26 -26: Night Raid

“You scream, and I’ll strip you bare, believe it or not?” Yusuf Zuck turned into an evil clawed demon, viciously groping Ember Vance a couple of times.

But it was just a couple of gropes, and then his hand swiftly retreated!

“I…

I’ll kill you, I swear I will!” Ember Vance was nearly insane, her whole body shaking.

At that moment, her mind was blank with nothing but a burning intent to kill Yusuf Zuck.

“You?” Yusuf Zuck scoffed, “With a fake gun, and amateur skills?

Who are you trying to scare?”

“Listen up, don’t fucking bother me again, or I’ll grope you every time I see you, and after three times, I’ll just pin you down!” Yusuf Zuck seemed ferocious at that moment, his entire demeanor terrifyingly savage, and Ember Vance started shivering; she was afraid.

This out-of-towner security guard had a criminal record and was not a good sort.

“Whew~” After threatening Ember Vance, Yusuf Zuck quickly stepped back twice, standing at the door of the private room!

Once Ember Vance realized she was released, she immediately reached inside her clothes and adjusted her bra, grinding her teeth and saying, “My gun, was it you who stole it?”

“Your gun?

I’ve got a gun here, do you want it?” Yusuf Zuck provocatively arched his back.

“You…

shameless!” Ember Vance was choked up with frustration.

“Heh heh, thanks for the compliment,” Yusuf Zuck chuckled.

“If you took it, please return it to me.

I admit, I was a bit too much with you yesterday, but you’ve already taken advantage of me just now, so we’re even now.

Please return my gun!” Ember Vance’s voice softened a bit, of course, even though her words were gentler, her heart continued to seethe with rage.

“You lost your gun?

Really?

Is that for real?” Yusuf Zuck acted utterly surprised.

“Hmm?” Seeing Yusuf’s expression, Ember Vance’s brows furrowed.

Zuck didn’t seem to be faking.

Could it not have been him?

She had already suspected two others in the afternoon, but upon confirmation, it wasn’t them, and only then did she come to find Yusuf Zuck.

His likelihood of guilt wasn’t high since they had only just interacted yesterday, and Yusuf Zuck didn’t have the opportunity to steal her gun, but she would rather err on the side of caution than let a suspect slip by, hence why she confronted him.

“If not you…

if not you, then who could it be?” Ember Vance suddenly lost all her fight and her mood dissipated, her previous animosity vanishing in an instant, and she slumped to the floor, her eyes vacant.

She really didn’t know what to do.

With the gun lost, even if her family had connections, she would definitely lose her job, and if it got out, it could implicate her family.

That would truly be a disaster.

As she thought more and more about it, tears suddenly welled up in her eyes, and she began to cry silently, holding her head in her hands.

The gun was gone, and she was molested by that damned security guard.

She felt so unlucky and wronged.

He had touched her, and she couldn’t even make it public or report to the police.

This was truly driving her into a corner.

Her shoulders shook uncontrollably, but she dared not cry out loud, and she didn’t know what to do next.

And seeing Ember Vance crying, Yusuf Zuck got a bit annoyed; he couldn’t stand women crying in front of him, as if he had bullied them tremendously.

But on second thought, it seemed that he had indeed bullied her – stealing her gun and touching her breast; no normal girl could tolerate such a prank.

“You lost your gun, huh?

Do you need my help to find it?” Yusuf Zuck took out a cigarette, lit it, then squatted across from Ember Vance.

“Get lost, stay away from me!” Ember Vance snapped angrily.

“Alright, alright, I’ll keep my distance!” Yusuf Zuck retreated back to the door, then laughed and said, “If you were a bit more gentle, less hot-tempered, you would surely be very charming.

But your awful temper is your downfall.

If you were a man, I would have crippled you today, believe it or not?”

“Mind your own business!” Ember Vance wiped away her tears and suddenly stood up, striding out.

“Wait a minute, don’t rush off.

Your gun, I actually do know where it is!” Yusuf Zuck smirked wickedly.

“What?

You know?

Was it you?” Ember Vance’s eyes widened with rage, and she shouted, “Return my gun immediately, or I’ll have the department come and arrest you!”

“Then let them come and arrest me.

Without direct evidence, I’ll be detained for a maximum of forty-eight hours, but you can kiss your gun goodbye forever!” Yusuf Zuck said nonchalantly.

“You…

you…

it was you…

it really was you…

you…

what do you want?” Ember Vance was no fool; reading between the lines, even though Yusuf Zuck hadn’t directly admitted to stealing the gun, his implication was clear.

“Let me touch you one more time, and I’ll tell you where your gun is; otherwise, forget it, and have your people come and arrest me, alright!” Yusuf Zuck leered, to be honest, Ember Vance was quite busty, and it felt good to the touch.

“You…

why are you like this!” Ember Vance cried out in frustration.

This bastard was too damn horrible.

Moreover, how daring was he to threaten a female police officer?!

“So, will you let me touch you or not?” Yusuf Zuck said with a smile.

“I would rather die than let you touch me.

Just you wait,” Ember Vance responded before she turned and opened the door.

