"Before we start our conversation, I would first like to thank the two of you for coming here at such short notice."

As these words left her mouth, Mystia had a wide smile on her face as she looked at the two young men before her.

Valyr let out a brief chuckle in response. "It's the least we could do, Miss Mystia."

Ataraxia nodded in agreement.

After receiving a message to have both of his identities come to the Meltierre Heavenly Court as soon as possible, Valyr made use of the Mage Guild's Teleportation Hall to hastily arrive at the Meltierre Empire.

Making use of his only movement skill and a couple of buffs to cover the remaining distance to the Heavenly Court, the young man did not directly enter Mystia's room the moment he arrived.

Instead, he spent a bit of time familiarizing himself with [Soul Split] once more, seeing that some of its effects had improved now that the level gap between the two had significantly lessened.

'With the level gap now only a single class rank, [Soul Split] can now remain active for over half a day without worries,' thought the young man to himself as he simultaneously controlled the other identity to keep talking with Mystia.

"Now, Valyr. Ataraxia."

Hearing these words from Mystia, both Valyr and Ataraxia focused their attention on her as their expressions turned solemn.

"Since I've brought the two of you here, I suppose you two already know the reason behind it, right?"

"Of course." Valyr nodded, with Ataraxia nodding along soon after. "Considering how much time has passed since our last conversation, it's still surprising that there's only a couple days left before the Myriad Prodigies Tournament begins."

"Indeed." Mystia nodded with a slight smile. "To be honest, I've been spending most of the past couple of months in the Mystic Plane. You could say that this realization feels a bit more jarring to me."

"In any case, I presume the two of you still remember your goals during the tournament?"

At those words, the two nodded in agreement.

"Obtain as much information as possible on the alleged spy, right?" asked Ataraxia.

"Exactly." The woman nodded back. "Although my side would still be doing most of the information gathering, the information you obtain from the tournament would still be of massive help to our cause."

"Mind if I ask the identity of the spy again?" said Valyr after that, giving Mystia a slightly apologetic smile. "After all, it's been a while since we've last talked about it."

"It definitely has been," replied Mystia with a slight nod, becoming silent for a bit as she briefly sorted out the thoughts in her head.

"Now, the person that I want the two of you to obtain information on is the half-sister of the current king of Algerie Kingdom, Erika Reveler Algerie."

"Back then, I'm pretty sure I told you that there were three alleged spies the empire was keeping their eye on, with Erika being the most prominent out of all of them."

Hearing those words, the two briefly glanced at each other for a bit before looking back at Mystia with a slight nod.

"Fortunately, with a few months having passed since then, we were able to pinpoint that the spy we really need to keep an eye on is none other than Erika."

"As for the two other people the empire has kept their eyes on, they're also actually considered spies for the other races," she continued, causing both Valyrs to briefly look at her with surprise. "But compared to Erika, the consequences their actions could possibly cause are far less."

"After all, between the two, which is objectively worse? The spy that targets those at the frontlines? Or the spy that targets the future backbone of humanity?"

Although the two did not say anything in response to her question, the gazes they gave Mystia was more than enough for her to know their thoughts on the matter.

"Well, with that out of the way… I suppose I should ask you two how your preparations for the tournament are going."

Valyr scratched the back of his head at those words. "I haven't really made any preparations these past couple of months, especially since I've been spending most of my time in the military."

"I did receive news that a certain War Squad had been able to kill the Grand Chieftain of the Khagarax Empire." Thinking over his words, Mystia eventually nodded in understanding. "As far as I remember, it wasn't even a day after the mission was made public?"

"That it was." Valyr sheepishly smiled. "Even until now, we're still trying to complete the other objective contained within the mission, but to no avail."

"I don't blame you," replied Mystia, briefly giving the young man a look of respect. "After all, even the empire's greatest intelligence network can't pinpoint the whereabouts of Ala'ina Empire's High Sovereign."

"Your military exploits aside… how about you, Ataraxia?" With Valyr telling her outright that he hadn't made any preparations whatsoever, Mystia shifted her expectations towards Ataraxia instead.

Fortunately, he didn't disappoint her.

Whoosh!

Briefly releasing his aura in its entirety, Ataraxia responded to her question with a slight smile. "I can say that the past couple of months have been quite fruitful, Miss Mystia."

Though he didn't go into full detail on all the improvements he made, he did make sure to mention his ascension to Rank 3, the great changes his guild had undergone over the past couple of months, as well as his comprehension of two Intent Seeds.

"Oh?" Surprisingly, Mystia's interest was piqued at the mention of the Intent Seeds. "Which concepts did you comprehend, if I might ask?"

"True Mana and Spell Control," replied the young man, briefly showing his connection with the world to her.

"Truly befitting of a mage," said Mystia in response, chuckling as the three of them continued to discuss the specifics of the tournament a bit further.

Eventually, the three of them felt like they discussed the tournament for long enough, prompting the three of them to part ways.

"See you two at the tournament," said Mystia, waving at both Valyr and Ataraxia farewell with a slight smile.

"May the heavens be on your side."
