Early in the morning, Neo woke up as usual at 10 a.m. Quietly, he got out of bed. While walking, he checked his phone to see if anyone had messaged or called him. Noticing four messages—one from Noah, one from Isaac, one from Amelia, and one from an unknown number—he first tapped on Noah's message and read
"Neo, I have done what you asked. I bought all the things the house currently needs and stocked up on food for a month. You are ready to move out anytime you want. The cars you bought are already at your house, but there's a problem: limited parking space. I've contacted someone to see if the vacant lot beside you is for sale. The estimated price for that lot is $5 million, but the seller wants $10 million. Are you willing to pay that for 3,000 square meters? If yes, I will send all the documents later when I attend your sister's birthday party." After reading the message, Neo typed a response on his phone
"I totally forgot about the parking. I will buy the lot for $5 million; bring the papers later. After that, your job is done. Thank you, Noah. I'll transfer the money now." Neo transferred the money and then looked at Isaac's message
"Neo, at least five robbery attempts have happened within the last three days. Tomorrow, the auction for the stone will start at 7 p.m. I will send Kim to guide you to your VIP room. Just call me when you arrive, or I can give you Kim's number so you can contact her directly. Also, I have secured the location for your shop. I just need about a month to finish the renovations and make the necessary changes." Isaac sure works fast, huh, but a month to finish. I don't want to wait for that long. Neo began to respond to Isaac's message
"Okay, Isaac, just give me Kim's number, and I will call her tomorrow when I arrive at the auction. By the way, you don't need to make the shop sturdy. You can create the basic form of the shop without making it strong, as that will consume more time. I can make it indestructible and more elegant inside. I just need that base form; leave the rest to me." I sent the message and clicked on the unknown number.
"Sir, we are the delivery team for the car. We have already delivered it, and the person who received it was your mother next door. We parked the car inside your garage." Thank goodness it was my mom who saw that and not the twins. I sent a thank-you message to the delivery team and proceeded to check Amelia's message.
"Brother, uncles, and aunts are already at the house. You should visit them when you wake up tomorrow." Oh, so they have arrived? It has been three years since I last saw them.
I freshen up and walk outside. In the garage, I notice two new cars and continue on my way. I see people working in my parents' garden, decorating it with many flowers.
"Neo, you're here! Come, your uncles are already awake," my mother, who is observing the organizers, spots Neo walking toward the house.
Good morning, Mom!" Neo exclaimed with a laugh. "It seems the house will be busy today."
"Yes, Amelia's birthday party starts at 6, so they're here early to decorate the garden. By the way, Neo, I mentioned to your uncle that they can have this house after we leave, but they seem uncomfortable accepting it," Luna shared with Neo, hoping he would discuss it with his uncles.
"Hahaha, even back then, Mom, if our uncle had offered us a house like this, you would have hesitated, thinking you were taking advantage of them. But don't worry, we can talk about it inside. Oh, and thanks for receiving the car, Mom. Lucky it was you. That was my gift for the twins," Neo replied.
"I saw them in front of your house, and knowing your habit of waking up at 10 AM, I intercepted them and signed the delivery document. Your siblings sure are growing fast; don't spoil them too much, Neo," Luna said.
"Mom, it's okay to spoil the twins. They're not like others who are arrogant; they know what's good and bad. Trust us, Mom. You're the one who raised us," Neo said as he hugged his mother while they walked toward the door.
"I sure do. That's why I'm proud of you three," Luna said, opening the door. "Brother, Neo is here!"
"Oh, Neo! You sure took after my looks at your age, hahaha!" Frank, who was at the dining table, stood up and walked over to hug Neo.
"What looks? You didn't like him at all! Neo, how are you? I heard you became a playboy," Faye said, also stand up to give him a hug.
"I should thank you then, Uncle Frank, haha! Because of you, girls can't resist me! And Aunt Faye, I'm not a playboy; I'm a loverboy, hahaha!" Neo said, returning their hugs.
"Your tongue hasn't changed, kid, hahaha! You're as tall as I am now," Uncle Lester said, hugging Neo.
"I missed you, little Neo. Leon always wanted to visit, but he has school, and you know our situation, hahaha," Lucy said as she hugged Neo.
"Hahaha, that's something I inherited from you, Uncle Lester. Don't worry, Aunty Lucy, I will help you all. So where are Felix and Leon?" Neo asked as he sat at the table with his uncles and aunt.
"They are enjoying their sleep, hahaha. Maybe they will wake up a little later. They played video games all night with Amelia and George," my father said, sipping his coffee.
"Ah, okay. But Mom said something to me while we were walking in the garden," Neo's uncle and aunt exchanged glances, unsure of what to say.
"Uncle, there's no need to hesitate to accept this house. Besides, this isn't the only one we will give you. We are family, not strangers. When you help Mom, you do it not because she's just your sister or because you expect something in return. You help her because you love each other. It's the same here; we're helping you because we want to and we love you. So please accept this, uncles and auntie. Money won't be a problem for us starting today. We are family," Neo said.
"You sure know how to use words to convince us, Neo. I can't argue with that. Like you said, we are family. I accept what you will give us. Thank you very much, Neo, Luna, and Oliver," Frank said, tears falling from his eyes.
"We are so lucky that you are our sister, Luna. Thank you very much for this help. Neo, thank you for assisting Uncle and my family. Oliver, thank you as well," Lester said, also in tears. Aunty Lucy couldn't help but cry, too. They had been struggling to make ends meet each day, and now that Luna's family was helping them, she felt incredibly grateful.
Felix and Leon, who were about to greet them, stopped to listen to the conversation happening in the dining room as they looked into the kitchen.
