Interspecies Trader-Chapter 158 – Central Building
“Does that mean… what I think it means?”
“P-Probably?”
That was unexpected. She was bolder than I thought. However, there was no reason to refuse such an interesting gift.
“Well, if you ask me, then I’m very curious about it indeed.”
She suddenly relaxed and gave me a shy grin while blushing.
“I’m glad, my Lord. I wasn’t sure how you would react. I was afraid you’d be angry or disgusted.”
“That’ll never happen.”
Her smile grew further.
“Thank you for saying this.”

“I should be the one to thank you. Is there any reason for your proposal, though?”
“This is something important for us. I wanted you to know more about our way of life.”
It was hard to say whether this was her true reason, but I decided not to press on the matter.
“I see. But yes, I now understand why you said I shouldn’t underestimate bunnies. I didn’t expect that at all, haha.”
She blushed even harder, the redness contrasting with her white fur but fitting well with one of her eyes.
“T-That’s right. That’s how we bunnies are.”
There was a moment of quietness which she used to get her bearings back.
“Please come with me.”
“You’re not doing it here? Do you want to do it outside? You’re very bold, Kuini.”
She flinched shamefully.
“That’s not it! We’re going to the relief building!”
“Oh… My bad.”
We exited her room and the house, witnessing the many bunnies running around excitedly. Kuini’s parents were part of the flow of people, moving in the direction opposite ours, toward the house. Zay looked at us curiously but Waja smiled at her daughter knowingly, and I understood that her boldness wasn’t completely her idea.
The relief building, as I learned, was the large building in the center of the village I noticed from the first time I experienced relief time. Its name was very explicit and I had a global idea of its purpose, even though I didn’t know the exact details. Kuini guided me there, under the surprised looks of the other bunnies entering it. While some avoided Kuini carefully, their reaction to me was unanimously intrigued, some being even a bit excited.
There was a mix of both men and women entering, but the ratio wasn’t equal due to the village having more women than men in the first place. I scanned the interior of the single-floor building as we crossed the door, interested in its layout.
The inside comprised many small rooms, generally aligned in rows of two, with only a wall separating a room from its neighbor on both sides. Women all headed toward one side while men aimed for the other, entering facing rooms from opposite sides.
“So that’s how it looks like inside. Am I allowed here?”
“Of course. Everyone is allowed, even people from outside of the village.”
“How does it work?”
“The relief building is a place for bunnies that don’t have fixed partners to share relief time with. People can come here to find a temporary partner, but it doesn’t mean one has to come here if they don’t have a partner.”
“How interesting. I guess it makes sense considering your needs.”
“Yes. There are different types of rooms. Some of the most popular for young people are the anonymous ones. In those, you don’t see who your partner is, which is good for shy people.”
“But your village isn’t that big. Isn’t it easy to recognize who your partner probably is?”
“That’s right. That’s why I don’t come here because a lot of the villagers aren’t… comfortable with me. For most people, even if you know who your partner was, you don’t tell it out loud and act as normal to make it less awkward.”
“That’s a great system.”
“Yes… And so…”
She hesitated a little before continuing.
“I want to try one of the anonymous rooms today. Is that fine with you?”
“Don’t I know it’ll be you already? Is there a point to it?”
“Yes, but I still want to use one because I’m… not very confident. I’m sorry, my Lord.”
She whispered that last part as if she didn’t want others to know how she called me.
“No worries. Let’s try it the way you’re more comfortable with.”
She gave another slight smile and nodded.
“Thank you. Then, please enter the last room in this row, on that side. I’ll enter from the other side.”
She pointed at the door I was supposed to enter and I quickly acquiesced.
“All right.”
We separated and I moved toward that specific room. In the building, most bunnies inside their rooms had already started doing whatever they had planned, and erotic voices were resounding all around. I knew this wouldn’t last too long so I hurriedly entered mine.
The inside was very simple. Its size was about ten square meters and was only composed of a bed, a table, and a chair. All in all, it could have been anyone’s room, except for one singular aspect. The wall that separated my room from the one Kuini entered wasn’t a typical one. It had a circular hole conveniently placed around the level of my waist, and another rectangular one under it, on the ground level. Kuini’s quiet voice resounded from the other side of the wall.
“C-Can you see the round hole, my Lord?”
“Yes.”
“This room is for larger species. The hole is lower in other rooms.”
“Whoever built this building thought of everything, how impressive.”
“Yes. So…”
She took another long pause before resuming speaking.
“I’ll start now. Please… don’t stare too much.”
This made me laugh.
“Haha, Kuini, my cute bunny. Of course, I’ll watch. I’ll watch you very intensely.”
“…Y-Yes. Please do as you like, my Lord.”
Her voice sounded half vexed and half exhilarated, and I thought my answer wasn’t completely wrong. I understood the purpose of this room but that wasn’t to say I couldn’t circumvent the issue. I crouched at the level of the circular hole and placed my eye right in front of it. What was supposed to be space to insert a male’s tool now became my peeping hole, perfect to give me a nice view of everything that was happening on Kuini’s side.
She noticed me and trembled anxiously. Still, she sat on the bed and slowly began her relief time.
