughts. She looked down like she was replaying all the crazy events in her mind. Then, she looked up and met the King’s eyes.
"My Lord," she said, "after Prince Eric... beat a high-ranking member of the Spider Syndicate here in Crestport he somehow got information about their main base. The location. I... I don’t know how he got it. One moment he was questioning that man, and the next, he seemed to just... know."
Hearing this, the King looked surprised for a moment and then fell into a thoughtful silence. Eric, standing by the platform, was also quite surprised. He had no memory of how he found out where the Syndicate headquarters was from Oliver.
He don’t remembered the fight, the black hole power he had used, but he couldn’t remember anything about getting information. He looked at Alina with very curious eyes. How had he gotten such important information without anyone, especially Alina who was there, knowing exactly how?
Alina, who didn’t seem to notice the questions her words had raised, continued her story. "After that, after he knew where the main base was, Prince Eric and I... we went to the Roland Kingdom—"
At this, the King raised a hand, a small but clear signal for Alina to pause. She stopped talking immediately and looked at him, wondering what was wrong.
The King leaned forward a little on his throne. "How, Alina?" he asked, his voice still calm but with a sharp interest underneath. "How did you both go to the Roland Kingdom? It’s a long way, and the borders are not unguarded."
Hearing this direct question, Alina blushed a little. She shifted uncomfortably from one foot to the other. Her parents, who were still kneeling just behind her, also looked at Alina with obvious curiosity. They clearly didn’t know this part of the story.
Alina then said, her voice a little softer now, sounding a bit embarrassed, "Actually, My Lord... Prince Eric... he flew with me to the Roland Kingdom. He carried me."
The statement hung in the air for a moment. Then, what she said seemed to hit everyone there like a physical shock. The Queen gasped audibly. The Royal Guards standing stiffly by the walls exchanged shocked, unbelieving looks.
The King himself was clearly amazed. His eyebrows shot up. "Flew?" he repeated, his voice full of disbelief. "What do you mean, he flew? Like a bird? Through the air?"
Eric, too, was quite surprised by this news. He looked at Alina, then down at his own hands, looking confused. Flew? Can I actually fly? His attention then automatically turned inwards, towards the "System Window" as he thought of it – the source of his strange powers. A sudden, almost happy wave of excitement washed over Eric as a new thought started to grow.
This is my true, full power. There are abilities, hidden deep inside me, that I haven’t even started to unlock. If I can fly... what else can I do? If I can just learn to control this System, I too could do such amazing things. The idea, even though it was vague, was exciting.
The King himself was also very surprised. He glanced quickly at Eric, who was looking at Alina with a mix of wonder and confusion. The King wondered, his mind trying to understand this new, amazing piece of information, Does Eric not even remember his own skills? Does he not remember what he can do? I don’t understand any of this.
Perhaps... perhaps after so much fighting, after the terrible experience with the Imperial Captain, his mind has been affected, making him forget these things. It’s possible.
But even if that was true, so many questions were still unanswered. The difference between the Eric he knew and the Eric who could apparently fly across kingdoms and take down Syndicate bases was huge.
As the King was thinking about this confusing development, Alina, perhaps feeling she needed to continue and explain, started speaking again. Her voice was steady again. "Yes, My Lord. He flew. Very fast. After we landed in the Whisperwood Forest, near their hidden entrance, we... we snuck into the Spider Syndicate’s main base. And there, inside... Prince Eric... he took care of almost everyone. All the Syndicate members we met. And he got all the prisoners, including my parents, out safely." She pointed towards her mother and father, who nodded silently, showing their gratitude.
Hearing this story of Eric’s actions inside the Syndicate headquarters, the King stayed silent for a few seconds, thinking about the information.
Destroying a major Syndicate base, even one in Roland territory, was a big hit against the criminal group. But it didn’t directly explain why the Roland royal family complained to the Emperor, or the Imperial Captain’s specific accusation. He needed more.
"Alina," the King asked, his gaze intense once more, "besides this Spider Syndicate base, this specific place, did you go anywhere else in the Roland Kingdom? Or, during the fight at the base, did you notice anything... unusual? Anyone there other than their known members, their workers, or their prisoners?" He was trying to find any detail, anything strange that might connect Eric’s actions directly to the Roland royal family.
After hearing this, Alina was silent for a second, her forehead wrinkled in concentration as she tried to remember every detail of the chaotic events inside the Syndicate’s underground hideout.
Then, just as Alina was about to shake her head, Eric himself spoke up. A flicker of a memory, broken but clear, suddenly came to his mind. "Father," he said, his voice hesitant but with a new certainty, "actually... now that you mention it... I... I think I did notice one thing. Something that seemed out of place at the time."
The King himself was surprised by Eric suddenly remembering this, thinking, He didn’t remember any of this until now, but suddenly this detail comes out? He didn’t say this thought out loud, though.
He just nodded for Eric to continue, paying full attention. The Queen also leaned forward, looking closely at her son.
Eric continued, his voice getting a little more confident as the memory became clearer.
"Actually, in that base, during all the chaos, I saw... I saw many soldiers. Not Syndicate thugs. They were wearing different armor. Uniforms I didn’t recognize from our own kingdom. And... I think... I think they were soldiers of the Roland Kingdom." He paused, then added with more certainty, "Yes. I’m sure of it. Their symbols... they were Roland’s."
Hearing this, a deep, chilling silence fell over the throne room. The King became completely still. His face was hard to read, but his eyes glinted with a new, dangerous understanding.
The Queen gasped softly, her hand flying to her mouth. The Royal Guards present, who had been listening with focused attention, also fell completely silent. Their expressions changed from surprise to a slow, horrified understanding. Soldiers of the Roland Kingdom. Inside a Spider Syndicate headquarters. What this meant was serious, far-reaching, and possibly explosive.
