Chapter 185 - Drought? Foolish Disaster!

It was almost evening at the Marine base, G-5 Branch.

Suddenly, the alarm bells shrieked, cutting through the air!

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Cannonballs crashed down on the fortress, each explosion a thunderous roar that shook the ground!

Inside the Base Chief's office, panic filled the air.

"Vice Admiral Roya, this is terrible! It's the Beasts Pirates fleet!" a messenger cried.

"The Beasts Pirates?" Roya asked, a hint of surprise in his voice.

He had just returned from Marine Headquarters, the taste of victory and a new medal still fresh. He'd barely had time to rest when the Beasts Pirates decided to attack?

Could it be the Flying Six? he wondered. What gave them the nerve to come here?

The messenger, his face pale, blurted out, "Vice Admiral Roya, we've identified their leader! It's Drought Jack, one of the Beasts Pirates' All-Stars!"

"Jack," Roya repeated, a low growl in his throat.

So, it was Drought Jack. That made a bit more sense. But wasn't that brute just defeated by Vice Admiral Garp and the others? How could he be back so soon? His wounds probably haven't even closed yet!

"Tell the unit commanders to engage the enemy!" Roya barked, his eyes hardening.

"Yes, sir!" The messenger scrambled to relay the order.

No reminder was needed. The unit commanders were already moving, taking their positions with practiced efficiency.

Yamato, hearing the commotion, burst into Roya's office, her face flushed with excitement.

"Roya, I want to fight too!" she pleaded.

"Yamato," Roya said, looking at her, a hint of concern in his eyes. He shook his head.

"Stay out of the main fight for now. This attack is likely more than just Jack. If things get complicated, then you can step in."

"Ah, is my father coming?" Yamato asked, her voice suddenly laced with dread.

A shiver ran down her spine.

"Your father might not show up, but the Flying Six definitely will," Roya said, his gaze turning icy. "When those cowards reveal themselves, you can beat them to a pulp."

With Jack here, the Flying Six were almost guaranteed to make an appearance. They wouldn't dare challenge him directly, but they wouldn't miss an opportunity to cause trouble.

---

At the main entrance of the G-5 Branch, three Beasts Pirates warships were speeding towards the shore.

"Faster! Faster!" Jack bellowed, his voice a thunderous roar.

"Don't worry about the Marine's cannons! Just get us to the shore!"

"Ram the ships into the fortress!"

Jack stood at the bow of the lead ship, his eyes burning with savage anticipation. They couldn't win a long-range battle against the Marine fortress with only three ships, but once they reached the shore, he would personally tear down everything in his path!

"Boom!!!"

A cannonball slammed into the ship's hull, sending flames erupting and black smoke billowing into the sky.

Jack remained unmoved, his eyes fixed on the fortress gate. Less than two hundred meters to landing!

High above, on the fortress walls, Roya watched the incoming warships.

"What a suicidal charge," he muttered.

The price for their reckless speed was steep. The ships were riddled with holes, and one had already been blown in half.

He had never seen such a brutal offensive. Even if they managed to land, their ships would be completely wrecked.

Didn't that "Foolish Disaster" Jack think about how they'd get back?

Eh, probably not, he thought wryly.

"Vice Admiral Roya, the enemy is about to land!" A Marine shouted, his voice tight with tension.

"Have the Marines retreat and lead the enemy into the fortress's training ground!" Roya commanded.

"Yes, sir!"

The coastline was too narrow, making it difficult for the Marines to use their numbers effectively. But the fortress's interior boasted a vast training ground, perfect for a full-scale battle.

As for relying on the fortress for defense...

The fortress gate would fall with a single push; it was practically made of paper.

"Boom!!!"

Two warships slammed into the shore with a deafening crash, their bows splintering and collapsing. It was clear they weren't planning on retreating.

"Roar!"

A colossal Mammoth emerged from the wreckage. Each step sent tremors through the ground, and the ancient fortress gate was smashed to pieces with a single swipe of its massive trunk.

