Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System-Chapter 366: Tier 2 Origin Shop, 2★ Origin Units
Deciding he needed something to calm his nerves, Cassius silently entered the Originverse while he and the others rode atop the angel-dragon, Raijin.
FWIP!
Appearing within the mostly empty world of white, Cassius observed his Origin Farmers hard at work. He also noticed some of them occasionally going into the house and taking what appeared to be naps.
"I thought they were supposed to be autonomous—"
Pausing mid-sentence, he noticed an abundance of different-colored balls of light dropping around the sleeping Origin Farmers. More were dropping from these Farmers than from the ones hard at work outside, which struck Cassius as odd.
[Before you ask, Origin Units do indeed drop more Attribute Orbs while recuperating. In fact, the only reason they recuperate in the first place is for the Attribute Orbs!]
[Think of this process as a gumball machine periodically dispensing gumballs at a moderate rate. Then, when the gumball machine runs low on gumballs, they're refilled in an extremely massive influx. From that influx, numerous gumballs will slip out of the machine, and those are what you see dropping from the Origin Units while they're recuperating.]
"I see," Cassius said plainly. "So they're autonomous but sleep for the sake of maximizing gains?"
[Correctoid!]
Nodding in understanding, Cassius then requested the pop-up displaying the cost of the next Origin Village upgrade:
{[Small Origin Courtyard]} - [Tier 3 Village]
[Upgrade Cost: 100 Unity]
Checking how much Unity he had in storage, Cassius saw:
[Current Unity: 187]
"Upgrade the Origin Village," he ordered while floating above the small courtyard like an overseeing deity. "Right after, purchase 100 Origin Farmers and place them throughout the Village."
*Ding!*
[Heeding the Host's request, 100 Unity has been spent to upgrade the Origin Village!]
[Small Origin Courtyard (Tier 3) → Large Origin Courtyard (Tier 4)!]
FWOOOM!
Expanding over ten times its original size, the once-small courtyard now spanned thousands of square feet. Furthermore, the house at the center had grown significantly, now boasting a third floor as well as over a dozen new rooms.
It almost looked like a mansion—but it wasn't there just yet.
Outside the enlarged house stood two big sheds, each two stories tall and offering hundreds of square feet of interior space. They were considerably more spacious than their predecessors.
The Origin Farmers showed no reaction to the changes around them.
However, when over a hundred more of their kind appeared out of nowhere, they started to move. Quickly getting into position, they resumed the tilling process, with the newcomers following their lead.
Soon, Cassius had over a hundred super-efficient farmers growing Unity Crops that would soon bring him and his colony to even greater heights.
It was truly sublime.
"With that done and out of the way, I'll collect what they've left for me, then—"
Before he could continue, a System Notification rang out:
*Ding~!*
[It's recommended that the Host begin investing in Origin Builders and Origin Woodcutters!]
"Why—?"
Before he could finish asking, another set of pop-ups flashed before him:
[Your Origin Village has achieved Tier 4, thus unlocking 2★ Origin Units!]

The unveiling of these System Screens put Cassius into deep thought.
Obviously, he had to purchase them.
But in what order?
He wasn't too sure.
Ultimately, he decided to buy some of each one. It was the best way to get things done in his mind. Plus, it would be interesting to see so much diversity in his Farmer-dominated area.
FWIP! FWIP! FWIP!
Materializing all over the place were shadowy figures that matched the stereotypes behind their titles. Their appearances quickly populated the previously empty space, putting a small smile on Cassius's face.
'Time to see what they can do.'
His anticipatory thoughts rang out as he first had the 2★ Planters and 2★ Diggers get to work in two separate corners of the Originverse.
They started moving right away.
The Planters dug holes and threw in mysterious seeds from mysterious pouches.
The Diggers, on the other hand, worked in an extremely orderly fashion, wielding black pickaxes and swinging them at lightning speed. They tore through layer after layer of earth like it was nothing.
It was then that Cassius realized there was now an underground to the habitable section of his Originverse. It extended several miles deep, consisting of a mixture of dirt, roots, and common minerals like Iron, Stone, and Gravel.
Touching the lush green grass surrounding his large house, Cassius tried digging into the ground himself. However, he instantly realized that only the Origin Units could affect the environment.
"How intriguing…"
He brooded for a moment, watching the Origin Diggers and Planters until they reached a point where the next units could be stationed.
The Origin Woodcutters were then directed to the freshly grown trees—tall and vibrant, in hues of yellow and brown.
When a certain number of trees reached full maturity, the Woodcutters conjured pitch-black axes and got to work.
They chopped with brutal efficiency—like jacked lumberjacks on steroids.
As five-to-ten-meter-tall trees fell one after another, the Woodcutters immediately went on to split them into dozens of circular chunks.
Those chunks were neatly stacked into tens of rows, forming massive piles of processed wood.
Cassius observed this process with contentment.
After a moment, he opened the Origin Map, clicked on the idle Origin Material Manufacturers, and had most of them move over to the forest.
There, they inspected the chopped wood trunks.
Identifying them as |Tier 2 Amber Wood|, they lifted them up and carefully placed them outside the wood stacks.
Then, they summoned black woodshavers and rapidly circled the isolated wood chunks. They carved them into designs specified by Cassius in the Origin Map's Task Manager Section.
The first Origin Material Manufacturer finished the wood-shaving task in record-breaking time.
A finished product was then put on display for Cassius to appraise:
