Chapter 1521: Reunion

Rain had taken precautions to safeguard the information about his friends and family who were still training. Aware of the risks involved in the mission, he had encrypted and sealed this information within the depths of his consciousness, ensuring that it would remain hidden even if he were to fall into enemy hands.

But even as he maintained this mental barrier, Rain’s focus remained divided. The pocket dimension he had created to shield them from Arel’s attacks required a constant stream of mana to sustain, as did the Time Dilation effect he had employed to manipulate the flow of time around them as well..

It was a delicate balance, one that required him to carefully allocate his limited reserves of mana. As a result, Rain found himself with far less mana to spare than usual, leaving him vulnerable during the fight.

Yet despite the strain, Rain knew that maintaining these defenses was crucial to their survival. Even as he unleashed his Origin Punch upon Arel’s core, a part of his consciousness remained vigilant, ensuring that his defenses held firm against any potential threats.

"She failed, huh? That doesn’t surprise me... she had experienced so little drawbacks that she didn’t have any experience in dealing with someone like you."

Rain turned around and then saw Lonos for the first time... he looked like a being made of mercury. It was really weird... he also didn’t look much bigger than a human, so it was hard to understand why he chose that kind of body.

"Can’t you bring her back?" Rain asked while showing the fragments of Arel’s core in his hands.

"I can, but we will deal with you first. Fortus, no more games. Come here immediately." frёeωebɳovel.com

As the final battle approached, the urgency of the situation compelled Fortus to heed Lonos’ command without hesitation. Despite his large stature and unusual form resembling a massive, multi-sided dice, Fortus exuded an unmistakable air of authority and power.

His towering presence, devoid of any discernible organic matter, suggested a being of pure matter and consciousness, transcending conventional physical forms. Standing at a colossal height of one hundred meters, Fortus projected an aura of ancient wisdom and immense strength.

With his arrival, the tension in the air grew palpable. It was clear that Fortus was not to be trifled with, his very presence marking the gravity of the impending confrontation. As Rain stood before him, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease, knowing that the battle ahead would be unlike anything he had ever faced before.

"I guess... I can no longer keep them out of the loop," Rain said. "Well, I should have know that this would happen eventually."

Facing two of the most powerful machine gods simultaneously, Rain couldn’t help but acknowledge the daunting odds stacked against him. With Fortus and Lonos standing before him, both exuding immense power and authority, Rain understood that the battle ahead would be nothing short of insane.

Moreover, the looming presence of the dragon god, waiting to intervene, added another layer of danger to an already precarious situation. The thought of taking on all three of these enemies at once seemed like an insurmountable challenge, even for someone as skilled and resourceful as Rain.

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Rain knew that he couldn’t afford to face this threat alone. Despite the risks involved, he realized that he had no choice but to call upon his friends for aid. The prospect of rallying his allies to join him in battle was troublesome, but it was also their best chance at standing against the combined might of the machine gods.

In the next moment, Rain created openings from his pocket dimension and then a lot of people began to leave the place... Rain’s allies began to position themselves around Rain and some in front of them, but a lot of them ignored the enemies and then went straight to punch him with all their might.

That hurt quite a bit... being punched by Terra, Seara, his sisters... even his parents joined it. It goes without saying that people like his friends Jori, Reca, Asche, Liss, Esmeralda, and Branden tried even harder and even used their own versions of Origin Punch.

"And thus I was betrayed by the very people I wanted to protect... The End," Rain said.

"You sure have some nerve to say that when you kept us locked in that place," Terra said while a vein was bulging in her forehead. "Look, I even have some strains of white hair thanks to you."

Rain had no idea how much time had passed in his pocket dimension; he just tried to use half of the mana available all the time to keep Time Dilation active.

As Rain checked his comrades, a noticeable change caught his eye. Despite the passage of time, they all appeared slightly older, their features bearing the marks of experience and growth. Yet, alongside the signs of aging, there was a distinct air of vitality and strength about them.

It was evident that time had not passed idly for his friends. While they may have aged a bit, they also seemed healthier and more robust than before. Their bodies bore the subtle signs of physical training and conditioning, hinting at the trials and challenges they had faced in Rain’s absence.

As Rain took in their appearances, a sense of pride and gratitude welled up within him. He realized that, in his own way, he had bought them precious time to grow and prepare for the battles ahead. However, a nagging doubt lingered in the back of his mind.

Despite his hopes that their time apart had afforded them a few months of respite, Rain couldn’t shake the feeling that things might not have unfolded exactly as he had expected. He might have given them a lot more time...

"As much as it is hard to believe, we spent ten years locked down... even though we didn’t do a single crime," Seara said.
