Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts-Chapter 5960 Dragon Pearl
Chapter 5960 Dragon Pearl
Outside a Ten Thousand Dragon Nest, the domain lord was pouring in the power of the entire Dragon Domain and his own precious essence blood as fuel to raise the dragon pearl’s blessing flame to its strongest state.
Inside the nest, Long Chen sat cross-legged in midair, enveloped by the dragon pearl, which had liquefied into a white, flowing substance surrounding him.
Immersed in this white energy, Long Chen’s body fully relaxed. He didn’t need to do anything. The blessing's power naturally merged into his bloodline, pouring in without resistance.
Long Chen’s dragon blood runes were condensed back in the Vermillion Bird Empire through the Dragon Soul Body Forging Art. At first, they had taken the form of eggs, then the eggs hatched into tiny dragons.
Yet, those tiny creatures never bore horns, claws, or scales. They resembled serpents more than dragons.
Now, under the baptism of the blessing flame, they rapidly evolved, growing dragon horns, dragon scales, and dragon claws, becoming true dragons.
Within Long Chen’s meridians, the miniature dragons swam like fish in the sea, growing stronger by the second. As their speed increased, a dull ache rose throughout his body.
They showed no signs of slowing down. Unconcerned with his limits, they continued to absorb the blessing, pushing his meridians to the brink.
Suddenly, Long Chen sensed danger.
His meridians were reaching their breaking point, on the verge of rupture. However, the blessing continued to pour in without restraint. If this went on, his meridians would explode.
I have to stop them!
With a thought, Long Chen summoned the power of his violet blood. Gentle and non-hostile to the dragon blood, it flowed through his meridians, absorbing part of the blessing and tempering the violent growth.
In this way, his dragon blood wouldn’t expand too rapidly, and the violet blood could restrain the dragon blood before it could go berserk. Otherwise, the explosive surge of power would tear his meridians apart.
While this approach significantly slowed the rate at which his meridians tore, and it even caused the meridians to expand as they absorbed more of the blessing’s power, the damage still outpaced their recovery.
Thankfully, the presence of the violet blood calmed the dragon blood noticeably. Furthermore, the latter was very courteous, not getting angry with the violet blood for eating its food. Instead, it even pushed some power toward the violet blood, as if inviting it to enjoy the feast together.
Unfortunately, Long Chen was disappointed to discover that the blessing energy couldn’t nourish his violet blood. No matter how he tried, the violet blood showed no signs of growth.
Just as anxiety started to rise in Long Chen’s heart, one of the little dragons spat out a tiny pearl. The violet blood enveloped it and devoured it in an instant.
The violet blood shuddered with excitement. Seeing this, the other little dragons started spitting out more pearls, feeding them to the violet blood.
The violet blood didn’t stand on courtesy. As it devoured pearl after pearl, its power surged at an astonishing pace.
The blessing power might not be something the violet blood could directly consume, but thanks to the little dragons adding in their own effort, the violet blood managed to devour it all the same.
Witnessing this, Long Chen sent in his seven-color Supreme Blood.
However, the moment it appeared, the little dragons instantly turned hostile, like feral beasts guarding their meal. They had shown nothing but courtesy to the violet blood, but to the Supreme Blood, they reacted as if an intruder had arrived.
Both the dragon blood and the seven-color Supreme Blood belonged to the Yang element, so they were natural rivals. Thus, the dragon blood refused to share its pearls with the Supreme Blood.
However, the violet blood acted as a bridge. After consuming the pearls, it was able to transfer a portion of the refined energy to the seven-color Supreme Blood.
The dragon blood’s reaction was purely instinctual. While it rejected the Supreme Blood directly, it didn’t oppose the violet blood passing energy to it. In this way, Long Chen managed to nourish his seven-color Supreme Blood without causing conflict.
As for the seven-color Supreme Blood, it seemed to know not to bite the hand that fed it. It didn’t protest, nor did it retaliate. Instead, it silently accepted the energy, sullen but obedient.
Thanks to the combined regulation from the violet blood and the seven-color Supreme Blood, the dragon blood’s growth was no longer overwhelming. Long Chen no longer felt like his meridians were on the verge of exploding. Freed from restraint, the dragon blood resumed its work.
As the blessing energy continued to flow into him, even the violet blood and Supreme Blood started to produce spherical runes. Long Chen was ecstatic at the sight.
These spheres resembled those that had formed during the initial cultivation of the Dragon Soul Body Forging Art. To his astonishment, his other bloodlines had entered that same transformative state.
As more energy poured in, the primitive runes slowly started to evolve.
When they finally hatched, the violet blood runes blossomed into six-petaled violet flowers, while the seven-color Supreme Blood condensed seven-colored swords.
The little dragons continued to grow stronger. The violet flowers drifted like gentle spirits through a boundless sea, while the seven-colored swords radiated terrifying sharpness and power.
BOOM!
Suddenly, the flow of blessing energy vanished. The entire Ten Thousand Dragon Nest collapsed in an instant, jolting Long Chen out of his meditative state.
The first thing Long Chen saw was a massive crowd of Dragon Domain’s top experts gathered around him. He was taken aback. Among them stood the domain lord—pale, weary, but visibly overjoyed.
“Domain lord...” Long Chen murmured, stunned.
He quickly realized that the domain lord and the four dragon ancestors had expended nearly all of their bloodline essence. Around them, most of the Human Emperors lay collapsed on the ground, utterly drained.
How could Long Chen not understand what had happened? The blood of a Sovereign Lord and Dragon Emperors was more precious than heaven itself. To expend so much of it on him... they had paid a colossal price.
“The Sovereign mark has appeared! Hahaha, the sacrifice was worth it!” the domain lord laughed, wild joy erupting from his mouth as he saw Long Chen’s forehead.
Gasps and exclamations of delight followed. A dragon-shaped mark slowly faded from Long Chen’s forehead, radiating overwhelming Sovereign might.
Even Sovereign Lords felt the urge to bow before it.
At that moment, they finally understood why the domain lord had given up the very valuable dragon pearl for a human. The dragon ancestors then burst into manic laughter.
Only the Sovereign Lords fully grasped the mark’s meaning. Upon seeing it, they knew—the Dragon Domain was destined to rise again.
“I cannot thank the Dragon Domain enough for this blessing,” Long Chen said solemnly.
He had no idea what mark had appeared on his forehead. All he saw was the immense price the Dragon Domain had paid for him. Gratitude filled his chest. From this moment on, the dragon race was his family.
Long Chen immediately started to stabilize his newfound power, fusing it completely with his bloodline. Although the domain lord had questions, he swallowed them down and gave Long Chen space. He led the others away and left Long Chen to his seclusion.
Suppressing his excitement, Long Chen reentered a cultivation state. There was still an abundance of blessing energy inside him. If he didn’t lock it in soon, it would dissipate, and that would be a tragic waste of such divine fortune.
Three days later, Long Chen slowly opened his eyes. Feeling the overwhelming Blood Qi surging through his body, he couldn’t help but raise his head and release a deafening roar to the heavens.
