My Husband Is a Million Years Old Vampire-Chapter 32
Chapter 32: Chapter 32
It was as if the air had been sucked out of the room.
At that moment his knees wobbled slightly, and before anyone could register what was happening, he bowed Deep, and Respectfully.
"I’m terribly sorry," his voice quivered, laced with urgency and remorse.
"I deeply apologize for this misunderstanding. I—I didn’t realize who you were." His forehead nearly touched the counter as he remained in his lowered posture.
At that moment A thick, suffocating silence fell upon the entire space.
Every customer. Every staff member. Even Victoria herself was frozen in place, her smug expression slipping into one of confusion.
At the moment the manager gave landed on one of the staff.
"Go get me out exclusive items immediately."
Immediately the staff quickly ran towards the direction.
The murmurs began almost instantly.
"Did he just bow to her?"
"Why is the manager apologizing? I thought he was supposed to throw her out! Perhaps do something."
"What’s going on? Who the hell is she?"
Valentina remained still, her face unreadable. She didn’t need to say a word—the room was already descending into a spiral of hushed whispers and wide-eyed stares.
And Victoria?
Her jaw clenched, her hands curling into fists.
She had no idea what was happening.
But she hated it.
Gasps echoed through the room as the staff rushed off, leaving a wake of confusion behind. The other employees stood still, their expressions uncertain, eyes darting between the bowed manager and Valentina, whose face remained unreadable.
Even Valentina herself was unsure of what was happening. Was this just an attempt to appease her after the blatant disrespect she had just suffered? Or was there something else at play?
Her fingers instinctively brushed against the emerald ring, but before she could dwell on it, the sound of hurried footsteps pulled her attention forward.
The murmurs around them grew louder.
"What’s going on? Why are they treating her like royalty?"
"Wait, is she some secret VIP? and we know nothing about it"
Even Victoria, who had been watching with arms crossed, stiffened.
Her patience snapped.
"What the hell is this?" she sneered.
"Why is she getting special treatment?!"
But no one dared to answer her. All eyes remained on Valentina as she stared at the case
The first staff member returned, breathless, carrying a velvet case—a VIP-exclusive case.
She held it with both hands, as if it contained something sacred.
then she handed it over to the manager.
Immediately Victoria’s face twisted with disbelief, her voice laced with frustration as she pointed at the velvet case in the manager’s hands.
"Are you out of your mind?" she snapped, her sharp gaze cutting through the silence. "Do you even realize what you’re offering her?! That item isn’t even for sale! It’s a treasure of this company! It has never been sold to anyone—not even your top VIP members! And now you’re just giving it to her?!"
Gasps spread through the room as Victoria’s words sank in. The gathered crowd murmured in shock.
"A million-dollar piece... as a gift?"
"This has to be a mistake..."
Even Valentina was caught off guard. She had expected an apology—yes—but this?
Immediately Victoria Her brows furrowed even more.
She eyed the manager, searching for an explanation, but his expression remained composed. With his head still lowered in reverence, he carefully extended the case toward her.
"Miss Valentina, please accept this as a token of our utmost apology," he said, his tone steady despite the weight of the moment.
"We deeply regret the misunderstanding that took place here today."
Immediately Victoria took a step forward, her fists clenching at her sides.
"This must be a joke," she hissed. "Why her? What makes her so special?"
But no one answered.
Victoria’s face burned with frustration as she clenched her fists, barely containing her anger. Her voice dripped with disbelief as she turned sharply to the manager again.
"You’re seriously telling me you’re gifting out an item the company doesn’t even sell, to someone like her?!" she seethed. "If it’s not for sale, then why the hell are you giving it to her? What makes her so special?!"
However the manager remained silent, his expression unreadable. But deep down, his mind raced as a long-buried memory resurfaced.
It had been over ten years ago, back when he was newly employed. The owner of the company had called a special meeting with all senior staff. In that meeting, he had presented one very specific ring—the exact emerald ring that now sat on Valentina’s finger.
His words had been clear, unwavering.
"This ring is a symbol. Should you ever see someone wearing it, that person must be treated with the highest level of respect. Whatever they desire—whatever they ask for—will be theirs. No exceptions. No questions asked."
At the time, the manager hadn’t thought much of it. After all, what were the chances of ever encountering someone who actually possessed such a ring?
Yet, here it was.
On Valentina’s hand.
Immediately his throat felt dry, but he remained silent, his body instinctively straightening as he held his composure.
Victoria, however, wasn’t finished.
"Why aren’t you saying anything?!" she demanded, her voice rising. "Explain yourself!"
But the manager still said nothing.
Because at that moment, he understood something far greater than Victoria ever could.
The manager took a slow, measured breath, forcing himself to keep his composure. He had already made his decision—there was nothing Victoria could say to change that.
"Miss Victoria," he began evenly, "Mrs Valentina was mistreated when she arrived. She selected these items first, and yet, they were taken from her unlawfully by you. The company acknowledges this mistake, and we intend to make amends. That is why we are offering her one of our most special items as an apology."
Victoria’s eyes flared with rage. "Bullshit!" she shouted, her voice echoing through the luxurious showroom. Several onlookers turned, their whispers rising as they took in the dramatic confrontation.
"You think I’m a child?!" Victoria sneered.
"Do you actually expect me to believe this nonsense?! That’s not the real reason!" Her accusing eyes locked onto Valentina before flicking back to the manager. "You’re playing favorites! You’re either screwing her behind closed doors, or—" she laughed mockingly, shaking her head, "—you went out of your way to buy this damn thing yourself just to hand it to her and act like it’s from the company!"
Hearing what Victoria just said the manager’s jaw tightened, his patience wearing thin.
"Miss Victoria, I assure you—"
"Shut up!"
