Male Lead's Canon Fodder Wife-Chapter 1363: Wang Family’s Visit ( 2 )
Hearing her sister-in-law's words, Wang Muxiao smiled and replied, "Sister-in-law, don't worry. I know what to do. My husband and my in-laws spend a lot of effort and money to get the fish and chicken. How can I waste them?"
When they heard her words, they nodded and felt relieved. Before she got married, their sister-in-law was so domineering that no one could control her except for their father-in-law. Fortunately, after she got married, her personality softened and she no longer created trouble every day.
Wang Dalang's wife patted her hand gently and said, "It's good that you know."
"Sister-in-law, have you chosen the names for your sons?" Wang Erlang's wife asked.
Wang Muxiao shook her head and replied, "We haven't chosen the names yet. I plan to ask my husband's sister to find names for my sons."
Hearing this, her sisters-in-law were taken aback. Usually, the ones giving names to the babies would be the elders or at least the father.
If the family was illiterate, they would find someone to choose a name for the baby and give some gift in return. This was the first time they heard that the one who chose the name was the aunt.
After hesitating for a moment, Wang Dalang's wife asked, "Xiaoxiao, have you asked your husband about this?"
"This is his idea to begin with," Wang Muxiao replied.
"Xiaoxiao, choosing a name for the newborn is not a small matter. Have you thought about it?" Wang Sanlang's wife asked.
Noticing their worries, Wang Muxiao smiled and assured them, "Third sister-in-law, you don't have to worry. I have thought it through."
"Although my sister-in-law never attended school, she is literate. Her writing is beautiful, and she is very knowledgeable. I'm sure she will choose a good name for my sons."
After she said this, she leaned closer to them and added in a low voice, "After all, the one who taught me the snack recipes and how to sell them is Jueyu. She is very smart."
When they heard her words, they looked at her with surprise. They had learned about Wang Muxiao's idea of selling snacks after she finished her postpartum confinement.
They thought that the one giving her the idea was Lu Cheng. Unexpectedly, it was Lu Jueyu instead. It seemed that they still knew nothing about the Lu family.
Taking in their expressions, Wang Muxiao chuckled and said, "Sisters-in-law, don't worry. I know what I'm doing."
"Since you have made up your mind, then just do as you wish. We will support you," Wang Dalang's wife said with a sigh.
"Thank you, Eldest sister-in-law!" Wang Muxiao grinned.
While they were having a relaxing time, Li Chenmo and Song Li were busy cutting the paddy while Song Wen threshed the rice. As for Song Min, he was tasked with filling the sacks due to his weaker body.
As they worked, the sun began to slant toward the west. Raising his head, Li Chenmo said, "Brother-in-law, we should stop for today and come back tomorrow."
Song Li wiped the sweat from his forehead and replied with a smile, "Okay."
They had managed to harvest more than fifty sacks of rice—most of which had been done by Li Chenmo. By the time they finished threshing and packing the rice into sacks, it was already four o'clock in the afternoon.
"Brother-in-law, you and the children can carry some of the sacks. I will handle the rest," Li Chenmo said.
"Brother-in-law, there are still so many sacks left. How do you plan to transport them?" Song Li asked.
"Don't worry about that—I have my ways. You just take what you can and bring it to my house first. Once we finish harvesting the field and weighing the yield, we will divide it," Li Chenmo replied.
Since he insisted, Song Li didn't argue further. Before leaving, they covered the tools with vinyl sheets and began transporting the sacks using shoulder poles.
Each sack weighed around 25 kilograms. Song Li managed to carry four sacks, while Song Wen could only carry two. As for Song Min, he used a bamboo basket to carry one sack on his back.

Seeing how little they could carry, Li Chenmo said nothing. He tied five sacks together and hung them on each side of his shoulder pole. Then he loaded three more into a bamboo basket on his back. Once he was ready, he hoisted the pole onto his shoulder.
When the Song family saw him carry thirteen sacks with ease, they were stunned. Song Li looked at him and asked, "Brother-in-law, are you sure you will be okay?"
Li Chenmo shifted the load slightly and replied casually, "It's a bit heavy, but I can manage."
"Brother-in-law, let's go," he added, leading the way down the path.
Because they were carrying heavy loads, Li Chenmo avoided the shortcut with steeper roads and took the longer but flatter road instead. By the time they reached his house, the sun had already set and the sky was growing dark.
Seeing that her husband had returned, Lu Jueyu poured some water for him and her cousin. She handed them each a cup and said, "Husband, Cousin, drink some water first."
Lu Jueyu also gave the children water. Her water had been mixed with a pinch of spiritual herb powder. After drinking it, they quickly recovered some of their energy and wouldn't feel sore the next day.
After they finished the water, Lu Jueyu handed a bamboo basket to her cousin and said, "Brother, these are some sauces and seasonings I made myself. Please help me give them to my sister-in-law."
Song Li looked at the basket and saw jars and bottles inside. He only knew how to make simple dishes and had limited knowledge about spices and seasonings, so he could only accept it and said, "Thank you."
Then, he looked at Li Chenmo and asked, "Brother-in-law, what time do we depart tomorrow?"
Li Chenmo thought for a moment and said, "We will depart at 4 in the morning tomorrow."
"Okay. We will come before 4 then," Song Li agreed readily.
After they had recovered some of their strength, he returned to his home with his sons.
