Chapter 432 -378: Birth Mother Indifferent Like a Chrysanthemum? The Young Miss Sabotages Everything with a Backhand 18_3
“Madam, please don’t think like that, Madam, Su Qin is back. Whatever issues your family has, talk it out!”
The servants had already fainted from fright.
The next second, accompanied by the sound of the door opening, Su Qin walked in from outside.
When he saw the scene inside the room, he couldn’t even believe his own eyes. He hadn’t expected such turmoil in the room: all the servants had their hands outstretched with anxious expressions on their faces, standing at the bottom of the staircase, while Ning Fu on the second floor was crying dreadfully, her hair in disarray, as if poised to jump down.
And standing at the entrance of the ground floor room was his eldest daughter, Su Zhiruan.
“What’s going on here?”
He didn’t even bother to change his shoes, he strode forward, setting down his briefcase.
“What are you doing?”
“Dad, Dad, you’re finally back. If you hadn’t come back, this family would have been driven to death by Su Zhiruan!” Su Tianci swiftly played the victim, pointing at Su Zhiruan leaning against the wall. His tone was filled with immense resentment, and then he cursed out loud.
“It’s all her, she verbally abused Mom. If it hadn’t been for her, maybe Mom wouldn’t have ended up like this, Dad! You have to stand up for us. Look at what Mom has been bullied into looking like. You know she’s always been non-confrontational, and Su Zhiruan is always domineering!”
When Ning Fu saw Su Qin return, she put on an even more deceptive act, quickly squeezing out a couple of tears. She swayed on the railing as if she would jump off in the next second, causing the servants to erupt into chaos again.
Su Qin’s brows furrowed deeper. With only Su Tianci’s word against her, he naturally wouldn’t jump to conclusions. Furthermore, after spending so many days together, he was starting to see through things.
Though Ning Fu usually only talked about nostalgic tales of their youth with him until his ears almost blistered, he didn’t know what she was like as a mother at home. It was only after Su Zhiruan started getting closer to him again that he gradually began to understand Ning Fu’s actions.
However, right now he also worried that if he didn’t handle the situation delicately, Ning Fu might actually jump from upstairs, so he decided to coax her down, “Alright, come down now, I’ll stand up for you.”
“I don’t want to live anymore. What’s the point? Raising an ungrateful child… now that ungrateful child targets and berates me at every turn, and she even refuses to help me with a tiny favor and scolds her little brother. What did her brother do wrong to deserve this? My life is so hard!” Ning Fu cried as tears streamed down.
She didn’t really intend to jump; she was just posturing. Seeing this act, Su Qin quickly went upstairs and restrained her from behind, pulling her down from the railing.
After being pulled down, Ning Fu just collapsed to the ground and continued to weep.
“Go sit on the sofa. Let’s have a good talk sitting together.”
Su Qin frowned, as he had some questions he wanted to ask Ning Fu, and said, “I have some questions for you as well, come downstairs!”
Thinking Su Qin was going to vent for her, Ning Fu schemed and said, adding fuel to the fire.
“You have no idea… it’s your eldest daughter, Su Zhiruan! Just now, she pointed at her own brother’s nose and started scolding profusely. That’s her own brother. How could she dare to curse like that? So much foul language, and she’s driven me to the brink of death! She has never respected me as her mother. Look, this is your good daughter, today! With her here, I’m out, with me here, she’s out!” Ning Fu continued to feign crying and put on her own act, complete with tears streaming down. Her nose was red as if she was facing a great injustice.
As the family, each harboring their own schemes, sat on the sofas, the servants all backed away, hiding in the corners to watch the drama unfold.
Su Qin sat in the middle of the long sofa, with Ning Fu by his side. The larger of the two smaller sofas was taken by Su Zhiruan, while the slightly smaller one was jumped upon by Su Tianci, who sat down obediently.
“So you mean to say, Ruanruan scolded her brother and you, and even drove you to want to jump off the building. Is that right?” Su Qin repeated what Ning Fu had just said in a simplified version.
“Yes, that’s right. You have to stand up for us, Dad!” Su Tianci glared at Su Zhiruan as if he wanted to eat her alive.
“Ruanruan, do you have anything you’d like to say? Tell Dad?” Su Qin looked at his eldest daughter, his demeanor softening.
“Yes, since they’ve said so much, it would be impolite of me not to say anything, wouldn’t it?”
Su Zhiruan was in no hurry, as if she wasn’t the untrustworthy, unfilial, unkind, and impure person they were describing, as she took a strawberry from the table and popped it into her mouth with a smile.
“Then go ahead and speak!”
At that moment, all three pairs of eyes were on Su Zhiruan, each set filled with a different emotion, while the servants also focused their attention on Su Zhiruan, eager to hear what she would say.
Just then, Su Zhiruan calmly raised her phone and pressed the screen where a flashing red dot was.
“Words alone are no proof! Of course, I can’t argue against the two of them alone!” Su Zhiruan saved the file, then with a shallow smile, tapped the newly saved recording.
“I have a full recording of the entire process. Why not listen and find out who’s right and who’s wrong?”
No sooner had she spoken.
In an instant, Su Tianci’s and Ning Fu’s faces turned completely green.
