Legendary FBI Detective-Chapter 257: Cage-Like Villa
Investigation Team 5, Office Area.
The sketch artist, based on Polly's description, completed the drawing of the guy who paid cash for children. Luo An and Reesi did not give Polly any heroin; instead, they had the trace evidence technicians use some methods to force her through the withdrawal crisis.
Back at their respective desks, William and a few other technical agents began to search for the identity of the person from the portrait. Mona looked at the interrogation record, her expression ugly:
"So, this woman Polly, simply because she needed money for heroin, sold her own son?"
"Correct."
Luo An expressionlessly picked up his coffee and took a sip, while Reesi added:
"Polly's history of heroin use has been for over twenty years. In the eyes of such people, as long as they can get their hands on heroin, there's nothing they wouldn't trade."
At first, Polly used to earn money for heroin with her body.
But as her addiction lengthened, ulcers and sores began to appear on her body, and she started having repulsive issues down there, so Polly's price kept getting lower until no one was interested anymore.
After this path was completely blocked, Polly then resorted to thievery and robbing the rich to support herself.
"Son of a bitch."
Mona muttered under her breath, putting the interrogation record back on the table. Luo An turned his head to look at William:
"How about it? Is there any identity in the database for the guy in the portrait?"
"Of course there is! And very detailed!"
William chuckled, pointing at the information just pulled up on the computer and saying:
"The criminal record shows that this guy is named Ferdinand Hunter, 37 years old, and has been in and out of federal prison several times for various crimes, including illegal possession of firearms, assault, drunk driving, and so on.
The database indicates that he currently resides in a mid-range community on Long Island.
Additionally, records from ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) suggest that Ferdinand Hunter might have purchased a large stockpile of weapons from the Underworld, which are likely stored in his residential community right now."
"In our free federation, human traffickers also need firearms to ensure their own safety."
Luo An drained his coffee, stood up, and looked at Reesi:
"Let's go discuss the consequences of human trafficking with this trafficker."
"OK!"
Reesi's mouth curled into a grin as he got up and went with Luo An into the equipment room.
————
Two hours later, a mid-range community on Long Island.
Fully armed Reesi stood next to a black SUV, while Luo An, also in full gear, was bending over working with a stun grenade in his hand.
It's been a long time since I used one, I hope I'm not rusty.
Two fully armed SWAT teams with riot shields stood beside them, with two members checking out the specifics of the three-story villa where Ferdinand Hunter was thought to be.
"Sir, there are people inside the target villa; both front and back doors are reinforced with steel plates and wood, with extremely thick steel plates."
Not long after, Luo An's chest communicator buzzed with a message from the two SWAT members who scouted the villa:
"We suggest using a large amount of plastic explosives."
"OK, good work."
Luo An nodded, turned to look at Reesi, and Reesi immediately led a team of SWAT members to the back door, while Luo An and the other team of SWAT members slowly moved towards the front door.
A shield-bearing SWAT member stood at the forefront, and once they reached the side of the villa's door, another SWAT member came out of formation, took out a large piece of yellow plastic explosive, and stuck it on the door.
"Three, two, one!"
After counting down, SWAT members at both front and back doors pressed the detonator simultaneously.
Boom!
Boom!
The deafening sound of the explosion suddenly erupted, the combination of steel + wood of the house instantly blasted into the interior of the mansion.
"FBI!!!"
"Go! Go! Go!"
"Speed! Speed!"
"Upstairs! Upstairs!"
"Check the basement carefully!"
Immediately after the explosion ended, two SWAT teams entered in single file, holding rifles in both hands and quickly checking every room in the mansion.
Luo An didn't rush upstairs; he walked to the blown-away villa door and noticed that the door wasn't just steel + solid wood, it also had foam boards and rubber inside, making the soundproofing extremely effective.
At the same time, the top of the door had been fitted with magnetic locks. The owner of the villa was very concerned about security, worried that the doors could be pried open.
But the FBI never pries doors open; they either kick them in or blow them up.
Bang! Bang!
The SWAT team members who suddenly barged in obviously gave the two guards in the mansion a big scare, as they raised their weapons to counterattack, only to be shot in the head by the SWAT members.
Ferdinand Hunter was also startled; the explosion occurred while he was watching TV.
When he heard the newcomers shouting FBI, Ferdinand Hunter's expression changed drastically. He grabbed the pistol beside him and fired two shots at the SWAT members, then dashed towards the villa's balcony after ducking against the side wall, suppressing the opposition.
At this moment, Luo An was just walking up to the second floor, where he noticed that the floors and walls of the mansion had been heightened and thickened, clearly with soundproofing measures in place.
On the balcony, Luo An found the glass to be a special thickened version, solidly locked, requiring a key to open.
"A custom-made cage... perhaps with other uses."
Luo An clicked his tongue, turning around just in time to see Ferdinand Hunter, eyes red, charging at him with a pistol.
"Shit!"
Seeing an obstacle in his path, Ferdinand Hunter didn't hesitate; he raised his pistol, ready to pull the trigger.
But Luo An was faster; as soon as he saw Ferdinand Hunter, he threw the stun grenade he'd been holding at him.
Boom!
An intense explosion, a blinding flash of white light, and Ferdinand Hunter instantly felt his eyesight go white and his ears in severe pain, losing his balance and falling in front of Luo An.
Kicking the pistol dropped by Ferdinand Hunter on the ground aside, Luo An waved at the few SWAT members holding their rifles and looking at each other in surprise, his expression very calm as he stepped over Hunter and said:
"Handcuff this guy and take him away, remember to put that pistol in an evidence bag."
"OK!"
The SWAT members nodded and quickly stepped aside to make way for Luo An, while from the third floor of the mansion came Reesi's call:
"Luo An! We've found something!"
The layout of the third floor of the mansion was very simple, just a few rooms separated by partitions, and the doors were installed with magnetic locks.
Luo An went up to the third floor, and Reesi pointed to one of the four rooms, wherein each room, there was a shivering little boy, all seemingly under the age of 10.

Luo An took a careful look around and realized that there wasn't even a landline in the entire mansion:
"Indeed, it's a cage."
Reesi put away his rifle, sighed, and tilted his head as he said:
"Before this operation, I thought this was a transit point for a human trafficking organization.
But now, it seems that's not the case."
Reesi had handled similar cases when he was with the SWAT, but the places prepared by those traffickers for their "goods" were not nearly as nice.
"This villa clearly has other uses."
Turning around, he asked the SWAT team members to take the children back to the federal building, then Luo An called the Forensics team to ask them to thoroughly examine the villa before saying:
"Let's go back and ask Ferdinand Hunter, he should tell us quite a few things."
