The Primordial Beast of Gluttony has situated itself in the heart of the northern continent. It has managed to incite all of the beasts in the northern continent using its power. All of the monsters in the northern continent have become more active as a result. This made all of the settlements in the northern continent become dangerous as the monsters will ravage them if they show a moment's weakness.

The monsters became more aggressive as a result of their hunger becoming its peak. The monsters would even eat anything they can get their mouth on. The carnivorous monsters became omnivores, and the herbivorous monsters became carnivores as a result. The northern continent is not a place where food is always present and the viable option for most of them is preservation.

The problem is that the monsters would eat everything even the food that they had some aversion to. This left some villages in a deficit for food even if they have strong warriors. It is not just mindless monsters that steal and eat everything but also the intelligent ones. In fact, the intelligent monsters are the ones that pose more danger as they will sneak inside the food storages and empty it.

The Primordial Beast of Gluttony has empowered all of the beasts in the northern continent, and it has gained tremendous power as a result. One would think that the Primordial Beast of Gluttony will target the places where food is abundant, but it is clever in doing the opposite. The Primordial Beast of Gluttony always gets its needed energy in areas abundant with food and items as all beings there can always get it.

"Even if they pretend to think that they do not have abundance, they always have more and more than normal. This is why I have grown stronger compared to my other siblings." The Primordial Beast of Gluttony thought as it could kill one of its siblings if it wanted to but did not.

The illusion of grandeur as one would say is what the Primordial Beast of Gluttony is banking on. It knows that those with abundance will always want more and more even if they are full. Be it financially, emotionally, or physical. All people desires more when the option and capacity is available.

The hunger of all the beings living here made it want to spread its influence more and more as what can drive gluttony to its peak than those that have never tasted it before. The Primordial Beast of Gluttony might have 'gifted' the northern continent with its so-called abundance but that is just an illusion as well.

All the monsters that crave more food and shelter will burn out even faster than before when afflicted by the influence of the Primordial Beast of Gluttony. All of them might eat more and do more but the energy they use up is also doubled in return. In the end, they are now trapped in a cycle of overeating and overperforming.

This resulted in monsters becoming unable to process their food properly and literally burn their own bodies out. All the skinny monsters that Adrian and the others have encountered before are a result of the continuous cycle of overeating and overperforming. The bodies of these monsters become unable to continue any longer and burn their own life force.

The Primordial Beast of Gluttony does not care for the monsters though as it would get all of the energy it needs anyways. The impact of the Primordial Beast of Gluttony also extended to the birth cycle of monsters as more and more get created each day. The rapid increase in monsters of the northern continent is not just due to them coming out of the depths of the cold but because of overpopulation.

The abundance of food became possible which made the reproductive capabilities of all monsters into overdrive. Monsters also mature faster than others as they can become adults in a span of a week. This can be shortened to a span of a few days when food and monsters to hunt become abundant. "You have been awakened by prefer to sleep. Do not worry as I will devour you entirely and become more powerful than ever. Still, I will need to use you against the enemy that trapped you back then." The Primordial Beast of Gluttony stated as it touched a large ice mountain which is actually a hibernating primordial beast.

Adrian and the others immediately got dispatched to the northern continent as they needed to find the Primordial Beast of Gluttony. He has a rough idea where it might be, but he does not know the exact location. He already gave the others free reign to search for the enemy while he greets the Great Star Gazer that has come out from her sleep.

Adrian did not know why the Great Star Gazer wanted to meet him, but he does owe her quite a bit. He proceeded to the clear halls of the castle made entirely of ice. A castle built by the Ice Queen Elona and her people. Adrian then passed through a clear ice mirror and entered a mystical area that is filled with sparkling lights above like stars and a floor that is like a clear lake.

"You have come, Champion Equinox or rather Mediator Equinox. You have grown so much since our last interaction." The Great Star Gazer stated as she faced Adrian.

It was not just Adrian that is present in the special area, but Frey was there as well as she has also been called upon by the Great Star Gazer. Adrian greeted both of them with a warm smile and the Great Star Gazer seemed to have sensed the tension. She could be seeing cheekily blushing a bit, but she must proceed with her warning.

"Such a lovely atmosphere but I am afraid that I bring bad news. The kingdom is in grave danger. I believe both of you are needed in order to stop it." The Great Star Gazer stated.

"What kind of danger? I know that you have just recovered from your past injuries and might be pushing yourself, but I think we need more than that. Everything and everywhere is always in danger because the state of the world is unstable. Gods, monsters, and even mortals are all vying for power that they cannot control and damages the world as a result." Adrian stated.

"I sense the burden you carry, Mediator Equinox… but this is just the first of many challenges you will face. The threat now can be averted if both of you work together as the two of you are the key to the salvation of the northern continent for the time being." The Great Star Gazer stated as she suddenly felt a bit weak, and Frey caught her.

"Maybe ease up a little as she just woke up from her dreams. The Ice Queen Elona tried to tell her to rest but she insisted to talk to you." Frey stated while staring at Adrian for being too pushy.

"I apologize if I was too forward. I was just eager to get an answer as fast as possible." Adrian stated.

"I am fine, Mediator Equinox. I am merely tired as visions of the past, present, and future collide all at the same time as soon as I woke up. I was able to piece together some of the things that you might need but I am still human. Humans are weak at the face of the truth after all as they try to always find reason when it does not align with what they believe." The Great Star Gazer stated as she smiled.

The Great Star Gazer then dipped her hand onto the floor and ripples appeared before them. The floor suddenly showed visions of the future where a large monster destroys the kingdom of ice. Amidst it all is a man that looks like a eunuch laughing as it absorbed energy from all the monsters that devoured everything in their paths. The Ice Queen Elona tried her best to destroy all of the monsters and protect her people, but she failed.

The Ice Queen Elona was severely injured and died which enraged the Divine Blacksmith Aurgelmir to unleash his rage upon the northern continent. The rage of the Divine Blacksmith Aurgelmir covered the entire northern continent in permafrost that even monsters resistant to the cold died. His rage burned so fiercely that he also destroyed a part of the world barrier as a result. This led to the Gods of Asgard to flock to the world without any consequence and begin their war against all of the world.