Jack, transformed into the Mammoth, charged into the fortress with his subordinates, completely ignoring the possibility of an ambush.

"Clack, clack!"

The Marines were ready, hundreds of rifles aimed at the entrance, backed by cannons and other heavy weaponry.

As Jack led his forces into the training ground, Smoker and the other unit commanders unleashed their fury.

"Open fire!!!" Smoker roared.

"Bang! Bang! Bang-bang-bang!"

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

A storm of bullets and cannon fire engulfed the Mammoth.

"Boom!!!"

Blinding flames exploded into the sky!

"Did it work?" A Marine whispered, his eyes wide with hope.

As the Mammoth emerged from the inferno, the Marines gasped.

Cannons and guns had no effect!

The Beasts Pirates, who had been hiding behind Jack during the assault on the gate, poured out, grinning madly as they brandished swords and guns.

"Hahahaha, did you really think your puny cannons could hurt Lord Jack!" One of them roared.

"Lord Jack is invincible!" Another echoed.

"Let us tell you, this is one of Lord Kaido's Three Confidants, Drought Jack, who bears the name of disaster!" A third bellowed.

"Hand over Young Master Yamato if you don't want to die!"

Roya stepped forward, his eyes fixed on the Mammoth.

"I am the Base Chief of the G-5 Branch, Vice Admiral Black Hair," he said, his voice cold and menacing. "Drought Jack, you just said you were going to level my fortress, right?"

"That's right!" Jack roared, his eyes narrowing as he locked onto Roya.

Then, a blur!

His pupils darted to the left, struggling to follow Roya's sudden movement. Black Hair appeared beside his head, his fist crackling with intense Haki.

"Who do you think I am?!" Roya bellowed, his Haki-infused fist slamming into Jack's face with savage force. The force of the blow ripped through Jack's head, bursting out the back in a violent explosion!

"Demon King Gun!"

"Boom!!!"

The shockwave continued, slamming into the wall behind Jack, causing it to crumble and explode!

Jack's eyes rolled back, and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. His massive body tilted, then crashed to the ground, sending up a cloud of dust.

The Mammoth's immense form began to shrink rapidly, reverting to its human form.

Only then did the pirates react, their cheers turning to horrified cries.

"Lord Jack!!!"

Roya landed lightly on the ground, his expression grim.

Daring to cause trouble on his turf. He had a death wish!

"Get out of my way!" Jack roared, pushing aside the panicked pirates. He was back in human form, his eyes burning with crazed bloodlust.

"Puh!"

He spat out a mouthful of blood.

He was injured!

With a roar, Jack stood up, ripping the ivory-shaped weapons from his shoulders and drawing out curved dual swords.

"You're still standing?" Roya asked, his eyes narrowing as he assessed the massive figure before him.

Over eight meters tall, as strong as a small giant, his bulging muscles threatened to burst from his skin.

He possessed monstrous strength.

Moreover, he had taken Roya's Demon King Gun head-on and was still able to get back on his feet. If it had been Doflamingo, he'd be out cold, needing an emergency operation.

His physique is far too strong.

Jack's nostrils flared as he breathed heavily.

"I'm going to kill you, Black Hair!" He roared.

"I should be the one saying that, Little Brother Jack!" Roya grinned, his officers already gathered behind him, ready for battle.

"Wipe out all the pirates!" Roya commanded.

"Ooooh!!!" The Marines roared, charging forward.

---

Meanwhile, at the back entrance of the G-5 Branch, four Beasts Pirates warships were silently approaching.

"Jack and Black Hair are fighting!"

"It's our turn to make an appearance!"

"Huh? Isn't that Young Master Yamato!"

On the shore, Yamato sat cross-legged, her wolf fang club planted firmly beside her.

"So it's Sasaki and the others," she muttered.

Just as Roya had predicted, the Flying Six had arrived.

Yamato picked up her wolf fang club, her eyes blazing with determination.

"I'm not going back!"
