Multiversal Wanderer: Starting in Naruto-Chapter 48: Sharing the Chakra Fruit
Chapter 48 - 48: Sharing the Chakra Fruit
Su Xiuyu suddenly opened his eyes. After six months of receiving his daily chakra infusion, the sacred tree had begun to develop a faint trace of intelligence. Though it couldn't communicate directly with him, it could now express simple preferences.

A faint thought rippled through Su Xiuyu's mind. He deduced that the sacred tree's fruit had likely ripened, though its limited consciousness couldn't explicitly convey this information.
Without hesitation, Su Xiuyu ascended to the top of the sacred tree. Over the past six months, he had gradually developed the ability to fly. Though his flight speed remained slow, it was evident that his Ōtsutsuki bloodline had strengthened, granting him the ability to manipulate gravity.
The Rinnegan possessed powerful gravitational control abilities. The strength of such abilities depended entirely on the user's skill. Now, mastering this new power marked a crucial step in Su Xiuyu's growth. It signified that his bloodline was nearing the Six Paths level, though he had yet to fully reach it.
To attain true Six Paths-level power, one needed to master Yin-Yang Release, the Bloodline Selection Net, the Sage Eyes, and possess a fully awakened Sage Body. While Su Xiuyu hadn't yet met these conditions, it was merely a matter of time.
He silently acknowledged that, without the system providing him with a complete Ōtsutsuki bloodline, he wouldn't have even had a younger brother—let alone dared to use his Mangekyō Sharingan.
At the peak of the sacred tree, a rose-red fruit gleamed, emitting a fragrant aroma. Su Xiuyu gently wiped it, causing the tree to tremble slightly in response.
"You'll have to remain on this planet for now," Su Xiuyu murmured. "I'll be leaving for a while, but I've already set the spatial coordinates. I'll return to retrieve you soon."
The sacred tree extended a vine, as if reluctant to part with him, but it did not attempt to stop him. It seemed to understand his words.
"Also, I've projected the Sharingan's illusion onto you. Occasionally, release it on the Precursors to reinforce their memories. Keep them working hard for you. After all, they're just our puppets, so pushing them a little harder isn't a problem."
The sacred tree, though it didn't understand what "pushing harder" meant, still agreed. To it, the Precursors were simply a strange and ugly bunch, so giving them extra "encouragement" seemed reasonable.
Carefully, Su Xiuyu plucked the fruit and stored it in a rock box formed with his Earth Bending. Then, he slowly descended.
Passing through the wormhole this time felt effortless. He had even tamed a formidable-looking Kaiju to use as a mount, making his return trip far easier.
"Alert! Alert! A Level 5 Kaiju detected underwater!"
Sirens blared throughout the PPDC command center.
"Damn it! We've had peace for over six months, and now there's another Kaiju invasion?!"
Fortunately, out of caution, the world's governments had not yet disbanded the PPDC. Now, their Jaegers were being deployed once more.
Meanwhile, Su Xiuyu remained unaware of the chaos his actions had caused. He was focused solely on returning to the China. After spending half a year alone on an alien planet, he was eager to reunite with his companions.
Just as he surfaced from the ocean, a missile came flying toward him. Without hesitation, Su Xiuyu activated his Susanoo, catching the missile with one massive hand and hurling it away.
"Stop! It's me, Su Xiuyu!"
The Jaeger pilots, recognizing the golden Susanoo, realized their mistake. Upon closer inspection, they spotted Su Xiuyu standing atop the Kaiju.
"Apologies, Mr. Su!" one of them radioed. "Our detectors picked up a Kaiju signal, and we mistakenly assumed another invasion was underway. Please forgive our error."
"No problem," Su Xiuyu responded. "This Kaiju is my pet. It's under control, so there's no need for concern. I have important matters to attend to—I'll be leaving now."
Without waiting for a reply, he continued riding the Kaiju toward his base.
