Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast-Chapter 754: Chen Chus Fate (III)
Chapter 754: Chen Chu's Fate (III)
Inside a towering palace shrouded in black demonic qi, over a hundred figures in the Ninth Demonic Mark stood on either side of a chamber. At the center, two figures radiating demon-king-level auras stood tall and imposing.
On the throne at the head sat a three-meter-tall woman with purple hair and a voluptuous figure clad in red battle armor. She lounged lazily, her form resembling that of a human, though her presence was anything but. When she spoke, her tone was languid.
"Moss, that pitiful guy, was killed by an alien that had cultivated a slaughter law?"
The demon king below her bowed respectfully. "Yes, Lord Tarorya. In addition, the alien had also slain Clore, who was there to investigate Prince Alekrial’s death.
"Using the Demon God's Eye, we've observed that the aura emitted by that alien is estimated to be at the middle stage of the mythical level. He is currently riding a hellish domain toward Demon King Scott’s city.
"Judging by his movements, this alien harbors deep hatred toward our Purgatory Clan. He’s likely a survivor from some alien race we wiped out in the past."
Tarorya licked her lips with a lazy smile, her demeanor seductive. "Marching forward so openly, without any attempt to conceal himself... He clearly doesn’t think much of the Purgatory Clan. But for him to slay two late-stage demon kings so swiftly that they had no chance to escape... his strength must be exceptional.
"Although he seems to only be in the middle stage of the mythical level, his combat power clearly exceeds that. At minimum, he’s comparable to a beginning-stage great demon king. This gap in strength is rare even within our own kind.
"As expected, those aliens unwilling to submit to us must be rooted out completely, to prevent future threats." At this point, Tarorya sat up slightly, her gaze turning cold.
As she sat upright, her already striking figure became even more imposing. Her chest rose like twin mountains, commanding attention and radiating a suffocating sense of power.
Her cold gaze swept over the hall below. "At present, His Majesties Deorus and Kaodes are both at the front lines. Tuckus and I are holding the southern and northern demonic regions, and cannot leave easily.
"So for now, we’ll send Erebor. As a middle-stage great demon king, he should be able to suppress that alien, but capturing him may still be a stretch, so the outcome isn't guaranteed."
After reaching the mythical level, even small differences between realms resulted in massive gaps in combat power. However, while someone of a higher minor realm could easily defeat someone lower, actually killing them was still another matter.
After all, burning one’s origin could instantly multiply strength several times over. Combined with certain special secret arts and divine abilities, it meant that to truly keep such an opponent from escaping, one had to completely overpower them.
Tarorya coldly said, "Kudo, go to the secret vault and retrieve the weapon from the Golden Scale Race to give to Erebor. Have him go to Demon King Scott’s city and suppress that alien god."
"Yes, my lord." Another demon king bowed respectfully below.
Tarorya continued. "Inform Tuckus to summon five demon kings for a blood sacrifice. They must annihilate that alien god."
The Purgatory Clan reacted swiftly; after estimating Chen Chu's "true” combat power, they quickly made their move. Led by a middle-stage great demon king holding an alien weapon, the six other demon kings, including the one Chen Chu was currently targeting, prepared to strike with their full force.
With the order of the Dark Abyss Princess, who ruled over the demonic region more than two million kilometers away, the overwhelming pressure of a great demon king erupted from a demonic castle perched atop a towering mountain over seven hundred thousand kilometers away from Chen Chu.
Clouds churned in the sky above, forming a vast vortex. At its center, a blood-red eye slowly opened, resonating with the distant blood sacrifice. A pillar of crimson light then surged upward, piercing the heavens.
Boom!
The pillar enveloped a massive figure that tore through the void, and then vanished from sight.
Across the vast southern region, five other demonic eyes pierced through the void in different directions, guided by the blood sacrifice formation.
Roughly 130,000 kilometers from Demon King Moss' city, spanning two forbidden zones, black mist-like demonic qi drifted through the air. Jagged mountains stretched endlessly, the ground lay fractured, and the forests grew in warped, unnatural shapes.
At an altitude of several thousand meters, a vast and imposing demon king city stretched across hundreds of kilometers. Both within and beyond its walls, armies of demonized aliens stood guard. The atmosphere was heavy and grim, a sharp contrast to the once lively and bustling city Moss had ruled over.
Demonic clouds churned over this city as well, forming six enormous dark vortices, with a massive blood-red eye at the center of each.
