Married For Now-Chapter 152: BITE MARK
Chapter 152: BITE MARK
HEH.
Sohee couldn’t help but smile while looking at the bite mark on the side of his neck.
Kim Heedo wasn’t in the bedroom when he woke up, but his husband left a note saying that he would return soon.
Since he didn’t have anything else to do, he took a long bath.
To be honest, the past week went by with Sohee barely leaving the bed.
Kim Heedo would feed and clean him up— even give him a bath— but most of their time was spent having crazy sex.
In fact, he didn’t have the strength to get up earlier.
Fortunately, he brought the supplements that Dr. Seong Kyungmin gave him during their last consultation.
It was stronger than the previous supplements that he had taken.
But it was effective.
And, according to Dr. Seong, those supplements are safe even for pregnant Omegas.
All the pain in Sohee’s body disappeared, and it was as if his stamina was refilled instantly. Hence, he was able to move as if he hadn’t temporarily lost his ability to walk because of his persistent Alpha.
He was supposed to return to the bedroom after wrapping himself in a warm and soft bathrobe, but he stopped when he saw his reflection on the huge mirror. Before he knew it, he was already admiring the bite mark on his neck like a crazy person.
We really did it, huh?
Kim Heedo bit him where his scent glands were really hard, leaving a mark of his perfect set of teeth on his skin.
But that wasn’t the only bite mark on his neck.
As if to be sure, Kim Heedo also bit the other side of his neck— and his nape as well. The bite marks were so deeply etched on his skin that they would take time before they faded.
Except for the bite mark where my scent gland is, of course.
The marking when Sohee and Kim Heedo imprinted would fade much later. In fact, it wouldn’t completely fade as long as the two of them were sexually active.
Heedo just needs to bite the same spot on his next rut.
That bite mark was like a wedding ring for bonded Omegas.
Moreover...
Now that I have this, other Alphas won’t be able to smell my pheromones anymore.
It was because when Kim Heedo bit Sohee’s scent gland, he left his scent on me— a way to tell other Alphas that he was already bonded.
Only Kim Heedo, the Alpha who marked him, would be able to detect Sohee’s scent.
The other Alphas would smell Kim Heedo’s scent instead of Sohee’s pheromones from now on.
Our bonding is now complete.
Sohee and Kim Heedo share the same pheromones now, so other Omegas and Alphas will identify us as mates at one glance... or whiff.
"Hyung?"
Hmm?
Sohee turned around and saw Kim Heedo entering the bathroom with a worried look on his face. "Why the long face? Did something happen?"
"I got worried when I didn’t find you in the bedroom, Hyung," Kim Heedo said while walking towards him. "You could barely stand this morning. How come you were able to take a bath on your own now?"
"Oh, I forgot to tell you. Dr. Seong gave me some supplements. I took them earlier, and the effect was amazing. See? It’s as if my stamina was replenished in an instant."
"Ah, is that so?"
"Why do you look displeased? Do you not like it that I regained my energy?"
"No, it’s not like that, Hyung," Kim Heedo said while shaking his head. And then he touched the corner of his mouth. "But, from now on, could you tell me first before you consume things you haven’t taken before? Like those supplements."
"I have taken them before, though."
"You know what I’m talking about, Hyung. I want to know everything that will enter your body from now on."
Aigoo.
There it is.
An Alpha was already possessive in the first place.
But a bonded Alpha becomes more possessive because after the imprinting, they believe their Omega’s body belongs to them.
"Heedo-ya."
"I know I’m acting worse than usual, Hyung," Kim Heedo said, sighing. "And I know it’s wrong to be this controlling. But I can’t help it for now. I’m trying to suppress this new type of possessiveness that’s coming out of me, so please bear with me in the meantime."
Right.
Now that we’re bonded to each other, Heedo has become more sensitive because his urge to own me has become overwhelming.
This was why bonded Alphas were known to be scarier than your average ones.
"Alright. I understand," Sohee said, nodding. Then he cupped Kim Heedo’s face between his hands. "Anyway, where have you been? You were gone for at least an hour."
That was how long Sohee was in the bath, after all.
"I was just downstairs, Hyung," Kim Heedo said, holding Sohee by the waist. "I was talking to my lawyer."
"Lawyer? You called your lawyer here?"
"Yes. I asked him to bring the documents I prepared before we went here, Hyung."
Sohee tilted his head to one side. "What documents?"
Kim Heedo grinned. "It’s better than a diamond ring, Hyung."
***
A POSTNUPTIAL agreement.
