Paranoid Doctor Only Loves Me-Chapter 81 - 071 Tang Su Plays Dead, Big Misunderstanding_1
Chapter 81: 071 Tang Su Plays Dead, Big Misunderstanding_1
Tang Su held her breath, daring not to respond. She tiptoed to the back of the door; the doorbell had stopped ringing, the person outside had switched from ringing the bell to knocking instead.
Just as Tang Su tiptoed to peek through the peephole, the panel vibrated due to the knocking from the other side, sending tremors straight to Tang Su’s heart, thud thud thud. Tang Su clutched her chest, and for a second, she felt her heart might leap out.
Through the peephole, Tang Su recognized the person outside as Sister Cai from their community’s property management. Seeing no one respond, Sister Cai finally gave up, turned around, and went to knock on Tang Su’s door.
"Little Tang, Little Tang, are you there? Little Tang—"
Now, Tang Su dared even less to make a sound, only pretending to be dead.
However, the only response Sister Cai received from Tang Su’s home was the pitiful meowing of Douding. Both its male and female owners ignored it. Was it being abandoned?
If only it were bigger in stature, as tall as a Golden Retriever, then it could open the door by itself.
It was so hungry, meow meow—
When Sister Cai heard the cat’s cry from inside the house, she shook her head helplessly, "This girl, Little Tang, didn’t come home last night? The poor little cat is meowing so pitifully..."
Then, instead of leaving immediately, Sister Cai called Tang Su. Tang Su’s phone in her pocket rang out, a series of crisp ring tones that Sister Cai, with her sharp ears, naturally heard through the thin door.
Sister Cai was not only sharp-eared but also quick to react.
The call was to Tang Su’s phone, but why was Tang Su’s phone ringing in Doctor Lu’s house?
What did this mean?
It was as if Sister Cai had been struck by lightning. She didn’t wait for Tang Su to respond awkwardly and bolted down the safety stairwell without waiting for the elevator.
After running down two floors, she, slightly overweight, found herself too exhausted to continue and had to wait for the elevator. freewebnøvel.coɱ
Tang Su: "..."
Tang Su knew she was completely done for.
Sister Cai, being from their community’s property management, was a very warm-hearted woman. Due to her job, she often lent a hand to the residents.
Sometimes she would help the elderly residents living alone by taking out their trash, and at other times she would help busy working parents by dropping their kids off at the community gate to wait for the nursery school’s shuttle service.
Sister Cai became a widow at thirty, raising her two children on her own. Tang Su had heard that Sister Cai’s daughter was working abroad, and her son had gone straight to a multinational company after graduation last year, working in Beijing.
One could say Sister Cai was an excellent woman and an exceptional mother.
However, nobody’s perfect. Though Sister Cai had a big heart and was strong and independent after losing her husband, raising her children to be outstanding, her only flaw was that she was a blabbermouth and quite the loudspeaker.
It didn’t matter if it was her own business or someone else’s; once Sister Cai got wind of it, it wouldn’t take half a day for anyone who knew her well to hear about it.
Moreover, their community had many young people, and there were plenty of elderly who had moved to the city to enjoy life with their children, often helping young couples with their kids.
Tang Su knew that Sister Cai’s mouth would surely not disappoint her.
The critical issue was that Sister Cai’s mouth couldn’t be silenced; the more you tried to silence it, the larger the misunderstanding grew.
After taking three deep breaths to compose herself and feeling much calmer, Tang Su changed into her own shoes, opened the door, and went back to her home.
The second note that Lu Han had stuck on the refrigerator was ignored once again by Tang Su.
After unlocking her front door with her fingerprint, Douding meowed and wobbled over, feeling very aggrieved.
Tang Su also felt wronged. Lu Han had gone too far. He had plainly said he would be home for three days, and she genuinely believed he would stay for the full three days before returning.
She bent down and picked up Douding. "Little Douding, your male owner is really bad."
"Meow meow—"
Douding meowed in agreement.
Then, Douding obediently licked Tang Su’s hand. It was hungry; could it be fed before joining her to complain about their male owner?
Tang Su stroked Douding’s head several times. "Hungry, huh? Wait a second, sister will get you some food."
"Meow meow—"
Yay, yay.
Douding happily followed at Tang Su’s feet. Tang Su poured out some of Douding’s favorite cat food, which included a high content of meat that the little guy loved.
Needless to say, Little Douding gobbled it up with gusto.
Seeing it enjoy the meal, Tang Su went to prepare special goat’s milk powder for the cat.
