Chapter 147 - 147

"Beautiful battle! That really showed me the power of Body Press!"

Steven could clearly see that Hikaru's continuous use of Body Press wasn't just about dealing damage to Registeel—it was to demonstrate the might of this new move firsthand!

Undoubtedly, even though Regirock is a Rock-type Pokémon, when used by Steel-type Pokémon with high defense, the move's potential would be even greater!

Hikaru stepped over the defeated Registeel.

The Titan's hammer had been terrifying—but with the help of special Berries, its overwhelming force was cleverly neutralized. This world was full of wondrous items that play critical roles in battles and training!

"The Earth Plate... Got it!"

Hikaru walked over to the giant furnace and picked up the light brown tablet.

[Mythical Artifact: Earth Plate]

[Description: A Plate infused with Ground-type energy. When held, it boosts the power of Ground-type moves.]

[Acquired Professional Knowledge: 1]

[Geologist (People of the Earth): Can perceive the energy flow within the land, awaken the power of the earth, and increase friendliness with Ground-type Pokémon.]

[Unlocked Unique Craft: 1]

[New Mysterious Craft Unlocked: 1]

///

[Mystic Ground Craft (S)]

[Description: A unique craft that connects all things in the world. It allows important locations to be linked through shortcuts, turning them into livable hubs. It reads ley lines and rearranges their flow through positional combinations, establishing new networks. Requires the area to have 'Ley Lines' or 'Dragon Veins' to enhance its wonder.]

[Required (Already Acquired): "Destruction Craft," "Hidden Power," "Awakening Power," "Environmental Sculpting Craft," "Ancient Architecture Craft," "Ruin Sculpting Craft," "Orb-Making Craft."]

[Potential Requirements (Not Yet Acquired): "Town Development Craft (Kalos)," "Dream Link Knowledge (Unova)," "Ultra Wormhole Craft (Alola)."]

[Once the above three are acquired, the Mystic Ground Craft can not only link key areas, but also connect to the Dream World and other special dimensions!]

[Mystic Item Hint: [Ancient Charm] — Related Location: Valley of Light (Bloodmoon Ursaluna's hometown)]

[Required Materials: Jade, Black Jade, Lapis Jade, Rare Bones, Pokémon Fossils — also requires "Protection Charm."]

Hikaru staggered as all this information poured into his mind!

When he finally recovered, his first reaction was: That battle was absolutely worth it!

Mystic Ground Craft... what kind of technique was this? So many prerequisites! Just from the name, Hikaru guessed it probably originated from some dungeon world...

In short—it had to be a super technique for building a special paradise!

As for the ancient charm—it was something Hikaru was familiar with.

In the Sinnoh game, Champion Cynthia gives the protagonist a strange bone charm to deliver to her grandmother in Celestic Town. It was merely a plot item, but its true function was mysterious.

In Hisui, however, similar charms existed—like the beloved "Substitute Charm," "Health Charm," and "Safety Charm."

The Substitute Charm prevented item loss, the Health Charm blocked status conditions, and the Safety Charm made it harder to faint. Against wild Pokémon, they were like protective shields!

And that new profession knowledge...

People of the Earth?!

That was from one of the movies! A nation said to carry part of Unova's founding legend. The People of the Earth could harness Dragon Veins—invisible, massive flows of energy across the land.

Stable Dragon Veins created peaceful kingdoms where humans and Pokémon could live. But if they went out of control, the energy would vanish, turning the land into a lifeless gray wasteland.

In the movie, the Dragon Vein's collapse was caused by the clash between the Heroes of Truth and Ideals, and the war between Reshiram and Zekrom—which ultimately doomed the Earth People's kingdom.

Hikaru realized this knowledge might complement what he learned from Steven—the guidance pattern knowledge. If he could learn to awaken Dragon Veins...

After storing the Plate, he looked over to find Steven studying the ores inside the temple.

Meanwhile, Doublade was playfully tapping Registeel with its ribbons, and Lilligant was poking at its body, marveling at its durability.

"This is the Black Steel hammer," Hikaru said, attempting to lift it—and was surprised that it didn't feel as heavy as expected?

Was it because his forging skills had boosted his strength and stamina?

[Legendary Tool: Black Steel Great Hammer]

[Description: A heavy-duty forge hammer created by Registeel, the Black Steel Pokémon. Made with the same mysterious material as its own body, formed by melting rare ores in magma and combining them in precise proportions. The recipe is known by Regigigas.]

[Effects: Steel-type and Fighting-type move power +20%. Forging efficiency and quality +100%.]

"Too big for me, though. It's not practical for daily use."

Still, this was an incredible buff for forging—enhancing both crafting and battle potential. Steel + Fighting-type Pokémon like Lucario or Zamazenta would benefit greatly!

"Gachi..."

Bloodmoon Ursaluna walked over, sweating nervously. It looked at Regirock, then at Hikaru.

That rocky Titan was strong before—but not this strong!

Good thing it ran away last time, or it would've been flattened in that Black Steel temple fight!

"Gachi, gachi..."

Thanks a lot, rock giant. You've got a kind heart. I hope you stay that way. Please love all Pokémon!

Ursaluna solemnly patted Regirock's arm.

"Beep-beep-beep—"

Registeel's voice suddenly rang out as it regained consciousness. Hikaru had his Pokémon help lift it off the ground—it had a round head, and once it hit the floor, it was basically stuck.

Its LED-face blinked slowly as it stared at Hikaru. It had no facial features, but its emotions could be felt—it was deeply dejected and in disbelief.

Among the three Titans, it was the toughest and most unyielding. Regirock shouldn't have been stronger.

I... I lost...

Registeel waved a hand dismissively, utterly disheartened.

Forget it. The Black Steel Temple's flames were never going to burn again. The dream of turning the earth into a vast smelting zone—over.

Regirock tried to cheer it up.

Don't be like that. Face reality. I've got a new career plan. Let's go find Regice and open a little shop in the woods. I mine, you forge—we'll rebuild the glory of the temple together!

But Hikaru didn't speak. Instead, he pulled out some polishing tools from his backpack.

Registeel was confused—until Hikaru began sanding and repairing its body...

A wave of unimaginable comfort rippled through its steel shell and seeped into its core!

W-What is this technique?!

Since its creation, not even its "father" Regigigas had ever polished it with such skill!
