Chapter 53: NEW DRAMA

"I CAN’T cook as well as Hyung does, so I just ordered hang-over soup from a restaurant I like. Is that alright?"

"Yes, of course," Sohee answered sleepily, just sitting prettily there while watching Kim Heedo set the table. He offered to help, but the kid told him to take a seat and stay put. "Thank you, Heedo-ya."

"I can do this much," Kim Heedo said, sitting down. "Let’s eat, Hyung."

"Okay."

Sohee took a bite first since it looked like Kim Heedo was waiting for him to eat first.

This brat really has good table manners.

However...

"I’m only two years older than you, Heedo-ya," Sohee said after savoring his first spoonful of the warm and delicious hangover soup. "You can have the first bite. I don’t really care about the age hierarchy or whatever."

"My parents are usually chill, but they’re strict when it comes to basic etiquette. So, it will be hard for me to break old habits, Hyung," Kim Heedo said. "And I like watching you eat. Your face lights up when you like the food."

Aigoo.

Kim Heedo said it so casually, but his words still affected Sohee.

So, he pays attention to me.

"Hyung, why were you with Sera and Cho Euntak yesterday?" Kim Heedo asked curiously. "And why did the three of you cry?"

"How did you know we cry?"

"Someone took a photo of you and posted it on the community board. But, don’t worry— the post was already taken down."

"Why would anyone take a picture of us and post it?"

"Because the three of you are pretty."

"What?"

"Sera, Cho Euntak, and Hyung. Apparently, you’re the prettiest Beta, Alpha, and Omega— respectively— in Yonhee University," Kim Heedo said teasingly. "I’m not saying that it justifies taking your picture secretly and posting it on the community board anonymously— I’m just saying that it might be the uploader’s reasoning."

Sohee just chuckled and shook his head, and then he answered Kim Heedo’s question. "We decided to work together and enter YonheeToon Awards as a group."

"You’re going to draw the manuscript that Sera wrote, Hyung?"

"Yes."

Kim Heedo clicked his tongue. "Then Han Raehyun chose Jin Minki’s script again."

"`Sounds like it’s a constant thing."

"Han Raehyun is a fan of Jin Minki’s writing. To be fair, Jin Minki is a good novelist. In fact, he’s a famous novelkiss writer."

"Then is he a professional?"

"I guess so, since some of his works were published physically."

"Then he doesn’t need YonheeToon Awards."

Kim Heedo shrugged. "It’s none of my business. I don’t care about Han Raehyun and Jin Minki. But if they were the reason why Hong Sera cried, then it’s a different story."

"All I can say is Sera didn’t cry because of them," Sohee said. He thought it wasn’t his place to name the emotion that Hong Sera felt towards Han Raehyun and Jin Minki, so that was all he could say with confidence. "We just read Hong Sera’s script. It’s a tear-jerking story, so the three of us ended up crying while talking about it."

"Is Hong Sera’s script good?"

"Have you not read any of the scripts that Hong Sera wrote before?"

"She stopped allowing us to read her pieces when we were in high school. Nowadays, she only shows her works to Han Raehyun."

"If Hong Sera decides to be a novelist, her works would be instant bestsellers. If she decides to be a scriptwriter, her works would be an instant hit," Sohee said. That was how good Hong Sera’s writing was. "If Hong Sera’s script doesn’t win, it’s because my art is lacking."

"You should have as much confident in your art as you do in Hong Sera’s writing, Hyung."

"Okay, I’ll work on that."

Kim Heedo just nodded. "Hyung, what do you use for drawing?"

"The computer tablet that your mother bought for me."

"Ah, that won’t do. Let’s buy a more suitable computer tablet for digital art."

"The "more suitable computer tablet" you’re talking about is a foreign brand. Is that okay? You’re the grandson of the conglomerate that made the computer tablet I’m using."

"Our company won’t get bankrupt just because my husband uses a competitor’s product. Heck, even the celebrities who are supposed to endorse our phones are often caught using a foreign device."

Pfft.

It was funny because it was true.

"That’s probably why your company became more, uh, creative," Sohee teased Kim Heedo. "You started adding limited photocards so that your endorsers’ fans would buy the phone that their idols advertise."

"Capitalism, right?"

"I can’t complain since I benefit from this capitalistic society."

Kim Heedo chuckled while shaking his head. "Hyung, you should have taken Business Administration with me."

"No, thank you. Let me just be the husband of a rich businessman."

"Hyung says the weirdest things."

"Yet you smile at each one of them."

Kim Heedo cleared his throat, and then he put on a stoic face. "I don’t."

Aigoo.

Sohee smiled and tousled Kim Heedo’s hair. "Heedo-ya, you’re like a child who can’t identify his emotions yet."

SOHEE didn’t have that many classes that day, but his schedule was still full.

First of all, he and Cho Euntak officially became members of the Webtoon Reading Club.

And the three of them finally decided on what their group name would be.

"’Crybabies,’" Sohee said, and then he laughed softly. "For people in the creative field, we all suck at naming."

Hong Sera and Cho Euntak nodded in agreement.

"But that’s the word that suits us best," Hong Sera said. "I like it."

"Me, too," Cho Euntak said. "But, to be honest, I like Sera Noona and Sohee Hyung. So, I don’t care what name we use as long as the three of us get to work together."

Aww.

Hong Sera was about to hug Cho Euntak, but Han Raehyun and Baek Jeho stopped that from happening.

Han Raehyun put his arm around Hong Sera.

While Baek Jeho literally pulled Cho Euntak closer to him.

Oh, I love the smell of drama.

"Sohee Hyung."

Ah, it was Jin Minki.

He looks less hostile to me.

"Have you heard?"

Sohee wondered why Jin Minki was talking as if they were close, but he still played along. He liked socializing anyway. "Heard about what?"

"Kosmos will be performing at our university festival," Jin Minki said. "Lee Junsu is my friend, so I heard it from him directly."

Ah.

Sohee internally sighed.

Why do I attract people who are close to Lee Junsu?

Author’s Note: The story pacing will take off from here. I know the pace is slow, and it’s because this is actually more of a healing, slice-of-life BL. I just want to write about Sohee’s life as a new money while he enjoys the college drama around him (especially the drama between SeraxRaehyun and EuntakxJeho). LOL.

But the romance part is here. Please bear with me a little longer. Kim Heedo will start acting like a proper ML soon.

Thank you for your patience. ^^