Though shaken, the PPDC personnel offered no objections. Su Xiuyu's overwhelming strength alone was enough to silence any doubts. Moreover, many among them owed him their lives. Repaying kindness with hostility would be sheer foolishness.
As soon as it was confirmed to be a false alarm, the forces stood down.
News of Su Xiuyu's return quickly spread worldwide via PPDC reports. Most nations treated it as a routine update, but those that had once tested his power were gripped with fear, breaking into cold sweats.
"Xiuyu, you're finally back!"
As soon as Uzumaki Mito saw him, she rushed forward, embracing him tightly. Since their first meeting, they had never been apart for so long.
"Ahem!" Madara Uchiha cleared his throat loudly, a not-so-subtle reminder that others were present.
Realizing this, Mito quickly released Su Xiuyu and composed herself, pretending nothing had happened.
"Xiuyu, you've been gone a long time. Should we return to the Ninja World?" Madara asked. "We've already gathered a good number of summoning beasts."
For the past six months, Madara had kept himself busy training with his Uchiha war fan and drilling their troops. He had also taught Uzumaki Asaoka several of the Uchiha clan's signature Fire Release techniques.
Instead of answering immediately, Su Xiuyu performed a small barrier jutsu, sealing the area from prying eyes. What he was about to reveal was too important to risk any eavesdropping—even in this chakra-less world.
"I successfully reached the other planet and obtained tremendous benefits," he declared. "What happens next stays between us. Understood, Mito, Madara, Izuna?"
Seeing the gravity in his expression, the three of them nodded solemnly.
Su Xiuyu then retrieved the chakra fruit from his rock container. At first glance, it looked like any ordinary fruit, but his serious demeanor told them otherwise.
He used his chakra to split the fruit into three portions. "One for each of you. Eat it now."
"Xiuyu, what about you?" Mito asked, frowning. "Where's your share?"
"Yeah, I was wondering the same thing," Madara added, his gaze sharp.
Izuna, too, looked at Su Xiuyu expectantly. "Why aren't you taking any?"
Su Xiuyu simply shook his head. "I don't need it yet. Don't argue—just eat."
Faced with his insistence, the three relented and consumed their portions. The moment they swallowed, a surge of chakra erupted within them, flooding their bodies with newfound power.
Thankfully, Su Xiuyu's barrier contained the outburst; otherwise, the sheer magnitude of their transformation would have undoubtedly alerted Wang Tao and the others.
Fifteen minutes later, the energy surge subsided, and the three of them regained their composure.
"What kind of fruit was that, Xiuyu?" Mito asked, her voice filled with awe. "I feel like my chakra has increased tenfold—almost as much as Hashirama's!"
------
"This is the Chakra Fruit. Its exact origin is unknown, but it possesses mysterious powers. The most complete Chakra Fruit can grant immortality—though the one you consumed falls short of that level."
"What?!" the three exclaimed in unison.
"Why split such a precious thing among us?" Mito questioned. "Wouldn't it be better if you ate a whole one and gained immortality?"
"Mito makes a good point," Izuna added. "Dividing something this powerful might weaken its effects, right?"
Madara stared at Su Xiuyu, barely believing what he had just done. He had casually divided an immensely valuable item among them without even keeping a portion for himself. Madara couldn't help but admire his generosity.
"This is too precious—I feel unworthy of it," Izuna admitted, his usual reserved nature slipping away for a moment.
"Don't worry. I know what I'm doing," Su Xiuyu reassured them. "This fruit is indeed rare. To put it in perspective, it's far more valuable than the Hokage title in Konoha. A Hokage's reign is temporary, but this fruit permanently enhances your strength. While it may not grant true immortality, living for thousands of years should be no problem."
"Thousands of years..." Mito's voice trembled as she clung to Su Xiuyu. She couldn't bear the thought of outliving him. "Then what about you, Xiuyu? Why didn't you keep a fruit for yourself?"
"Because I don't need it. I can already live for thousands of years." Su Xiuyu smiled, gently ruffling Mito's hair as if it were nothing.
