My Love Debts Are Everywhere!-Chapter 629: The Awakening of Evil God Consciousness and Its Frightening Power
"You've lost, Guren Lewyn..."
"Argh!" Guren cried out, trying to pull his hand away from Leon's foot—but he failed.
The pressure was immense, like an iron bar pressing into his arm.
Fury erupted within him as he glared at Leon with hatred. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
"Damn you, Leon! Did you really think I'd go down that easily?!"
As soon as the words left his mouth, he clenched his left fist. In an instant, dark power burst from his body.
*Boom!*
The explosion surged upward and swept away everything nearby.
But Leon stood unfazed—calm and composed, as if the blast hadn't touched him.
He brought his middle and index fingers together and pressed them against Guren's chest.
A moment later, the dark power scattered, as if blown away by the wind.
Guren's eyes widened in disbelief.
"How did you do that?!" he asked, his voice trembling with fear.
Leon simply smiled, offering no explanation.
The truth was simple—he had sealed the source of the dark power.
During their previous fight, he quietly observed how the power flowed through Guren's body.
Just as he suspected, its flow resembled both his own holy power and chaos power.
By sealing the source, he could suppress the dark power entirely.
Seeing Leon ignore his question, Guren's hatred only deepened—but there was nothing he could do.
He was completely vulnerable and couldn't even begin to fight back.
Still, the bitterness gnawed at him. He couldn't accept losing to the one person he despised most in the world.
Suddenly—
*Whoosh!*
A streak of black light shot out from Leon's right.
Startled, Leon instinctively leapt back to dodge it—giving Guren just enough time to escape.
He rolled to the side and quickly got to his feet, a triumphant smile playing on his lips.
"Who was that?" Leon asked cautiously, eyes narrowing toward the source of the attack.
"Hahaha! That must be the Evil God's consciousness!" Guren's laughter echoed from ahead, leaving Leon momentarily stunned.
"The Evil God's consciousness?" Leon gave him a sharp look. "What are you talking about?"
Guren crossed his arms, a look of smug satisfaction on his face.
"Leon Kruger, I never imagined time would make you dumber," he sneered. "Did you really think I fought just to beat you?"
Leon's eyes widened, a sense of dread rising in his chest.
"You mean..."
Before he could finish, Guren let out a quiet laugh and cut him off.
"Yes, exactly. I didn't fight you just to win—I fought to help the Evil God's consciousness break free."
"You..." Leon's face twisted in anger. He clenched his teeth. "How did you do it?"
He hadn't expected something like this to unfold behind his back. How could he have been so careless?
But truthfully, it wasn't entirely his fault. He had no idea why Guren had appeared, let alone what his true purpose was.
On top of that, he knew nothing about the Evil God's consciousness—its location, its condition, or how it could be freed from the seal.
Most importantly, he was completely unaware of any connection between Guren and the Evil God's consciousness. So, he never could've seen this coming.
"I was honestly too lazy to explain," Guren said with a faint smile. "But now that my plan has succeeded, I've changed my mind. The Evil God's consciousness was never truly sealed—it was simply lying dormant, waiting for the right moment to awaken."
"And the key to that awakening... is to inflict a fatal wound on the World Tree Spirit. That condition was fulfilled long ago. Only one requirement remained—the seal could only be broken by someone who possesses dark power."
He shrugged and continued casually, "And that someone... is me. So, during our battle, my attacks weren't just meant to defeat you—they were also aimed at breaking that seal. And now, it worked. I may have failed to kill you, but it doesn't matter anymore."
"The Evil God's consciousness is fully awakened. The Elven race—and you—will be annihilated! Hahaha!"
His triumphant laughter echoed across the area, stoking Leon's rage to its limit.
"Damn you, Guren!" Leon roared, lunging forward and smashing his fist into Guren's face.
Without pause, he tackled Guren to the ground and beat him mercilessly.
*Bang!*
*Bang!*
*Bang!*
Each strike hit harder than the one before, leaving Guren's face swollen and smeared with blood. Dark bruises bloomed across his skin, and blood dripped from the corner of his mouth.
Yet there wasn't a trace of anger or regret on his face.
"Hahaha! It's useless, Leon. You've already lost. No matter how hard you hit me, the truth won't change!" Guren laughed mockingly.
"You..." Leon growled through clenched teeth, filled with rage.
Just as he raised his fist to strike again, something massive suddenly shot toward him.
