Legacy Of The Extra-Chapter 71: Look Who is Back
Chapter 71 - Look Who is Back
[You are nothing but a dumb fucking idiot. How many times did I yell, huh? But, no. This fucking degen wants to get in trouble the first fucking day of the day!]
Dante's voice not just played but exploded in my head for the last ten minutes or so. He seemed genuinely angry at me.
And I don't blame him.
I went overboard.
[ARE YOU FUCKING LISTENING?!]
Yes, I am. I am.
[Ok, let's forget Alea, that bitch deserved it but do you even understand what would've happened if Felix died?] He asked.
Arrest?
[EXECUTION. He is a Duke's son.]
But so am I?
[Like your daddy would've saved your ass!]
Uhm, he is right about that. My loving father, who gave me a good facial surgery on the first day I arrived here, definitely would've condemned me and put me on the executioner's block.
[You did the same with Felix.]
What can you say? Children learn from their parents. That is why Alea is a mind fucked slave who only cares about family, Ikaris is a horny ass slapper who likes harassing girls and maids and Noah... Well, he was a simp.
How did Michael turn out like that? I don't know.
Maybe he was built differently from the start, or Lorelle cheated on the Duke.
[Which is not a possibility because Michael has Thorvian's Legacy.]
I guess my wench of a mother isn't actually a wench? Damn, the hubs have lied to me.
"Noah Von Blitzfeld, are you listening?" Magnus's voice pierced through my monologue, bouncing me back to reality. His eyebrows arched.
I was currently in the Headmaster's office for my crime of abusing a Duke's son. His office was expected to be the same from the game—Walls covered with diamond-shaped pattern wallpaper. A large window behind his brown leather chair has olive curtains opened wide, letting the sunlight in.
His polished brown desk contained many tomes of spells, attendance records, and a pile of paper beside him. It looked like a lot of work.
"Student Noah?" He called out again, a tease of frustration in his voice. "Are your ears numb? Or are you just ignoring me?"

"Ahem," I cleared my throat. "I can hear you clearly, sir."
He pressed his chin on his hand, looking at me with those cold, ocean-like eyes. "Can you please tell me your reason for beating Student Felix up?"
Haha, he forgot about Alea.
"And your sister also."
Fuck.
I inhaled and exhaled sharply. Straightening my posture, I looked Magnus dead in the eye while maintaining my calm expression. "Felix challenged me to a duel, and I complied. And it is stated in the rules that if the opponent does not concede, he shall be knocked out or killed."
"I simply knocked him out because he did not concede. That is a valid outcome based on the traditions and rules."
He nodded, leaning back in his chair. "Well, that is a good reason." He paused, looking around the room before continuing. "But, that does not mean you will go scot free. Inside the academy, dealing with life-threatening injuries is strictly prohibited. It is an institution that raises talent, not kills them."
"And also, there is the matter of Duke Frostholm—You do know, he is a very overprotective father?"
"Yes," I replied.
"And the Duke himself has been more on edge ever since the assassination of Lady Isolde, his wife."
My expression darkened. It is indeed true that Duke Frostholm is a great father and husband. He loved his wife and four children very dearly, unlike my own family.
They were kind enough to let young Noah visit their estates. And that is something I rarely ever get to see—Kindness.
Well, Felix's abuse did start there, but not like that. At first, he was a merry-go-round kid. He was insecure, too. But it really affected him when he saw his own mother's blood spilt right before his eyes.
She died protecting him and Cynthia.
I know this from Cynthia's route in the game, but I also experienced Noah's memory of witnessing her funeral. Witnessing the kind Duke turn into what his family stood for. The harsh and frigid cold.
But do I care? No.
Avenging her is not my motive, and it never was. I have my own path to walk, my own vengeance to be fulfilled. And, I would encounter the Shadow Veils in a few weeks anyway.
Because I will be joining their ranks.
"I hope you understand the gravity of the matter," He looked back at me with a gaze which turned warmer now. "Your father actually revoked your admission. It was Michael who enrolled you again. Did you know that?"
"I... didn't." My eyes widened. Did he really do that for me? Revoking my admission was not something I expected my father to do because, in the game, Noah never escaped the Blitzfelds. He was bound to them until his fight at the academy with Raiden.
But Michael enrolled me again, huh? And that idiot brother did not even mention it.
[You should thank him for that.] Dante said.
You are right. My lips themselves curved upwards in a small and gentle smile. Him enrolling me in the academy again meant it was he who was covering my fees, not the Blitzfeld family. And I gotta pay him back for it.
"Student Noah?" Magnus interrupted my thoughts again. "You still did not explain your reason for hurting your sister, Student Alea."
Well, shit.
Well, you are right abo—Wait... is that you Croft?
[Well, look who is back~] Dante jumped in.
Yeah, I did... My fists clenched, veins popping at my wrists. Where the hell were you, you fucking AI?!
You have been gone for two days straight and you did not even say anything about a fucking update!
Shut Up!
[Is it only me, or is this guy reacting like a normal human being now?] Dante genuinely asked a good question. The system was acting more like a human now.
"Student Noah, will you kindly listen to my words?" Magnus blocked my thoughts again, he must've been tired of me zoning out all the time. I could tell he was frustrated by the way he pinched his nose before speaking.
"Please tell me the reason for harming your sister, Student Alea." He repeated the question again. His fingers rhythmically tapped against the dark wooden desk as if his patience was running low.
"I—Uh—You see—"
Slam!
The door to the headmaster's office slammed open and a voice as sweet as maple syrup echoed in the room.
"GRAND...pa?"
No way in hell.

A/N: Well, the second Chapter for yesterday was delayed because I had to rewrite it. The previous doc was deleted. Never letting my little cousins touch my laptop again.
