Urshifu now fought the Fire Genesect—its martial prowess and type advantage allowing it to stall.

Ninetales and Ceruledge faced the Electric and Ice Genesect respectively—each with defenses or elemental edge.

Gengar was up against the red one—the strongest.

But the true breakthrough?

Dragonite and Tinkaton vs. Water Genesect.

That was where they had the highest chance to land a decisive blow.

The Genesect still had the upper hand.

Especially the red one—now in the same icy quadrant as Johan and Gengar.

It had the power to fight Genesect!

They'd faced gods before—this was nothing new.

Johan clutched the Keystone dangling from his monocle chain.

Their bond surged.

Gengar split the giant Shadow Ball into two.

Mega Gengar didn't flinch. Johan's coat flared behind him—eyes glowing bright blue.

Keldeo leapt into the air to meet the beam head-on.

Its voice echoed in Johan and Gengar's hearts.

They believed it.

Gengar vanished back into the shadows.

Gengar reappeared behind the red Genesect.

"Dragonite!" Johan yelled, stopping it from giving chase.

Not worth it—Genesect escaping wasn't a failure.

Driving them back was a victory.

More so—some of them had come seeking help.

Johan looked toward Ceruledge.

He hadn't assigned it to the Ice Genesect just for the type advantage—

That one had seemed the most willing to cooperate.

And Ceruledge, with its Aura and psychic power, could connect with it.