On the ground, a massive blood sacrifice formation spanning several dozen kilometers was being activated. Within it, the blood extracted from the slaughter of tens of thousands of high-level colossal beasts flowed freely, releasing a thick stench that resonated with the demonic eyes looming in the sky.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Several blood-red beams, each hundreds of meters wide, tore through the void and descended from the sky, striking the heart of the blood sacrifice formation. The world shook violently, and as the crimson light faded, six towering figures emerged from within the glow.
At the forefront stood a towering figure over a hundred meters tall, despite not being in his true form. He wore ornate black and gold armor, and his face was covered in fine black and gold scales. Sixteen sharp demonic horns rose from his head like a crown, radiating a menacing aura.
What stood out most was the orb he held—a golden sphere, ten meters in diameter, covered in shimmering scales. Intense and overwhelming energy fluctuations emanated inside as if it contained a world on the verge of exploding, causing the surrounding void to tremble continuously.
At the edge of the blood sacrifice formation, a demon king, standing fifty meters tall with a pair of bat wings on his back, respectfully said, "Erebor, my lord, thank you and everyone else for coming to assist."
Erebor nodded slightly, then coldly said, "Scott, where is that alien god?"
Scott answered, "From the message we received from the Demon God's Eye, the alien has already entered our territory. With his speed, he should arrive in about two star-quarters[1].”
The Demon God's Eye was a unique forbidden weapon of the Purgatory Clan. Each eye was believed to be formed from the eyes of the Demon Gods of the Empire. It possessed the ability to conduct macro-observations, allowing it to see all territories within the empire tainted by demonic qi.
Completely unmasked moves like Chen Chu’s were immediately detected by the Empire’s intelligence department, which quickly located his movements and prepared accordingly.
Another summoned demon king expressed some confusion. "This alien’s race was once destroyed by our clan. It should have some understanding of our power, so why is it acting so recklessly?"
A demon king with six demonic horns on his head sneered in disdain. "Perhaps it thinks its power is invincible now. After all, for these eradicated races, the power of a great demon king is already unimaginable.”
Erebor, with an indifferent expression, said, "This alien is either ignorant and fearless, foolish, or has some powerful being backing him up. But no matter what, this will be his grave."
For Erebor, a middle-stage great demon king who held a weapon from the Golden Scale Race, it didn’t matter what tricks that alien god had. After all, this alien's cultivation was only at the middle stage of the mythical level.
Even within the Purgatory Clan, possessing the combat power of a beginning-stage great demon king while at the middle stage of the mythical level was already extremely rare. Only those top-level freaks and direct descendants of demon gods could achieve this.
However, Erebor was confident that no matter what trump cards the alien god had, its only way to win was to escape. He didn’t believe that the alien, with its middle-stage mythical-level cultivation, could unleash combat strength as powerful as a middle-stage great demon king.
Even if the alien truly had such monstrous power, it would be no different from Erebor himself, who held a racial weapon.
"Let’s go. We’ll wait for him outside the city. Spread out in different directions, and prevent his escape by setting up the demon formation with the forbidden weapons we brought."
"Understood."
Seven ominous auras surged into the sky, stirring up rolling clouds that quickly appeared outside the city. Then, the six demon kings concealed their auras and vanished into the black clouds above, leaving only Erebor standing in mid-air, coldly gazing ahead.
About an hour later, a red light appeared in the distance on the horizon, surging and sweeping forward like a red tide that swallowed the earth. Eventually, it turned into a blood-red sky and stopped more than twenty kilometers away.
Black demonic clouds churned around Erebor, and his voice was cold and deep. "Alien god, you should feel honored to have me personally take action and kill you. Before you die, state your name."
"What's this? You want to know my name, so you can use causality-based forbidden weapons to curse me?"
The voice reverberated through the heavens and earth, and the blood-red mist swirled apart, unveiling Chen Chu’s figure. Standing ten meters tall with dragon-like horns on his head, he looked at Erebor, whose aura was shrouded in mystery.
With a cold expression, he said, "But no matter, I will tell you. I am Li Ritian of the Celestial Demon Clan."
The Celestial Demon Clan?
Hearing this, Erebor and the other demon kings above the clouds paused for a moment in confusion. They didn’t seem to recall the Empire ever destroying a race with such a name.
However, the moment of doubt quickly faded, and a wave of demon-king-level aura exploded from their bodies. Six enormous dark stone steles descended from the sky and crashed into the earth, resembling towering mountains as they shattered a two-hundred-kilometer area.
Boom!
