Chapter 1491: Impossible and possible

"What the fuck..." Rain said.

Rain tried to pull out the metals from his body, but it felt like it was tied up like super glue... it didn’t move an inch without Rain’s skin being pulled alongside it... it seemed that the metal was being attracted by mana. That was as neat as it was an annoying trick...

Rain had to stop attacking. Otherwise, he would eventually be overwhelmed by the metals. However, the robots began to collide with each other and then explode... and the parts still flew toward Rain.

When Rain began to feel his body getting heavier, Rais suddenly made a large heavy mass projectile suddenly appear in front of him and hit him, but it only pushed Rain away for a couple of meters, he stopped with his hand and then in the next moment, the dark metal on his body began to freeze and be covered by a dark ice layer. Before long, Rain pulled it out and then stored away in his pocket dimension.

Level 20: Gravity Defiance - Defy the pull of gravity with mastery over your body’s gravitational interaction, allowing you to move effortlessly in any environment. Increase resistance to gravitational forces by one thousand points per level, and decrease its effects by the same amount.

That skill came at the right time... perhaps a few seconds too late since Rain was able to get rid of the monsters... using ice and the power of Wrath, he froze anything that got too close to him, and then he sent it to his pocket dimension.

"How about you take this a bit more seriously?" Rain asked.

Before Rais could say anything, Rain used Portal Conjuration once again, and then he pierced the backs of the monsters that were trying to decrease the level of Limit Breaker... a single attack was multiplied by fifty, and then they began to fall apart.

The Information path leveled up.

The Void path leveled up.

The Matter path leveled up.

...

The plan to weaken Rain failed miserably... he actually got a bit stronger since he had the chance to extract more data. At that point in time, it became obvious that using numbers was a waste of time, so Rais decided to use his final card.

Rais’s body began to shrink and contort. Quite fast, it began to assume a humanoid form. Rain thought that he would see a disco ball in the same way as a human, but he didn’t find that.

As Rain’s gaze fell upon the final form of Rais, he was met with a sight unlike anything he had ever seen before. Instead of a traditional physical form, Rais appeared as a towering entity comprised entirely of data, an immense, swirling mass of zeroes and ones that danced and shifted in an intricate pattern, forming the outline of a colossal humanoid figure.

Each individual digit pulsed with an ethereal glow, casting a ghostly light that illuminated the chamber with radiance. It was a mesmerizing sight, the sheer scale and complexity of the data construct leaving Rain awestruck and unnerved in equal measure.

With every movement, the data giant shifted and rearranged itself, its form constantly in flux as it sought to maintain its shape amidst the swirling sea of binary code. It was a testament to the unfathomable power and sophistication of Rais’s true form—a being of pure data, untethered by the constraints of physical reality.

"I guess this is it... the final battle against this fucker," Rain thought.

Level 25: Darkness Nullification - Manipulate the forces of darkness to your advantage, become attuned to its energy, gaining resistance to it. Passively decreases the damage caused by all dark-related attacks by one thousand points per level.

"It would be better if you were a bit more competent overseer... besides, this guy doesn’t use dark magic," Rain thought.

Unless void was part of dark magic, but it was hard to say... it seemed compatible. In that case, light magic and the aspect of information would also affect each other. While Rain was thinking about that, Rais slowly raised his fist, and then Rain was punched in the face...

The attack had been so powerful that Rain blanked for a moment. He began to spin in the air violently, and then he was hit from all directions by an unseen hand and with the same level of power... Rain’s brain began to shake, and his bones began to crack...

"He is using... Origin Punch," Rain thought. ƒreewebɳovel.com

The attacks began to get faster, so Rais was getting used to them... and soon he improved them the way that Rain had planned as well.

The skill Limit Breaker lost a level.

The skill Limit Breaker lost a level.

The skill Limit Breaker lost a level.

...

After clicking his tongue, all of a sudden, Rain counter-attacked. Rais was waiting for that, and he could read Rain’s intentions like it was an open book, so he quickly summoned the dark liquid to block the attack aimed at his face... Rain used Origin Punch, too, but the dark liquid shield was shattered, much to Rais’ surprise, and then his face was hit... making him lose a bit of his data.

That shocked Rais and he wondered what had happened... he stopped attacking thanks to the fact that his predictions failed, and then Rain bombarded him with countless Origin Punches.

"This shouldn’t be possible..." Rais thought.

Even though Rais could obtain all the data around, it took him a bit of time for him to understand how Rain pulled it off. As it turned out, since he had no information about Darkness Resistance, he would need some time to fully grasp what it could do. That skill could also negate the effects to some extent of the dark liquid shield. However, what truly made the whole thing possible was the fact that Rain was using Light Touch. The effects of the attack and defense nullified each other, making the dark liquid become an ordinary shield...
