Chapter 1505: Fire creature

"The skills aren’t related to stealing energy..." Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I guess they improved the first ones, like Energy Conversion and Energy Absorption.

Rain checked the area ahead... the giant red dwarf was a bit further in the enemy territory, but Rain could see its appearance clearly after focusing for a while. He could see semi-transparent energy webs that were covering the whole thing... that was simply insane. It was impossible to measure how much energy Arel had access to. Still, she was the target that he had to defeat no matter what...

Lonos and Fortus were still keeping their distance in order to face the dragon god. It was a bit annoying that everyone was treating Rain like the underdog, but he didn’t mind that.

In the end, Rain began to approach the red and giant star while absorbing as much energy as possible from the surroundings and healing himself. He also used the extra mana to unlock some extra skills on the spirit aspect.

Lvl 45: Spirit Healing - Facilitates spiritual healing for oneself and others, clearing energetic blockages, releasing attachments, and restoring balance to the subtle body. Grants you extra resistance to mental attacks and spiritual damage.

Lvl 50: Elemental Harmony - Harmonizes with the elemental forces of nature, fostering balance and cooperation between the elements for the greater good. Increases the damage of elemental skills by ten percent per level.

Lvl 55: Astral Travel - Travels through the astral plane, exploring distant realms, and gathering insights from spiritual consciousness. You can talk again with spirits of those that you have defeated. Higher levels makes the skill more cost efficient. Cost: 20.000 mana per second.

Those skills were quite interesting... Rain had some ideas on how he could use them, but he believed that Spirit Healing was the best skill in that aspect so far.

Although Rain wanted to buy some extra time by moving slowly, he couldn’t do that any longer. He couldn’t keep delaying the unavoidable and ended up forcing Arel to do something troublesome.

As Rain approached to the blazing red star, he felt the searing heat intensify with each passing moment, engulfing him in a suffocating embrace. The temperature soared to unimaginable heights, threatening to overwhelm even the toughest of souls. Yet, despite the heat bearing down upon him, Rain stood focused, his unwavering resolve fortified by his innate abilities and recent advancements in his skills.

Thanks to his exceptional capacity to absorb energy, coupled with his fire nullification skill, Rain found himself uniquely equipped to withstand the blistering inferno that surrounded him. With each scorching wave of heat that washed over him, he drew upon his inner reserves, channeling the relentless onslaught of thermal energy into a source of strength.

Moreover, the recently obtained Spirit Healing provided an additional layer of protection, bolstering his endurance and fortitude in the face of pain. As he pressed onward through the searing heat and flame, Rain remained steadfast in his determination to confront Arel and put an end to her machinations once and for all.

"I wanted to test this one for the longest time, I hope that you can make this interesting."

"You certainly have some bad taste," Rain said.

The creature had a towering form wreathed in flames that danced and flickered with intensity. Towering horned horns adorned its massive head, casting menacing shadows against the backdrop of swirling fire.

As Rain watched the creature’s imposing silhouette, he felt a shiver run down his spine, an instinctual recognition of the immense power and ferocity that lay dormant within its fiery form. Its muscular physique was hewn from the very essence of flame, each sinew and muscle ablaze with an incandescent glow that pulsed with raw elemental energy.

The creature’s eyes burned with a fierce intensity, twin orbs of crimson fire that glowed with an inner inferno, betraying a primal intelligence that showed its bestial appearance. Its massive horns curved upwards, casting long shadows across its fiery visage, while its jagged teeth gleamed like molten steel in the searing heat.

So close to the red star, such a creature would truly be insanely strong, but Aaron didn’t care about that. He just summoned his giant dark ice arms and readied himself for battle.

Arel suddenly charged at Rain and then punched him... but he blocked the attack with his left arm with relative ease since Arel didn’t move that fast.

Both of them tried to push each other away, but it seemed that their strength was basically the same... Rain furrowed his eyebrows while seeing that since it was clearly off that, something was weird.

In the end, Rain kicked the side of the creature with his left leg and pushed it away... while his leg got third-degree burn marks, he quickly healed them since he absorbed some energy from the attack.

"What about level two?"

Rain furrowed his eyebrows, but then he quickly realized what Arel was talking about... some reason, the creature’s body began to grow a bit every moment after the attack. It was clear that it was absorbing the energy from the surroundings, but why didn’t it do that before?

The enemy charged again, and when their fists collided against each other, Rain felt his whole body trembling, and then he was pushed backward...

"I hate this kind of enemy..." Rain thought.

As Rain analyzed the form of Arel’s chosen vessel, he couldn’t shake the nagging suspicion that there was more to it than met the eye. With his intuition honed by years of battle, he sensed that this creature was no mere elemental manifestation but rather a living entity bound by its own set of rules and limitations.

It dawned on Rain that the creature’s fiery form likely possessed the ability to absorb heat in order to fuel its own power, a trait common among beings of its kind. However, he understood that such abilities were not without their constraints—mere whims of elemental nature dictated by the laws of the universe.
