Chapter 1483: No shit, Sherlock

While Rain’s friends had finished killing the twentieth glastly beast, Rain himself was also in a bind... after using the digital clone, Rais decided to use something else to rest Rain’s limits. As the machine god of information, he was prepared with several ways to deal with him.

As the monstrous entity took on the form of Rain once more, a chill ran down his spine at the sight of his twisted doppelgänger. But this time, there was something different about it. The creature seemed to have gained new abilities, each more ominous than the last.

The first of these abilities was the same defensive mechanism. Whenever Rain launched an attack against it, the creature would reflect a portion of the damage back upon him. It was as if his own strength had been turned against them, causing harm with every blow he struck.

But that was not all. The creature’s hands now glowed with an eerie light, each color signifying a different type of devastating attack. When one hand glowed with a sickly green hue, its strikes would inflict damage upon Rain’s body and stamina, sapping his strength with every blow. Conversely, when the other hand glowed with a chilling blue light, its attacks would target Rain’s mana, draining him of his magical reserves and weakening his very essence.

It was a terrifying display of power, one that left Rain and his allies reeling as they struggled to find a way to counter the creature’s onslaught. With each strike, they could feel their strength waning, their resources dwindling in the face of this relentless assault. He also was unable to make the enemy glitch since he couldn’t use Information Absorbtion.

"Crafty, son of a bitch..." Rain said and then clicked his tongue.

It was a very effective tactic... when Rain tried to counterattack, the enemy would damage his mana, and therefore, it stopped him from trying to use Information Absorption from the enemy.

The enemy charged again and then suddenly sped up with a flying kick. When I raised my left elbow to block the attack, the feet of the monster turned green, and upon impact, I felt my stamina dropping considerably...

After grunting in annoyance, I grabbed the enemy’s legs, and before the creature could react, I smashed its body from one side to the other. At the same time, the enemy’s reflection skill began to affect my body. Impacts landed on my chest, back, arms, and legs. Each one left a purple mark, but I ignored it all...

When I tried to absorb the data from the monster’s body, the whole body emitted that blue glow, but that was fine by me... I kept attacking the monster and smashing it on the ground until its particles began to fall apart...

The skill Limit Breaker received 200.000 experience points.

The skill Apex Fury received 200.000 experience points.

The skill Full Heal received 200.000 experience points.

...

I used Full Heal during the whole thing to counter the damage, but I still looked like a bloody mess in front of the enemy... at least I gained experience, and all those skills got much stronger.

"It is only a small percentage, but your abilities are getting stronger. We studied the system from your planet, but we still can’t understand it completely or how your body can withstand that much unnatural increase in power. It would be interesting to test how much a body like yours can withstand those transformations, but it seems too risky." freēnovelkiss.com

"No shit, Sherlock," Rain said. "What is next?"

Rain could tell that no one had sent to the pocket dimension yet, so he could tell that his friends were fighting well... he would only have to worry once the pocket dimension started to get full. However, he had some plans of his own for that situation... in fact, it was the first time in his life that he had so many plans for each drastic situation.

"You must be planning to overcome my challenges with your basic skills since you aren’t even using the Matter aspect. Even if you didn’t obtain the same amount of knowledge as the dragon, you should have obtained some of it and kept it hidden to surprise me. I must tell you that it will never work."

"Oh, no... your words completely broke my spirit and convinced me that I would lose," Rain said and put his hands on his face. "What do I do with this much terror?"

The enemy’ didn’t respond to Rain’s sarcasm with words. Instead, it made several digitalized copies appear around him... it looked like he was finally running out of patience since the difficulty suddenly increased by fifteen.

Rain just shrugged when he saw that; he didn’t seem very worried, and that nonchalant attitude didn’t seem like an act either. In the end, he kept his behavior even though the enemies suddenly charged at him... but in the last moment, he suddenly created exits from his pocket dimension. In the blink of an eye, the lords who were now Rain’s underlings appeared and stopped the charge of the monsters.

The lords began to be pushed down by the copies, but at least they grabbed the hands of the enemies and prevented them from escaping... at the same time, Loar flew around in circles using Light Speed and then used Light Touch to disturb their entire bodies... that skill could disrupt active spells, after all.

The copies began to shake and glitch as if they were about to crack, so Rain used that chance to create a single portal and connect his hand to the back of their bodies... his hands multiplied to fifteen, and soon he pierced their backs and began to extract the information from their bodies.

The information path was updated.
