Infinite System Inheritor Return From The Abyss-Chapter 426 - 424: Can’t stop what’s coming
Chapter 426: Chapter 424: Can’t stop what’s coming
The young man looked confused. "What? Did I say something wrong?"
Another elder nodded slowly. "The report said he appeared suddenly. No background, no history in the Awakener database. Then, just like that he became a professor."
One of the others slowly turned to a woman sitting on the right side of the circle. She wore a black robe with red patterns,
"Yura," the man said, breaking the silence, "do you have anything more about that Beast Doctor professor? anything?"
The woman shook her head slightly, her lips pressed into a thin line. "Nothing. I’ve searched every channel available to me. It’s as if he appeared from nowhere. No connections, no trace. Not even from the association’s internal data. It’s like his file was removed or never existed in the first place."
The others frowned, clearly frustrated.
A man sitting near the edge leaned forward, his brows furrowed. "What about Sera? Don’t tell me she failed as well. Didn’t she go undercover to observe the professor? Was she not able to send any useful information?"
At that, Yura’s face turned more serious, and she slowly stood up. "Actually," she said, "I did receive something. But it took days to extract it."
She pulled out a small, dark device from her robe and placed it in her hand. "It’s a voice recording," she continued. "The original file was damaged... probably because Sera tried to send it while escaping. The voice is unclear at the start, but I’ll try to play it."
She pressed a few buttons on the device. A faint crackling noise came out first—static, broken tones, and muffled breathing. Everyone leaned closer.
Then they heard a faint voice. It was hard to make out at first.
"...eyes... watch... be careful... blue..."
"What?" someone asked. "Is that it?"
Yura didn’t respond. Instead, she adjusted something on the side of the device. A faint pulse of light glowed from the surface, and then the voice suddenly became clearer—sharp, frightened, and whispering.
"...be careful with the ones who have blue eyes... they are not what they seem..."
The room went silent again. Yura stood still, her face unreadable as she looked at each of them. "That was Sera’s last message," she said,
Another man clenched his jaw. "Blue eyes... That could be a code. Or it could be literal."
"And if it’s literal," said another, his voice heavy, "then someone in the Academy isn’t just a student."
From the deepest part of the room, where no light touched, soft footsteps echoed on the cold ground. The air suddenly turned heavy again as a figure stepped forward, slowly entering the dim glow of the center.
It was a woman dressed in black, her face partly covered by a hood, but what made everyone tense was not just her presence—it was the huge beast silently walking beside her. It’s a bird type beast and its glowing red eyes pierced through the shadows like they could see through souls.
She calmly reached out and ran her fingers over its rough feathers, as if petting a tame dog, not a monstrous creature. No one dared to move.
"You’re back," someone finally said, their voice uncertain and careful.
"Returning early," said another voice, "that only means you found something."
The woman didn’t answer immediately. Instead, she took something from inside her coat and threw it onto the floor. Several printed photographs slid across the stone ground, stopping near the center where the others sat.
"This, Who are they?" They asked.
One man bent down and picked up the photos, his brows furrowing as he looked at them closely. They showed an older woman with light brown hair, wearing simple clothes, carrying a small child in her arms—about five years old. The setting was a supermarket, normal and peaceful, the photo a bit worn as if it had been passed around or secretly taken years ago.
"That’s the white-haired S-rank’s family," The woman with beast said.
Another one leaned closer, eyes narrowing. "That’s his mother... and that’s his sister, right?"
The woman nodded once, her hand never leaving the beast’s head.
For a moment, no one spoke. Then, a man with a thin smile chuckled darkly. "So that’s the weakness. Finally, something we can use."
There was a pause before a woman spoke, her tone sharp and focused. "Then... we force him to appear. We make a situation where he has no choice but to come out."
Just as the quiet started to settle again, the woman with the large beast beside her spoke,
"...Also," she said, drawing all attention back to her, "I’ve found the tomb."
The air in the room seemed to freeze.
The older man sitting near the center slowly clasped his hands together, his eyes filled with a strange joy—as if the gods themselves had sent him good fortune. A twisted smile formed on his lips.
"The tomb..." he repeated, his voice filled with quiet awe. "It finally appeared?" He leaned forward, still clasping his hands like he was praying. "Then the plan can move faster. That... thing... was supposed to awaken in five years, but now... we can wake it up early."
A murmur of agreement echoed among the others.
Someone else spoke, a younger man near the edge of the circle, his tone filled with concern and calculation. "If the tomb appeared, then... that means the royalty too, right?"
The woman gave a small nod, brushing back her hood slightly as she answered. "Yes. I found traces in the air But I couldn’t their exact location." fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
Another man narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms. "Then we need to move fast... before the Awakeners Association notices anything."
"They won’t stay blind for long," the older man added, now standing. "If they find that tomb first, they’ll seal it. That’s their first instinct. But if we reach it before them—"
"—then it becomes ours," the woman finished calmly.
"And if we succeed," another voice said with growing confidence, "not even the White Moon Academy... or the top rankers... can stop what’s coming."
