Marvel : I'm in Westview Town-Chapter 132 : Museum
Chapter 132 - 132 : Museum
Two hours passed.
The trio—Finn, Wanda, and the Dark Witch—arrived smoothly at the Museum of the City of New York. To their surprise, the place was already crowded. Though it was still morning and the museum wasn't scheduled to open until the afternoon, a large number of visitors had gathered outside, snapping pictures and waiting eagerly. It felt as though half the city had turned up just to see the scene.
"It's not even open yet. Why don't we go eat something?" Wanda tugged on Finn's arm, her expression full of exaggerated pleading.
"It's barely been a couple of hours and you're already hungry? Have a little restraint," the Dark Witch muttered, arching an eyebrow in disapproval.
"So what if I'm hungry? You might be fine, but I'm starving," Wanda replied, sticking out her tongue. She then pulled Finn forward without waiting for any more of the Dark Witch's sarcasm.
"Interesting," the Dark Witch whispered, licking her red lips as she watched them. Without hesitation, she followed. "Can't you two wait for me?"
After that small episode, the three of them found a restaurant a short walk away. It was a modern-looking bistro with a sleek design and large glass windows. Wanda looked around as they entered, her eyes lighting up. "This place looks amazing."
"No time to waste. If you're so hungry, let's find a seat and order," Finn said, pushing the door open and walking in with both witches beside him.
The interior was packed. Conversations buzzed, utensils clinked, and the aroma of rich food filled the air. A hostess with a dazzling smile approached them. "Hello, welcome. Do you have a reservation?" freewēbnoveℓ.com
"No," Finn replied curtly. "Any seats available?"
She glanced behind her and then back at him. "I'm afraid not at the moment. As you can see, it's pretty busy. However, if you're willing to wait about ten minutes, we can have a table ready for you."
"That'll work," Wanda said quickly before Finn or the Dark Witch could object.
The other two looked at her and then nodded.
With no other options, they found a small waiting area and sat down. Ten minutes wasn't unbearable, and it gave them time to rest their feet and chat.
Exactly ten minutes later, the hostess returned. "Your table is ready. Right this way."
She led them to a cozy spot by the window. Once seated, they each glanced at the menu and ordered a few dishes without too much thought—hunger had already made the decisions for them.
As they waited, the Dark Witch leaned forward and looked at Finn with interest. "So, does your country have places like this?"
Finn glanced out the window before replying, "Yeah. Back in the UK, we've got places like the British Museum, Natural History Museum, and others. All of them packed with history going back centuries. You could spend days exploring."
Wanda perked up at this. "That sounds incredible. I'd love to go there sometime."
"If we get the chance, I'll take you," Finn replied casually. He looked comfortable and relaxed, like he was speaking of a place that truly felt like home.
The Dark Witch studied his face quietly. For a brief moment, her sarcastic edge vanished, replaced by genuine curiosity. "You speak like you really miss it."
Finn's smile softened. "Yeah, I do. The history, the old cities, the traditions. There's a sense of legacy in every street."
Before either of them could respond, the food arrived. The waitress snapped her fingers, and within moments, other staff placed dishes in front of them. The scent of grilled meat, herbs, and spices quickly filled the table.
"Let's eat!" Wanda practically shouted, diving in with a grin. Hunger erased any sense of restraint.
The Dark Witch snorted. "You eat like a war criminal. Didn't even wait five seconds."
"Shut it," Wanda shot back, her mouth already full. She waved a fork dismissively. "You don't run this table."
Finn chuckled. "Eat slowly. If you're still hungry, we can order more. We've got hours before the museum opens, plenty of time to enjoy a stroll afterward."
The Dark Witch looked at him, something unreadable in her gaze. "That doesn't sound bad at all."
For a brief moment, things felt peaceful. The chaotic world outside—superhero responsibilities, villains, endless missions—faded into the background. Here, they were just three people having lunch.
Wanda paused mid-bite and looked at Finn. "Why aren't you eating?"
"I'm not that hungry yet," he said with a small smile. He reached out and patted her head lightly. "You two go ahead."
The moment was light, but there was something about Finn's expression that made the air shift. He was gazing out the window again, but his eyes weren't just watching the street—they were deep in thought, heavy with memories and decisions not yet made.
The Dark Witch noticed, her fork frozen halfway to her lips. She didn't say anything, but she kept watching him, the smirk on her face gone. Wanda, too, glanced between Finn and the window, feeling the mood change.
"Hey," Wanda said gently, "If you ever want to go back, just say the word. I'd go with you. I want to see everything you've talked about."
Finn turned back to her and nodded slowly. "If there's a chance, I'll take it."
They continued eating, this time in a quieter tone. No less friendly—just more reflective. The bond between the three had deepened in an unspoken way. The food was delicious, but it was the company that made the moment linger.
By the time the plates were nearly cleared, the outside sun had risen higher. The shadows on the street began to shorten, and the energy outside the museum pulsed with excitement.
Finn stretched his arms. "You two ready to walk off that feast?"
Wanda leaned back in her chair, patting her stomach. "Barely. But yes."
The Dark Witch smirked. "Only if you promise not to run off and start a history lecture."
Finn stood and held the door open for them. "No promises."
They stepped outside together. The day was young, the city vibrant, and for once, their pace was slow—not rushing toward battle or danger, but simply heading toward the next story waiting to be discovered behind museum doors.
