Married For Now-Chapter 136: LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP

OF COURSE, Sohee and Kim Heedo immediately went straight to the hospital after they received the bad news about Hong Sera.

The scene that greeted them on the VIP Floor of the hospital was pretty dramatic.

A scary Alpha dressed neatly was scolding Han Raehyun who could only lower his head and accept all the harsh words coming out of the man’s mouth.

Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon were behind the angry Alpha.

But it looks like they have no intention of helping Han Raehyun.

"Didn’t we already tell you to leave?" the angry Alpha said in a low and cold tone while putting his hands on his waist. "Han Raehyun, don’t make me call the security and ask them to drag you out of here."

Aigoo.

Sohee scrunched his nose, the stinky pheromones of the angry Alpha making him uncomfortable.

But only for a moment.

Kim Heedo wrapped an arm around his shoulders and pulled him closer to him.

Hence, in just the blink of an eye, he was now engulfed in his husband’s refreshing pheromones.

I can breathe again.

"Seokho Hyung."

Hmm?

Kim Heedo greeted the angry Alpha in a friendly manner before he whispered to Sohee: "He’s Sera’s second oldest brother."

Oh.

Hong Seokho turned in their direction, his face calming down instantly. "You’re here, Heedo-ya." The Alpha’s gaze then fell on Sohee. "And that must be your husband."

"Yes, Hyung. This is Park Sohee."

Sohee bowed his head politely. "Hello, sir."

"Let’s greet each other formally later," Hong Seokho said while waving his hand. And then he pointed at the door of Hong Sera’s VIP Room. "Seojun Hyung is waiting for you, Heedo-ya."

WHEN SOHEE got in Hong Sera’s private room, Kim Heedo introduced him to the new faces he was seeing for the first time.

Hong Seojun— Hong Sera’s oldest brother— and his wife, Han Minyoung.

Nam Yoona was also there, and she was the wife of Hong Seojun.

The meeting with Hong Sera’s family was cut short, though.

Moreover, Hong Seojun invited Kim Heedo to have coffee with him.

It seems like Hong Seojun-ssi has something important to tell Kim Heedo.

The two madams, on the other hand, had to return to work.

But that didn’t mean Sohee was alone.

Cho Euntak was there with him.

The room was also full of food that they could eat.

Hong Sera’s two nannies were also there to serve them and make sure they were comfortable.

Bodyguards were stationed at the door, too.

"I’m sorry I wasn’t able to pick up your calls last night, Euntak-ah," Sohee said remorsefully. "And thank you for your hard work."

Cho Euntak told him everything that happened.

So, basically, Hong Sera met up with Jin Minki at their favorite café.

Then, when Hong Sera and Jin Minki were in the car, a mini dump truck that lost control accidentally hit the car.

Hence, the accident.

Apparently, Jin Minki is already awake after receiving minor surgery for his traumatic head injury.

But Hong Sera was put in a medical-induced comatose.

Sohee looked at Hong Sera who was lying down on the bed— unconscious with several apparatuses attached to her to keep her alive. "You also did well, Sera-ya. Please wake up and come back to us. Or else, Euntak and I will cry."

Although their friend was in a comatose state, he believed Hong Sera could still hear them.

"H-Hyung..."

Cho Euntak was about to say something, but the door opened after a soft knock.

Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon entered the room, and then the two joined Sohee and Cho Euntak in the lounge area of the room.

They look upset.

"Where’s Han Raehyun?" Sohee asked carefully. "Did he leave?"

"He was dragged by Seokho Hyung’s bodyguards," Yang Jaewon said, sighing. "The hyungs and the noonas are upset, so Han Raehyun shouldn’t add to the problem."

"Problem?"

To be honest, Sohee expected that the case had been closed already.

That the driver had been locked up or whatever.

After all, Hong Sera is the princess of the Daesung Group— a big chaebol family.

Hence, it was upsetting to know that the driver hadn’t been caught yet.

"We can’t locate the driver of the truck," Yang Jaewon said in a frustrated voice. "All the CCTVs in that area weren’t working properly at the time of the accident. The CCTV in the café was working, but it didn’t capture the driver. Worse, the truck was registered to a different person. In short, it was a stolen vehicle."

"It feels like the accident wasn’t really an accident," Kwon Gaon added. "But we need to locate the driver first—"

GASP.

Everyone turned to Cho Euntak who suddenly gasped out loud as if he remembered something really important.

"I forgot about it because I was disoriented since last night," Cho Euntak said in a panic while fiddling with his phone, and then he showed them his gallery. "I took a picture of the driver before he escaped!"

Sohee was relieved to see that the picture of the driver was clear in the photos taken by Cho Euntak. "Good job, Euntak-ah."

KIM HEEDO felt nervous while having coffee with Hong Seojun in the café at the lobby of the hospital.

Hong Sera’s oldest brother was gentle and kind.

He’s a Beta, but even if he has a soft personality like Sera, Seojun Hyung is just as competent as other Alphas.

Even moreso than Hong Seokho who was an Alpha.

"Heedo-ya, I heard from Sera that she volunteered to help you investigate Lee Junsu."

Oh.

"That’s right, Hyung," Heedo said carefully while nodding politely. "What about it?"

"Actually, Shaman Crystal warned Sera that she’d meet misfortune if she helped you in any way."

Ah.

Heedo felt a shiver down his spine.

He wasn’t superstitious, and he didn’t trust the shamans who were supporting the chaebols even though he met Park Sohee through one.

I just can’t trust those shamans completely.

But Hong Seojun, the heir apparent of Daesung Group, might think otherwise.

I won’t blame Seojun Hyung if he blames me for Sera’s accident—

"Heedo-ya, don’t you find it suspicious that Sera got into an accident after Shaman Crystal’s warning?"

"Huh?"

"What’s with the dumb look on your face, kiddo?"

Embarrassed, Heedo started scratching his cheek. "I was bracing myself to accept your wrath, Seojun Hyung. Even if you blamed me for Sera’s accident, I wouldn’t be upset."

Hong Seojun smiled while shaking his head. "While I respect the shaman who helped us in the past, I wouldn’t follow her blindly. Especially not after the negative reports that I received regarding Shaman Crystal’s suspicious activities recently."

"It seems like you’ve been investigating Shaman Crystal-nim for quite a while now, Hyung."

"As the heir apparent to our company, I simply can’t trust anyone easily."

"Does this mean you trust me, Hyung?"

"Of course, I do. But there’s another reason why I wanted to talk to you."

"Another reason?"

"Your ex-boyfriend— Lee Junsu," Hong Seojun said while tapping his fingertips on the table. "Do you know that he’s one of Shaman Crystal’s VIP clients?"

Heedo knitted his eyebrows. "Tell me more about it, Hyung."