“I’ll be waiting for you to change your mind, and it’s not a bad deal, ha ha,” Yusuf Zuck was thoroughly set on dealing with Ember Vance.

If he didn’t get her under control, who knows what trouble she could cause later.

Ember Vance ran down the stairs in a huff, dove into her car, and then leaned over the steering wheel and wept.

“Ring, ring, ring…” Just as Ember had been crying for a short while, her phone suddenly rang.

The caller ID showed it was her team leader.

She wiped away her tears before answering the call.

“Ember, tomorrow you, Miles Cooke, and I, the three of us are going on a trip to Yunnan.

Get ready, it’s a last-minute mission, we need a female comrade.

You’re the sharpest one on the team, and you’re always asking for fieldwork.

This time, your opportunity has come!”

“To Yunnan?

Tomorrow?

But… how are we going to get there?” Ember asked anxiously.

“Of course we’ll fly there.

Why do you sound different?

Have you been crying?

Did someone bully you?” The team leader was experienced; Ember’s voice sounded like she had a cold, a sign of a girl who had just cried.

“It’s nothing, I just choked on water.

So, we’re flying, but can we carry guns?” Ember was puzzled.

“Of course not.

We’re leaving tomorrow afternoon, we’ll have a meeting in the office in the morning, and you’ll need to check in your gun.

Once we get to Yunnan, the local comrades will take responsibility.

We’re just there to assist; it’s not too dangerous.

Okay, that’s it.

Take care of yourself and don’t catch a cold.” After the team leader finished speaking, he hung up, leaving Ember dazed.

She had to hand in her gun tomorrow, but her gun was gone, still lost.

“Ah, everyone bullies me, they all bully me!” The thought of the security guard’s hateful face nearly drove her mad.

At that moment, a large group of people walked out of the restaurant, led by Yusuf Zuck who waved goodbye to the other guards; they had finished their meal.

After seeing everyone off, Yusuf entered an Audi A8, started the car, and waited for Ruth Wilcox and Lara Tuff to come out.

Seated in her car, Ember had no idea what to do.

She wanted to retrieve her gun but didn’t want to be bullied by him.

Yet, without letting herself be bullied, she couldn’t get her gun back, and that would lead to big trouble tomorrow.

She was out of ideas.

The two women came down from upstairs, chatting and laughing, and got into the back seat of the A8, which then quickly drove off.

Despite her conflicts, Ember couldn’t let Yusuf escape her sight, so she immediately followed.

Yusuf was actually very conscious of his duties.

Although it was his first day at work, he knew what was most important.

Ruth’s safety was now his top priority, especially at night.

If another incident like last night happened, it meant he’d failed as a bodyguard.

Hence, as he drove, he remained extremely vigilant.

Ember’s tailing was soon noticed by him.

A careful look in the rear-view mirror and seeing a BMW, he knew who was following them.

“This girl, who knows what crazy things she might do next, I need to be careful with her,” Yusuf thought with caution.

Soon, he drove the car back to East Lake Villas safely, and from the rearview mirror, he saw Ember’s car being stopped.

At the “ding” of a notification, just as his car was about to arrive at Ruth’s villa, his phone signaled an incoming text message.

He hadn’t upgraded to the iPhone 5S yet, but his old phone could still receive texts.

He was somewhat baffled, as he rarely received text messages.

So, he picked up the phone and quickly glanced at it.

The number looked familiar; it was from Ember who had just sent him a text.

“Can we settle for any other terms instead of that one?” was the content of Ember’s text, and seeing this, Yusuf chuckled.

The girl was close to compromising, which surprised him a bit.

Still driving, Yusuf didn’t have time to text back, so he ignored her message.

The car entered the yard, and after the two women got out first, Ruth Wilcox stomped her foot.

The exterior lamp of her villa was voice-controlled, but it hadn’t turned on that night, so she stomped to activate it.

“Eh?

Why didn’t the light come on?

Is it broken?” Ruth muttered suspiciously and took out her keys to unlock the door.

At that moment, Yusuf also got out of the car and followed behind them into the villa.

“Click.” As Ruth entered the villa hall, she pressed the power switch.

However, after pressing it twice, the lights in the hall didn’t turn on; it remained dark.

“What’s going on?

Other houses have electricity…” Mia started to feel scared and clutched at Ruth’s arm.

Yusuf by then had also stepped into the living room, but as soon as he entered, a sudden whooshing noise sounded.

It was the noise of a baseball bat being swung; someone was hiding behind the hall door ready to strike with a club! ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

“Damn it, it’s a robber!

Ms.

Wilcox, Mia, be careful, duck!” As Yusuf called out a warning to Ruth and Mia to be careful, his “Divine Consciousness” had already been released and his body swiftly dodged and counterattacked with a side kick!

With a “crack,” the assailant never expected the driver would not only dodge his club, but also land a kick on him.

What was most shocking was the sound of his own leg bone breaking.

One side kick and his femur was broken.

How powerful was this bodyguard?

“Ah…” The attacker screamed, writhing in pain on the floor.

Meanwhile, in the dark hall, two figures had already pounced towards Ruth and Mia.
