Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System-Chapter 409: The Arena of Yggdrasil
Tears began to well up in the corners of Aurora's milky way eyes. She was forced to remember all the tough times she'd had to endure since her birth, and that depressed the hell out of her.
Feeling a bit bad, Cassius approached her and extended a hand. In a warm, heartfelt tone, he said, "You just need some Character Development is all. I know a Trainer, if you're interested."
"Y-You'd really go that far for an old hag like me…?" Aurora's sorrowful tears gradually turned into tears of happiness.
Cassius cupped her cheeks, matching her watery stare with a resolute gaze that struck her heartstrings. "To me, you are dazzling. Like an unrefined gemstone. To be perfect, you only need a little chiseling."
"Oh, Martial Disciple…"
"Martial Master…"
"Are they reenacting a play right now?" Maxy questioned, swearing that she saw flowery effects materializing around the two. "And why does it feel like Master and that dumb bimbo are on two completely different wavelengths right now…?"
She, Exisia, Zara, and Yimin all knew that look he was making. It was the same one he made when whispering like a devil into their ears, speaking of the only true way to strength and the pinnacle of Character Development.
As it turned out, this 'Only True Way' was just harming oneself in every way possible…
Even Yimin, who would do anything her Master asked of her, bowed out of his Personal Training Session. The others quit even sooner, with none able to keep up with even a tenth of what that monstrous existence endured as a 'warm-up.'
[My baby boy… (╥﹏╥)] the System muttered to itself, sniffling. [They grow up so fast. So much Character Development has been instilled in him that my pride is overflowing]
[He's almost ready for what comes next… The Final Chapter of the First Book… A very necessary but also… very… Haiz…]
The System's tone saddened a bit, but it was speaking privately, so Cassius hadn't noticed.
"Anyway," said Cassius as he quit the act. "You spoke of my mother having another child. With whom did she have this child?"
The time difference made no sense, seeing as the kid would've had to have been born after him. This meant that his deadbeat dad definitely wasn't in the picture.
'Something like this could only mean…'
Someone somewhere felt his head become greener for some inexplicable reason.
"You ask who?" Aurora had a complete personality flip, rising from the ground as if she hadn't just almost had a mental breakdown. "Although I'm not a fan of the man, that silly disciple of mine has only ever had eyes for him. Never could I see her cheating on him."
"As for your quandaries," she continued, "your little sister is not normal. She was born under very peculiar circumstances, and while in her mother's womb, she stayed there for years. In actuality, she was conceived not long after you were, making her a few months younger than you, give or take."
"A little sister…?"
Cassius's brows furrowed as he imagined a small girl with his face running around while smiling jovially.
It was a scary thought…
"To think I actually have a blood-related sister," he shook his head to disperse those weird images. "I am, however, curious what makes her so special."
Aurora figured it would do no harm to tell him the truth, so that's what she did.
"An Immortal Physique??" Cassius found himself opening his mouth a bit in shock. "Something like that actually exists in the Ascension Tower?? And my younger sister has it???"
"No one can say for certain since it's never been seen before, but it's highly possible, yes," replied Aurora. "Even I myself find the notion to be an unreliable one, but anything is possible. However, before you worry, I'm the only other one except for your parents that knows about this."
Cassius took another good look at this stunning beauty, his perspective of her changing a bit.
'Even if she's utterly useless and unreliable, my parents still decided to trust her with such a matter of great importance.'
He was positive that even if his mom was naive enough to allow it on a whim, his fierce, iron-willed father would never in a million years do the same.
Even if they only met each other once, they were two peas in a pod, and Cassius had obtained a very good grasp on what type of person he was.
Yimin's shimmering gray tail was swinging around behind her as she stared curiously at the barrier Aurora had erected before revealing something so important.
"Whatcha dumb bitches think they're talking about?" Yimin asked innocently, oblivious to the veins that just bulged on the heads of all the other girls. "Yimin is hungry again… She hopes the Master finishes soon, so she can eat…"
All this girl thinks about is eating and her Master!
