Days passed inside the Spirit's Realm as Arthur and Tiara traveled together toward the gateway leading to the next layer. Communities of seekers began appearing along their path, becoming bigger the more they approached the gateway.

A sliver of civilization began appearing when Arthur and Tiara spent the night inside a cave. The day was three times longer than the night because it rotated among the different layers of the Spirit's Realm.

It turned out that the artificial sun giving them light throughout the realm was a divine spirit traveling through the realms. There were three in total, rotating in shifts to push back against the abyssal monsters.

The first time Arthur and Tiara saw the light disappear would always be a memorable one. Abyssal spirits appeared in hordes, rampaging throughout the mountain range. They were in packs and far stronger than ones you would meet during the day. Therefore, they needed to take shelter to avoid exhausting themselves with unnecessary fights.

Arthur found the experience alienating simply because the realm had changed so much ever since he first visited it. A theory he had was that the realm he once visited was a portion that the world of Alka could handle. A bigger world could connect to a bigger realm, and so on and so forth.

A seeker the pair met in one of the caves, who claimed to be a researcher studying the Spirit's Realm, confirmed the theory. The Spirit's Realm could only extend as much as the seeker's world could handle.

Arthur realized that this meant the Spirit's Realm he visited was a fraction of the real thing and not its entirety. His world before the merge was a lower level than after the merge, which resulted in them visiting a different Spirit's Realm.

The seeker, whose name was Ali, answered his questions about the ranks of worlds. It was revealed that the Lesser Worlds, which his merged world was considered to be, were not the lowest. Partial Worlds came below Lesser Worlds, and Dungeons were the lowest form of worlds.

Ali was traveling to the City of Nexus, which was built around the gateway to the next layer. Arthur and Tiara discussed joining him before agreeing that the seeker, whose aura was gentler than a breeze, could not harm them.

The more the trio approached Nexus, the more they encountered groups of abyssal spirit users. Their groups became more organized, and their spirits were becoming stronger. Ali explained that their existence was a growing threat to the Spirit's Realm society, but they didn't stand a chance against Arthur.

"You are very strong, Sir Arthur," Ali told him after the group encountered another group of abyssal spirit users, which Arthur defeated with ease and assembled into his Kingdom of Wrath. "But that power is very terrifying."

Ali had a strange accent whenever he talked. He had a tendency to emphasize certain sounds, like his Rs and Os. It made him sound sincere for some reason. Furthermore, he liked certain words like very, much, many, in fact, actually, and indeed.

"It can be necessary at times," Arthur explained as he retracted his chains back into his body.

"Indeed. Indeed," Ali said with a nod. "But can I offer you guidance?"

"Guidance on what?" Arthur was more surprised than offended. He thought that Ali would see how powerful he was and get intimidated, but the man began explaining that Arthur was simply a brute.

"You are very crude in your use of energy. Many times, you use too much. Much more, you use unnecessarily. I believe that with the right guidance, you can indeed become a reckoning force inside the Spirit's Realm."

"Am I not already, after you have witnessed my spiritual energy?" Arthur asked with keen interest. Ali seemed hesitant to answer him truthfully but did so anyway.

"Don't be mistaken, Sir Arthur. You are a very powerful man. However, I have seen many of your kind fall under the hands of much weaker opponents. The difference was in their skills in utilizing spiritual energy."

"There are people who could defeat Arthur?" Tiara asked from the side, shocked enough to stop practicing withdrawing her spiritual energy. "What kind of monsters are they?"

"Regular ones, in fact," Ali said as his form wavered to create different shapes. "Skill means not only control over your spiritual energy but your very soul. If you do not have control over your soul, you actually have no control over anything."

Arthur considered his words, not taking them personally. He wanted to indeed learn to control his spiritual energy but had been seeing some obstacles because of its abundance.

"I will accept this guidance if you are willing to offer it," Arthur said with a nod. "And I won't forget this debt."

"Not a debt, in fact. This is merely a payment for protecting me until we reach Nexus. That should be… a week from now. My guidance will only extend until then."

The training began after that. Tiara also joined to learn how to guide her spiritual energy, and very soul, better. Ali explained many things, his explanations rather lengthy to convey certain points.

Spiritual energy had a will of its own, and a seeker needed to be in tune with it. In order to control their energy, a seeker must come to understand how their soul and body acted.

"My soul is very much alike to Miss Tiara here," Ali said as he pointed out the resemblance in their color. "We are called Benders or Controllers. Our souls are more inclined toward change in the outside world than ourselves. The energy is mellow and likes to take curves instead of a direct approach. Let's start with a simple practice now."

Ali began moving a blob of his spiritual energy around, explaining that the energy did not affect the world directly but in a curved trajectory. He explained that Tiara should imagine her spiritual energy like pulling a rope and guiding it rather than pulling it toward her.

"What about me?" Arthur asked as Tiara began her training.

"Well," Ali said. "I have never met anything like your spiritual energy. That means you have to figure it out on your own."
