Naruto: Unlocking Kaido Template-Chapter 213
Chapter 213 - 213
Seeing Doflamingo retreating, Zixu didn't bother chasing him—he didn't even know where to chase him to.
He gave the tightly bound Sasori a pat. This guy was a valuable asset to Roran. His puppet mastery was second to none. If Zixu could convince him, Roran's giant puppets would gain a tremendous boost in strength.
There was no rush to return now. Sky City had landed and no longer needed to rely on Flame Cloud. Since they planned to establish communication and trade with other nations, staying temporarily in the Land of Wind was the perfect opportunity.
"Let's send these puppets back first. Kankuro's going to lose his mind with excitement." Zixu handed the sealing scroll containing the puppets to Rossinanti, telling him to stay alert while he took Sasori and left.
The Land of Wind lived up to its name. Year-round gales swept through the desert terrain, creating endless sandstorms. With shifting dunes and poor visibility, one wrong move could get someone hopelessly lost in the sea of sand.
But for Zixu, this was child's play. He moved through the terrain like he was walking a paved road, not even flinching as sand and grit pelted his body.
"It's honestly insane to build a nation in a place like this..." Zixu muttered, genuinely puzzled. Nothing but howling winds, broken rocks, and barren sand surrounded him. Vegetation was scarce, water even scarcer. There wasn't a damn thing here worth fighting over.
He didn't run into a single village or person on the way. He arrived back at the top of Roran without issue.
"Maybe there used to be villages, and they've just been buried under centuries of storms..." Zixu glanced at the fine grains underfoot. Without knowing this was Roran, he'd never guess this was anything more than ordinary desert sand.
Once inside, he found Sara organizing a full-scale operation. Countless miniature puppets poured from the body of a massive puppet, swarming the area to collect minerals and ferry them back like worker ants.
Finding her looking visibly anxious, Zixu dropped the bound Sasori behind him and approached.
"What's up with you? You look like you've seen a ghost."
Wiping the sweat from her brow, Sara approached with a serious expression.
"Perfect timing, Zixu. Something big's about to go down. Roran needs energy—fast."
"Something big?" Zixu frowned. He could sense it wasn't just nerves.
"There's a high possibility of war. All the nations are building up their forces. We're detecting huge chakra spikes in multiple locations. Some unknown force is mobilizing, and they're not being subtle."
Zixu's eyes narrowed. This wasn't some minor flare-up. The sudden emergence of Uzushiogakure already made the others uneasy, but at least his intentions were clear. This new group was stockpiling power and hiding in the shadows.
"War, huh... Sounds like something Orochimaru or maybe remnants of the Akatsuki would do..."
He sighed, cracking his neck. "Screw it. If it comes to that, I'll kill 'em all."
He tossed the "dumpling" that was Sasori to the ground in front of Sarh and proudly patted its head.
"This is the infinite energy source I mentioned earlier. Feed it dust and dirt and it'll generate endless chakra. Clean, efficient, pollution-free. Literally ideal."
Sara stared suspiciously at the creepy, triple-sealed "Sasori" in front of her. It looked like it came straight out of a cursed VHS tape.
Zixu smirked, catching her doubt. "Don't worry. Just extract the chakra and leave the seal alone. You'll figure it out."
Without waiting, he turned and left.
"I'm heading toward that high-chakra area you mentioned. Might find something interesting."
Sara stood there, staring at the sealed Sasori with a grimace, not sure if she was relieved or even more stressed.
Meanwhile, Rossinanti delivered the puppet scroll, and Kankuro reacted like he'd won the damn lottery while eating watermelon on his couch. The moment he unsealed the scroll and saw the puppets, his jaw hit the floor.
Sasori works were every puppeteer's dream. His old favorites like Kuroari (Black Ant) and Karasu (Crow) were outdated compared to these. Now he had firsthand access to the originals—he could barely contain himself.
Hyuga Chinano, if she'd been around, probably would've snatched one just for research.
Neji also requested a few puppets to hand over to the research division. As he prepared to leave, he shook his head.
"If only Aburame Hatsuizumi was here... She's more into this stuff than my team."
As for Hatsuizumi, the one everyone missed, she was currently lounging on the Daimyo's throne in the Land of Water, looking as playful as ever—but her gaze had turned colder, more calculating.
"War..." Her insect swarm had scouted a huge chakra surge beneath a forest at the border shared by several nations.
Aburame Hatsuizumi sat lazily on the throne, her chin resting on her palm.
"Better to strike first. Send a squad to investigate the site. Clean up what you can. I'll send my pet to assist."
The Daimyo of the Land of Water—nothing but a puppet now—bowed with glassy eyes and walked off.
"These puppet bugs are nearly out of time... Gotta swap them soon."
She didn't plan on staying in the Water Country long. War was coming—maybe not all-out, but blood would be spilled.
"Hmm? That scent..." Hatsuizumi's eyes opened. Something was approaching—fast. The chakra was unlike anyone else's... but familiar.
"Why does that energy feel so damn familiar?" She frowned, scratching her head.
As she leapt from the throne, a tidal wave of insects surged forward to guard her. Whether friend or foe, anyone who thought she was weak would learn the truth real fast.
The door burst open. Standing in the frame was Terumi Mei.
Only now, frost leaked from her fingertips—and that chakra signature? It was eerily similar to what Karin had shown before.