How could such a simple creature be holding back such an immense amount of draconic power!?
"Why don't we make a pact right now," Zara proposed to Exisia and Maxy. "If ever the dumb dragon gets ahead of us in the ultimate conquest, we team up and bury her in a ditch somewhere, never to be found again."
Exisia and Maxy narrowed their eyes, but agreed to her proposal in the end. After all, Yimin was not only the one who had been around Cassius the longest, she was also the most dangerous in the war called 'Love.'
"!!!"
Yimin suddenly went on alert.
'Is there an enemy!?' The others thought wearily.
However…
"Yimin has to take a piss…!"
"..." "..." "..."
Yimin raced away like some sort of cartoon character, quickly locating a bush in the fantastical isolated dimension to take a leak in. Her expression showed pure bliss as she let it all out, causing the three girls watching her idiocy to feel a whole lot stupider.
"To think we all unconsciously believed something like her to be the biggest threat…"
Disappointment in themselves welled up in the three of them as they returned their focus back to the ongoing discussion between Cassius and the Witch Bitch.
"So my mother and sister are being watched by the Yggdrasil Ancestors at all times," Cassius parroted what he heard. 'That means I can't see them right now. At least not until I activate my VOPC on one of the Ancestors and see how the fight would play out.'
In truth, after his successive training arcs, he had no clue how powerful he had become. None in real life could even remotely make him put in any effort, whereas those recorded within the VOPC were just small fries.
'I still have to return to the Land of Beginnings later, so maybe I'll come across some worthy opponents there.'
As his thoughts stirred, Aurora sensed a dangerously familiar presence approaching—one that spelled nothing but trouble for them.
"Child—"
Turning to look at Cassius, Aurora was surprised to find him staring in the same direction she sensed that approaching presence. It even seemed like he noticed it before her, and that was with the addition of her deep connection to Yggdrasil.
'Just how powerful is my daughter's disciple…? In such a short period of time, he has…'
"It's about time we take our leave," Cassius stated as he forcefully shattered the privacy barrier. "You'll be at the Tournament in Holy Mother City, right?"
"Huh? Oh, yes!" Aurora, who was still taken aback, held her large bosom in an attempt to adjust.
"Then I'll see you there," said Cassius as he and his party started to rapidly disintegrate into thin air. "Goodbye for now, Martial Master."
"Mhmm…"
For some reason, Aurora was disappointed that he was leaving so soon.
It was fun talking to him…
But with a more pressing matter at hand, her expression hardened as she shifted her attention to the east. There, an immensely powerful figure was rocketing through the skies, leaving a trail of green fire in her wake.
"Ayra," Aurora muttered as the flying figure crossed a distance of billions of miles in an instant, arriving directly outside the hidden dimension. "That girl is sure to stir up some trouble. I should try to find a way to convince her to find a different path."
While Aurora and Queen Ayra conversed within the hidden dimension, Cassius arrived at one of the many holding areas for the Arena of Yggdrasil. The moment he reached this place inside Holy Mother City, a plethora of familiar presences popped up on his radar.
"Everyone is here, it seems…" he murmured. "Even those troublesome girls have stopped by."
Right now, Azara Aluria, eldest sister of the Alurias, was excitedly scanning her surroundings. Almost everyone was extremely powerful, filling her with the nagging urge to fight them all.
Then there was Flora, also of the Aluria Royal Family. Currently, she was lost in thought while sitting next to her mother and youngest sister Chella in one of the Reserved Booths for Godlike Rank and above entities of high bloodline lineage.
Although the Succubus Royal Family of the Pleasure Ascension Tower was lower on the list of strong Godlike Lineages, they were still permitted a private booth. This was even in spite of the fact that they were not the purest breed of their kind like the ones currently huddled around the three terrifying Great Demon Kings of HELL in the true VIP stands.
"Mother, when do you think he'll arrive??" Flora asked with a pout, still a little peeved over Cassius basically ghosting her. "He promised 2nd sister that he'd come, didn't he?"
Amaris Aluria glanced over at her distraught daughter, sighing over her infatuation with that man.