Mito's mouth fell open in shock. She hadn't expected that answer. But Su Xiuyu offered no further explanation, and no one pressed him for more details.
Madara, who had once been Su Xiuyu's guiding force, now found himself overshadowed. As Su Xiuyu's strength skyrocketed, Madara could offer him less and less. In the past, Madara had viewed himself as an older brother figure, but now he felt inadequate in comparison.
"A long life gives you time to witness the world's wonders," Su Xiuyu continued. "But don't mistake longevity for happiness. You will experience countless partings and deaths. Still, you will have the time to see history unfold before your eyes. The Uchiha clan's history spans thousands of years, yet even the legend of the Sage of Six Paths only dates back a single millennium. Imagine what you will witness. Not only will you gain unparalleled strength, but you will also see the tides of history shift."
He smiled faintly. "So accept this gift. I can't walk this long road alone."
Su Xiuyu knew he was stepping into an infinite universe, and his journey had only just begun. Any lingering hesitation in his heart vanished.
---
Three days later, Uzumaki Mito, Uchiha Madara, and Uchiha Izuna had begun to digest the enhancements from the Chakra Fruit. Its lingering effects would continue to refine their bodies and chakra reserves. Remarkably, even Madara now had the potential to awaken Wood Release. The fruit had completed the missing genetic pieces within the Uchiha bloodline.
Beyond that, it granted all three of them an affinity for every chakra nature. The Uchiha clan had always excelled in Fire Release, but now Madara and Izuna would gradually master all elemental jutsu, including Yin-Yang Release. This was an undeniable power boost.
However, the most astonishing improvement lay in their physical attributes. In the world of shinobi, most fighters resembled assassins—capable of striking hard but lacking in durability. This was why the mortality rate among ninjas was so high. The Chakra Fruit had corrected this flaw, making them true warriors without weaknesses.
"Our business in this world is done for now," Su Xiuyu announced. "We leave for Konoha tomorrow. It's been nearly a year since we were last there."
The four of them lounged on the sunlit beaches of the southern coast in China, savoring a rare moment of peace.
"Once we return, things will get complicated again," Madara mused. "Senju Tobirama is especially talented when it comes to political maneuvering. Too bad nearly half his talent is wasted on suppressing the Uchiha."
Spending a year outside the ninja world had broadened Madara's perspective. He now understood concepts like power dynamics and strategy in ways he hadn't before. His speech had even lost its old-fashioned stiffness.
"Even if Tobirama offered me the Hokage title on a silver platter, I wouldn't care anymore," he admitted. "People are prisoners of their own perspectives. I was no different. Hashirama and I were among the strongest in the ninja world, yet we couldn't break free from the same old cycles. I was fixated on the Hokage seat because I couldn't see beyond it."
Madara turned to Su Xiuyu. "But now, like you, I have a broader vision. The only things that matter are the infinite world before us and the people we cherish. You, Izuna, and I will always be the guardians of the Uchiha, watching over its rise and fall through the ages."
"True," Izuna agreed. "Tobirama has always been against the Uchiha, but Xiu Yu and Mito, be careful—he might try to undermine the Uzumaki as well. Then again, I doubt he'd be that reckless. If he targeted both the Uchiha and the Uzumaki, he'd be pitting half of Konoha's power against himself. Unless he wants to split the village, he won't dare."
Su Xiuyu, however, cared less and less about Tobirama's machinations. He understood the man well—Tobirama had a keen grasp of Su Xiuyu's principles. He knew Su Xiuyu valued order above all else and wouldn't destroy an established system unless it directly threatened him.
Tobirama was clever. Even in his discrimination against the Uchiha, he always acted with plausible deniability, never leaving any glaring flaws in his approach. As long as his actions remained within those bounds, Su Xiuyu wouldn't bother shaking the foundations of Konoha for something so trivial.
But if Tobirama ever crossed the line... he wouldn't live to regret it.
