In the end, Rain had a better idea than using his mana on the relics… the idea was so good that also solved three issues at the same time. The solution was to equip the mediation mastery rings on his relics… while they didn't have fingers, attaching the rings on them made them enter the state of meditation… the mana would be used to restore their memories and and purify them as well.

Moreover, when Rain equipped five rings on them, they completely shut up… just like him, their minds went overload thanks to the forced meditation multiplied by five.

Unfortunately, Rain only had five of those rings, so it was one for each relic, but for now, he decided to equip three of them on the hammer and see if Maxime would prove himself to be useful.

"Well, it was about damn time…" Rain thought and then snorted. "My magic power will increase a fair bit thanks to this path and it's skills, but I guess I should still focus on using the Polymath path skills. They will do better for now for my mana pool."

In any case, around that time, the group finished resting, and it was time to move on. It seemed that they would have to keep going further East for a while since Maxime still hadn't told Rain anything useful… he was still silent and focused on his task, after all. With some luck, that will be the right direction.

"You did a lot of things with the relics while we were resting. Are they going to help us find the sixth relic?" Esmeralda asked.

"It might be, I can't say for sure," Rain said. "Their memories are sealed alongside most of their power, so we have to keep that in mind."

Throughout the entire period of rest, Rain was thankful for the fact that the group respected his need for focus as he delved into his work with the relics. They refrained from bothering him during this time, allowing him to concentrate on unlocking the potential of the artifacts and speed things up with their memories.

However, despite the group's considerate behavior, Rain couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt as he realized he had unintentionally neglected his children during this period. Deep in his work and absorbed by the intricacies of the magical arts, he had momentarily forgotten their presence.

While grateful for the group's understanding, he didn't want his children to adopt a similar workaholic mindset by observing his singular focus, adopt a worse mindset since they were already like that…

As the group prepared to resume their journey, Rain made a mental note to balance his dedication to the mission with the need to be present for his children. The delicate equilibrium between fulfilling his responsibilities and nurturing a healthy relationship with his family weighed on his mind, after all.

The next places to visit was a city in Pakisan and then Indonesia, then China and Japan. It goes without saying, but Rain had no idea how to find those places… he wasn't particularly familiar with the geography of those places, so he could only hope that he would find traces of mana to help.

Once again, the next two locations that the group visited didn't have anything, and Rain flew sound in circles for around while expanding the search range for several hours, so he was certain that they didn't miss anything.

"... I recovered some memories," Maxime said. "I understand now why some relics have different materials while others have the dark metal."

"We don't need a pause for dramatic effect," Rain said.

"The dark metal apparently decomposes fast when they don't have access to mana and aren't connected to the spirits of the bodies of those they enforce," Maxime explained. "When we find them, we had to immediately transplant our spirits to the forged weapons, there are some exceptions, but it is basically that."

"So… lack of materials, huh?" Rain asked. "Anything else?"

"I am not entirely sure, but I think that I worked alongside a lot of survivors who were fighting the first dragons and helped them forge their items, I remember forging that spear, shield, and armor," Maxime said. "I also remember telling someone that splitting the effects of their abilities on three relics was the best option for them."

"That should have been Nigel…" Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"I remember planning how to make a scepter as well, and other three relics," Maxime added. "Boots, Javelin, and a crossbow… I think I am about to recover the memories of where I made them… I only remember working on them nonstop in a dark place…"