As its name suggests, it’s a contract agreed upon by a married couple after marrying that outlines the ownership of financial assets in the event of a divorce.
But...
"Is this as powerful as a prenup?" Sohee asked curiously. "Does our country recognize postnuptial agreements?"
"Not really," Kim Heedo said while shaking his head. "But that’s exactly why my parents are included in the big picture."
Oh, right.
"This contract says that in the event you lost your memories and asked me for a divorce, your parents will take you out of their will," Sohee said, gulping as he read the contract. "Then your supposed inheritance will all go to me."
Kim Heedo nodded, his eyes sparkling. "Did I do well, Hyung?"
"Have you lost your mind, Kim Heedo?"
"Hyung is worried about me losing my memories, so I’m making sure that I won’t do something dumb in case it happened," Kim Heedo said defensively. "Even if I lose my memory once my "evolution" as a Hyper-Dominant Alpha is completed, I want to stay married with you. I’m sure my memories will return anyway since Sihyuk Hyung-nim’s memories returned."
"Do you think you’ll care that much about your inheritance once you lose your memories?"
"What do you mean by that, Hyung?"
"Kim Heedo, I’m a veteran romance lover. I’ve seen it all— romcom series, rofan books, romance movies," Sohee said in a serious voice. "Do you know what’s the most common trope of dramas our country has produced twenty years ago?"
"No, Hyung."
"Of course, you don’t. You were just a baby twenty years ago."
"Hyung, you’re only two years older than me."
"Whatever," Sohee said, waving his hand dismissively. "Anyway, one of the most common tropes back then was amnesia."
"Yes?"
"You know what happens when the male lead forgets about the female lead?"
"They break up?"
"Worse," Sohee said firmly, grabbing Kim Heedo by the shoulders. "Once the male lead forgets about the female lead because of his amnesia, he’ll remember his love for his ex-girlfriend. Do you get what I’m trying to say here, Heedo-ya?"
Kim Heedo blinked as if he was confused, and then he frowned. "Hyung, are you worried that I might go back to Lee Junsu if I lose my memories?"
"Yes."
"Well, I can’t say for sure that it won’t happen. But I can assure you that I won’t give up my inheritance just to get back with him."
"I’m not so sure about that. The nineteen-year-old Kim Heedo I met a few years ago was ready to fight your scary grandpa for Lee Junsu."
"Yes, but I was also confident that Grandpa wouldn’t disown me. But even if I lost my memories of Hyung and I went back to Lee Junsu, I think I would still hesitate to divorce you if it meant losing my entire inheritance," Kim Heedo said, gently grabbing Sohee’s shoulders like he was doing at the moment. "So, Hyung. If I lose my memories and went back to Lee Junsu, please don’t give up on me. I know this is too much to ask, but please do everything you could to make me remember you. I’ll make it up to you once I retrieve my memories."
"Are you confident that you’ll retrieve your memories?"
"If Sihyuk Hyung-nim could do it, then I could, too."
"Do what?"
"Remember my precious husband."
Oh, right.
Sihyuk-ssi forgot about Garam Hyung-nim, but he remembered him in the end.
"It took Sihyuk-ssi years to remember Garam Hyung-nim again, though."
"I’m a better man than Sihyuk Hyung-nim, so I believe I’ll remember Hyung faster than Sihyuk Hyung-nim remembered his husband."
Pfft.
Why is he being competitive towards Sihyuk-ssi suddenly?
"Plus, even if my brain forgets Hyung, my body won’t."
"Is that supposed to be romantic?"
"Hyung, hear me out first," Kim Heedo pleaded. "What I’m trying to say is now that we’re bonded, our physical connection has become stronger than what you think. I don’t know if Hyung can smell it, but our pheromones don’t just mix with each other— they’re practically the same now. So, even if I lose my memories, I’m confident that I wouldn’t be able to deny that you’re mine and I’m yours. Not for long, at least."
Aww.
To be honest, Sohee’s fear didn’t disappear 100%.
The idea of Kim Heedo losing his memories and going back to Lee Junsu still terrified Sohee.
I don’t know how I’ll survive that kind of unnecessary "plot twist."
But thanks to Kim Heedo’s words, Sohee actually felt more confident now.
I’ll be fine since my husband is this determined to protect our marriage.
"Thank you, Heedo-ya," Sohee said, smiling now that he was relieved. "But try not to lose your memories, okay?"
"Of course, Hyung," Kim Heedo promised him. "I’ll do my best to remember you, whatever happens."
But, alas, promises are meant to be broken.
