My Wife is a Dead Villainess, and I'm Her Living Weapon-Chapter 34: Same
Chapter 34 - Same
"NOOO!!! CHARLIE!!!!!" She screamed.
"SERA! ARGGHHH!!! LET HER GO!!!!" A swordsman roared.
KRAUA! KRAUA! KRAUA!
It was chaos. Sera knew it would be hard. The rules made sure of it. Despite doing their absolute best, they were going to die today in this nameless desert few dared to enter.
Why would they? This place was home to Desert Sting. An A-Rank Scorpion monster that was as large as a small hill. One of the renegade monsters humanity tracked but never killed. Many were traumatized by the relentless sound it made.
I haven't even had my first kiss yet! I can't die here!
With tears in her eyes, Sera began to smash her staff onto the hard claw that grabbed her. But as a priest, she lacked the power to save herself. Despite hiring mercenaries to protect her, the Desert Claw still managed to seize her.
Its stinger which lingered at arm's length, made Sera's party pause.
At least, until the situation turned truly desperate. Mana powered arrows began to fall from the sky. A red-hot stream of energy shot out and slammed against the monster's face. The barrage stunned it and caused the scorpion to reel back.
KRAUA! KRAUA! KRAUA!
"BRIDGET, RYNER! STOP! YOU ARE GOING TO HIT SERA!"
"WE HAVE TO ATTACK CHARLIE! OTHERWISE, WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE HERE!"
Then it swung its claw to protect its face. Naturally it was the one that clutched Sera in its grip. As the Desert sting waved her around, she noticed its eyes were slanted upward, almost as if it was enjoying the sight of the party falling apart.
Sera saw her childhood friend, Charlie, grimace. She knew he had feelings—but she didn't, so she played dumb.
"CHARLIE! KILL IT! I CAN CAST PROTECT ON MYSELF!" she screamed at the top of her lungs.
The Desert Claw was not feared because it was strong. Few faced it as it was immensely intelligent. It used one's allies as shields and even hostages.
"NO! WE CAN STILL SAVE YOU!" he answered.
"SCREW THIS! FELLAS LET'S BOOK IT!" The mercenary leader roared.

At his command his men all turned around and ran. They abandoned Sera's party without even looking back. They weren't even official Breakers. They didn't care what happened next.
Charlie, already desperate, cried frantically for them to stay. "WAIT! WE ALREADY PAID YOU! COME BACK!"
"Not enough to die for you."
"No..." A soft sigh escaped Sera's lips. She knew that it was already the end. So long as she was still alive, Charlie would waver, causing their entire party to die. The priest drew the dagger hidden on her forearm and placed it before her throat.
I hope Charlie finds a woman to make him happy someday. Please forget about me.
"NOOOO!!!! SERA PLEASE NO!!!!!"
And then at that moment, Sera stopped, her ears heard a powerful rumble. It was the sound of thunder, like those from a gigantic cannon. When she turned her head, she saw it.
A dark colored figure moving at supersonic speeds. She could not make out what it was, only something cutting apart the very air. Then before she could understand it rushed past her.
GROOOOOOOO!!!!
"WHAT WAS THAT?"
"STAY ON GUARD!"
"KYA!!!!" Sera screamed as she fell onto the ground.
The Scorpion's claw that held her shattered. A sharp sound of its tough carapace cracking resounded, vicious fluids doused out of the wounds as the monster roared!
"W-What?"
She couldn't comprehend what just had happened. In a split second the entire situation turned on its head. All caused by the black shadow. Freed from her captivity she rose only to hear the same rumbling. And then she was blown away by a catastrophic impact.
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!
And then silence.
Picking herself up the priest used her staff as a crutch, "T-The KRAUA-ing stopped?"
Sera then saw a sight she would never forget. A black knight shouldered a weapon five sizes too big for him. He looked down on the devastated corpse, split cleanly in two. What should've been her murderer now lay dead. It couldn't even mount any resistance at it died in a mere second.
What rank is he S? No, he is too powerful. Maybe SS or even SSS. But are there unregistered breakers at that rank?
As she trembled in fear, the knight turned to face her, weapon drawn. Sera gazed at her savior, but the priest couldn't feel relief, only terror. For the knight stared at her like one gazes at a bug. With an air of superiority only the truly powerful could exhibit.
Heaven help us.

"Hahaha! Look at that cut! A work of art if I do say so myself!"
"Stop it, Elian." Bianca rebuked. "Focus more on the other humans leaving your back exposed to them is dangerous."
"How? Didn't they almost die to this thing? I killed it in like two moves."
"That's because your techniques are suicidal!"
Not offended by Bianca's quips, Elian tried to find the core as he commented, "I wonder how it tastes. It felt stronger than a Soldier Ant at least."
"You are way too laid back with regards to humans, Elian! They are evil! Anyway enough! Either kill them or talk to them, just deal with them already!"
Elian nodded. Given what he knew of her history, he understood her reservations. Bianca was far more powerful than he was, and yet she still almost died. Getting full of himself was dangerous.
I am glad I have Bianca. Should I just kill all the humans after all?
Elian turned around and gripped his weapon. Although its size was ridiculous, he didn't have any issue handling it. When trying to scare people, the most important parts were shock value. So he didn't shrink his weapon and instead used it as a show piece.
Hmm?
A girl in priest robes came closer, but her face was pale. As if she had seen a ghost.
"System, scan."

"Weak."
Elian scanned the others, and they were all in the same boat. All their stats showed F even though their levels were higher. Thus while they might have been strong, to him they were all quite pathetic.
Male Shielder, Charlie. Female Priest, Sera. Male Mage, Ryner. Female Archer, Bridget. Good balanced party.
"Bianca, they are all Peak Dusk, the shielder even is at Low Radiant. Can you please just tell me what they mean now?"
"Maybe later. I do not want to share incorrect information. It's an archaic term they phased out even before I died. I will let you know when we connect to a city's network."
"Sigh, fine."
Elian took a step forward. The ground rumbled. In panic the entire party raised their weapons—all except one. Sera dashed forward, throwing herself between them.
"Everyone, listen to me, whatever you do, do not attack this knight. You all know my Talent, right? This knight is dangerous."
The female ranger pulled her bow back. Her eyes watched Elian like a hawk, but everyone could see her arm was shaking. Despite knowing it was futile, she raised her weapon.
"Sera, did you see what he did? If he swings that sword, we are all going to die."
"Bridget's right. I never heard of an SSS-Ranked breaker hiding in this area. We have to investigate."
Even Charlie raised his shield and kept his guard up. He inched forward, tense.
"Sera, I know he saved you, but my instincts are screaming for us to run, get behind me. Now."
Bianca's scornful voice echoed for Elian's ears alone.
"Hmph, weaklings. How dare they raise arms against the very weapon who saved them. Ungrateful, vile lowlife scum sired from treachery and suckled on deceit. We should just end them, now."
At Bianca's command, Elian swung his sword down. It stabbed the earth and made the ground shake. All the humans were knocked off their feet by Elian's harmless act.
So weak...
Sera rushed forward and slammed her head to the ground.
"MY LORD! PLEASE FORGIVE US! STAY YOUR HAND AND PLEASE BE CONTENT WITH MY LIFE!"
Charlie, came forward to retort, "Sera what are you saying?"
"SHUT UP! KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN AND LET ME TALK," the priest snarled back.
Seeing the drastic cry of the breaker, Elian paused. It looked exactly like Tessa did a while back.
Bianca's voice cooed in satisfaction, "Fufu, at least her eyes are good. Congratulations, Elian. You are now on the same level as I am."