A giant black hand appeared out of nowhere—and before Leon could react—
*Boom!*
The force sent his body flying nearly two hundred meters before he crashed violently into the ground.
"Agh..." Leon groaned, clutching his aching chest. "Damn... Was that the Evil God's consciousness?"
He looked up, and sure enough, a tall man with long black hair slowly emerged from the mist.
He stood tall and broad-shouldered, his face unnervingly handsome—but his pitch-black eyes radiated a fear that pierced straight through the soul.
His presence was so overpowering that the air around Leon grew thick and suffocating.
The man—the Evil God's consciousness—stopped beside Guren. He reached down and helped him to his feet.
"Thank you for freeing me, Guren. Don't worry—I'll reward you handsomely later."
Guren grinned, wiping the blood from his lips. "You're welcome, Evil God."
Then he turned to Leon with a cold, contemptuous stare.
"Now then... there's someone we need to eliminate. He's the one I told you about—the Fated One."
"Oh?" The Evil God's eyebrows lifted slightly as his gaze settled on Leon. "I sense both holy power and chaos power within him... how unusual."
A flicker of surprise crossed his eyes—but only for a moment. His expression soon returned to one of cold arrogance.
"Still, he's weak. Like an ant. He poses no threat to me."
"Hahaha! Exactly, Evil God!" Guren laughed in delight. "He's nothing but an insect before your greatness."
For the first time, he truly felt victorious over Leon, and the sensation filled him with ecstatic joy.
Seeing Leon's pale face, Guren's excitement grew so intense that his body trembled.
Meanwhile, Leon clenched his teeth at the ridicule and arrogance, but he didn't act impulsively.
He could feel it clearly—the being before him was far more powerful than the Evil God he had once destroyed while healing the dragon ancestor.
This time… the Evil God had truly awakened.
Slowly, Leon rose to his feet and unleashed his dragon aura. Then, without warning, he shot forward, his fist raised high.
His speed was astonishing—so fast that Guren stood frozen in shock. But to the Evil God, the movement was agonizingly slow.
Before Leon's fist could land, his body froze in midair—suspended as if by an invisible force.
The Evil God calmly clenched his left fist and drove it into Leon's stomach with a devastating blow.
*Boom!*
Leon's body shot backward like a cannonball, crashing through the air.
But the Evil God gave him no chance to recover. In the blink of an eye, he vanished—only to reappear directly in front of Leon, who was still airborne.
Without a word, he crashed into Leon's body with overwhelming force.
*Boom!*
The impact unleashed a raging sandstorm in every direction, carving a massive crater twenty meters deep into the earth.
Guren, watching from a distance, swallowed hard. His face had turned pale.
"Wh-What terrifying power..." he muttered, his voice trembling.
He had known the Evil God was powerful—but this level of dominance left him shaken.
Leon's sudden attack—which had appeared as fast as lightning to him—was effortlessly stopped midair, and Leon was swatted aside like a fly.
As the sandstorm gradually faded, Leon's battered figure became visible within the massive crater.
Once proud and dignified, he now looked broken and worn.
His torn robes revealed a muscular torso marked with bruises and wounds.
Blood trickled from the corners of his lips and forehead, while his black hair hung in tangled, dust- and blood-streaked strands.
"Ahem!" Leon coughed loudly as he struggled to rise, but before he could fully stand, the Evil God suddenly materialized before him.
Without hesitation, he grabbed Leon by the neck, hoisted him high, then drove a devastating blow into his stomach, sending Leon's body soaring into the sky.
In the blink of an eye, the Evil God reappeared in front of Leon and unleashed another punch.
This time, Leon was ready. He pressed his palms together.
*Buzz!*
In an instant, dragon ribs emerged, wrapping his body in a protective shield.
But to his shock, the protective ribs shattered into fragments under the force of the Evil God's strike.
"What!?" Leon gasped, barely reacting before the blow slammed into his chest, sending him tumbling violently until he crashed into the ground, crushing it beneath him.
Leon lay helpless and gasping for breath.
Seconds later, his body began to glow with a brilliant white light before dissolving into shimmering particles that drifted slowly into the sky.
The Evil God descended gracefully beside Guren, who was still wide-eyed and stunned.
"Let's go. It's time the world tastes pain and chaos," the Evil God said, his voice calm and unbothered.
Snapping out of his shock, Guren nodded eagerly.
"Hahaha! Let's go, Evil God!"
With that, their figures vanished into the mist-shrouded silence.
