"LIM GARAM-SSI, we have good news for you: your son’s pheromone level has already decreased. They’re barely detectable now. It’s a relief that his pheromones calmed down on their own. Lim Gunwoo’s wouldn’t have handled it otherwise."

Gunwoo wasn’t burning with fever anymore, but he kept on falling asleep.

It worries me because my baby is usually energetic.

"Don’t worry, Garam-ssi," Seong Kyungmin assured him. "Your son just needs plenty of rest. His tiny body was exhausted after releasing that high level of pheromones."

That was good news since that meant they could go home soon.

Lim Garam didn’t like the way some of the doctors looked at Gunwoo as if they wanted to dissect his son.

Fortunately, Seong Kyungmin wasn’t like that.

When I said I only trusted him to check on my child, he immediately dismissed the other doctors. I know he has that much power in this hospital, and that’s why I asked him that favor.

Lim Garam flinched because he knew it all too well.

"Garam-ssi, I understand that you’re worried about your son because he manifested as an Alpha this early," Seong Kyungmin said gently as if to console him. "But I assure you that Lim Gunwoo is healthy. There’s nothing wrong with him. We need a few more tests, but I suspect that your son is a Dominant Alpha."

"Dr. Seong, this is only my hunch, but do you think my son manifested because he felt threatened after he got kidnapped?" Lim Garam asked cautiously. The doctor was a Dominant Alpha, so he should know.

"You’re not wrong, Garam-ssi," Seong Kyungmin said while nodding. "Alphas are already stronger than Betas and Omegas. But Dominant Alphas stand above the average Alphas." The doctor paused for a moment and hesitated before he added: "And it seems like there’s one more class that we have yet to confirm."

The doctor just nodded and was about to say something when...

"You’re still here, Seong Kyungmin?"

Garam rolled his eyes.

He could tell Song Sihyuk was jealous of the fact that he was with another Dominant Alpha.

Seong Kyungmin just nodded politely, and then he bid goodbye to Lim Garam and Song Sihyuk before leaving the room.

"Garam-ah, are you upset with me?"

"No," Lim Garam said, sitting on the chair next to the bed. And then he carefully held his sleeping son’s hand. "I just don’t have the energy to argue with you since I want to focus on Gunwoo."

"I see. You’re upset," Song Sihyuk said, getting down on one knee and putting his chin on Garam’s thigh. "I’m sorry for being a jealous jerk."

"Hyung, don’t bother apologizing when you have no intention of changing anyway."

Song Sihyuk cleared his throat, and then he changed the topic. "How’s Gunwoo?"

Garam knew his husband was just asking to change the topic.

I’m sure Dr. Seong reported to Sihyuk Hyung first before he told me about my son’s condition. Plus, Hyung has many eyes and ears here.

"Hyung, are you a Hyper-Dominant Alpha?"

"Let’s talk about that later," Song Sihyuk said. "I can’t stay for too long since I have a business to attend to."

"Is that more important than our son?"

"Of course not."

"Then why are you leaving?"

"We’re going to catch the culprit behind our son’s kidnapping."

Lim Garam clenched his hands tight. "Bring me that bastard once you find him."

"As you wish, honey," Song Sihyuk said, addressing him affectionately. "I know you’re not comfortable here, but it’s better for our son to stay the night here. I’ll make sure to get rid of the staff members who make you feel uncomfortable."

"I booked half of the VIP Rooms on this floor while the Ilsung Group booked the other half. No one can enter this floor without the security leaders’ permission," Song Sihyuk added. "Anyway, Park Sohee is confined next door. So, if you and Gunwoo get bored later, you can visit him."

Oh, Lim Garam was glad to hear that.

I was planning to visit Sohee-ssi whether Sihyuk Hyung allowed it or not.

"Even without you telling me, I’m already planning to check on Sohee-ssi with Gunwoo," Lim Garam said because he didn’t want Song Sihyuk to think that he was doing him a favor. "I’m just a bit worried since Heedo-ya is a jealous freak like Hyung."

"Ah, don’t worry about that," Song Sihyuk assured him. "Kim Heedo is coming with me to confront the bastard who harmed his husband."

WHEN SOHEE opened his eyes, the first thing that greeted him was Kim Heedo’s handsome and worried face.

His body still felt sluggish, but he knew he was already safe.

"Is Gunwoo safe now, Heedo-ya?"

"Hyung, you were in more danger than the child," Kim Heedo said, scowling. "But I should have expected this. You’re too kind for your own good."

"Stop being dramatic and just answer my question, brat."

"Lim Gunwoo is fine— he’s confined next door."

Sohee let out a sigh of relief. "Heedo-ya, why are you dressed like a reaper again?"

Kim Heedo was dressed in black from head to toe.

Black turtleneck shirt, black leather jacket, black trousers, black combat shoes.

No, he actually looks like he’s about to kill someone.

"I’m glad you woke up before I left, Hyung," Kim Heedo said. "I’m coming with Sihyuk Hyung-nim. The bastard who hurt you has already talked."

"We know who the culprit is?"

"We’ll know later."

Sohee wondered if he should bring up Han Yechan and the fact that he was working with Jin Taejoon’s brother.

That Han Yechan said I owe him a favor.
