Chapter 45 - 43: The Infamous Sexy Jutsu Makes Its Grand Entrance
Hokage's Office.
Kakashi had come to see the Hokage, intending to discuss taking on a B-rank mission. But the old man had another problem on his hands. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
"Grandpa Hokage!"
"No." Hiruzen's expression was deadpan.
"Ugh, then I have no choice but to unleash my secret weapon! This is a jutsu I developed myself. It definitely deserves a place in the Book of Creation! Watch closely!"
"..."
'That voice... is it Naruto?'
Kakashi blinked in surprise. 'He actually created something?'
'Guess you really can't judge a book by its cover...'
Curiosity got the better of him, and Kakashi opened the door to take a look at Naruto's "original" jutsu.
The moment he walked in, he saw Naruto forming hand signs.
Immediately, chakra gathered around him.
"This kid's chakra reserves are insane," Kakashi thought. He was just processing that when, in the next moment, Naruto's body transformed.
Poof!
"Grandpa Hokage~"
Hiruzen collapsed backward off his chair on the spot. Kakashi fared slightly better. He quickly covered his eyes and struck a "can't unsee that" pose to avoid the full blast.
A moment later
"Naruto! Don't you dare perform that kind of ridiculous jutsu in front of the Hokage!" Iruka smacked Naruto to the floor with a solid punch.
Naruto bounced back up, sulking, "How is this a ridiculous jutsu? Grandpa Hokage fainted! That means it's super powerful!"
"Naruto, that doesn't count as a real jutsu innovation," Hiruzen said, sitting upright again, looking properly stern.
"No way! No one's ever used something like this before! It has to be original!" Naruto protested loudly.
Iruka looked like he was about to blow a fuse again, but then Kakashi stepped forward.
"It's just a Transformation Jutsu with a... creative twist. Other people can do it. They just don't want to turn into something that dumb."
Naruto glared. "Who even are you?!"
"Kids who haven't graduated yet shouldn't interrupt adults doing actual work." Kakashi's tone was cold.
Iruka quickly bowed.
"My apologies, Lord Hokage. Naruto... I'll discipline him properly. Sorry for the trouble."
With that, he dragged the still-squabbling Naruto out of the room.
Kakashi and Hiruzen sat in silence for a while.
If Kushina ever found out her son turned out like that, she'd probably take them all out.
Kakashi's hand trembled slightly as he reached for his pouch. She'd definitely think he was the bad influence.
He paused for a few seconds.
Then Hiruzen cleared his throat. "So, Kakashi, what brings you here?"
"Right, I came to recommend my team for a B-rank mission. I believe they're ready."
Kakashi pushed the earlier nonsense from his mind. There was no use in dwelling. What matters now is the team's development.
B-rank missions meant actual combat.
Rookies typically weren't allowed near them.
But Hiruzen considered it. "Garou might be ready, but the other two... though, if you're confident, I'll approve it."
He wrote up a clearance slip.
Kakashi took it and turned to leave but hesitated.
In the end, he spoke up. "Lord Hokage, I'm not sure I'll be able to mentor Naruto next year. Please... keep an eye on him."
"That jutsu... well, I guess it's good he's trying something new."
"Ahem, yes, I'll keep a closer watch." Hiruzen blushed faintly.
To be honest, he hadn't... done that sort of thing in a long time. Naruto's technique definitely had nothing to do with him. Thankfully, not many people still in the village knew of it.
He felt both relieved and a little ashamed.
Kakashi left with a complicated expression.
...
"Wasn't that the kid from the lower years?" Tenten whispered.
"Yeah, Naruto. He's got energy and talents, just maybe pointed in the wrong direction," Garou Zenin chuckled.
He didn't catch the full story, but judging from Iruka dragging Naruto away while lecturing him, he probably just debuted his infamous Sexy Jutsu, in front of the Hokage no less.
A legendary moment missed.
Garou shook his head in regret.
"What is it?" Kasumi asked quietly.
She wasn't one for public chatting but had sharp eyes. She noticed the subtle change in Garou's expression.
"Nothing. I just felt like something really entertaining happened."
Just then, a chakra pulse swept through the area as Kakashi appeared in front of them with a teleport.
He handed a slip to Hiraga.
Hiraga glanced it over, then handed Kakashi a list of B-rank missions with a conflicted look.
Kakashi turned to Garou. "Take a look."
"Me? Alright then." Garou stepped forward and skimmed the list.
There were missions spanning the Land of Fire, Land of Hot Water, Land of Rivers, and more, mostly smaller countries.
One entry quickly caught his eye.
"This one, sensei."
"Assisting in the capture of a fugitive from the Land of Iron? Hiraga, why is this here? Normally, that would be handled by the Anbu."
Kakashi frowned.
Capturing rogue fighters was an Anbu job. Posting it openly like this was unusual.
"That mission wasn't issued by the Land of Iron itself. It came from the Kiyotani Clan. The client is already here in the village," Hiraga explained.
"A private request from a clan?"
Kakashi was surprised.
"The fugitive is likely a retainer of the Kiyotani Clan. They possibly stole weapons or secret sword techniques. That's why they issued a personal bounty. Strange though," Kasumi murmured.
Both the Hatake and Gekko clans had samurai backgrounds, so she was familiar with such customs. Normally, the Land of Iron itself would intervene in such matters.
"They probably took something they can't let the authorities find," Garou said.
"Most likely. And if he escaped the Kiyotani household, he's no slouch. This mission could be dangerous. Think carefully before accepting," Kakashi warned, tapping the table lightly.
The team fell silent.
Garou looked at Tenten and Kasumi.
Seeing neither object, he smiled. "Your call. I'll back whatever you decide."
"I'm curious about the Land of Iron's swordsmanship... but what if this mission drags us into some bigger mess?" Tenten muttered.
"Kiyotani Clan," Kasumi added, keeping it brief but pointed.
"That's not something you two need to worry about," Garou said. "You're both interested in Land of Iron's sword techniques, right?"
They nodded in unison.
Garou looked back at Kakashi. "So, sensei, are we taking it?"
Kakashi smiled faintly. "As a Leaf ninja, this isn't my jurisdiction. But as someone who still has certain responsibilities... yeah, we'll take it. Hiraga, arrange a meeting with the client."
