POSSESSION: The Hidden Omega In All Alphas' Academy [BL]-Chapter 109: This Can’t Be Happening
Chapter 109: Chapter 109: This Can’t Be Happening
’I understand that Stephan is genuinely worried for me, but if I keep having Zenith by my side, I can deal with such assholes easily. It’s nothing much to fret about...most importantly, I need to make money while I am studying here. I can’t ask any more from Mom...since she didn’t even let me know how much it would cost for her surgery today...’
Pondering the thought inside his mind as Kylian stared still his concerned gaze on him, he softly smiled at Stephan while patting his shoulder before answering, "I am not slightest bothered about those damn thugs.
"I have already worked as a trainer before so that kind of work will suit me the best when I am in a new place now. That’s why, thank you so much Stephan for letting me know...and helping me like you always do. I know I can count on you, always."
Even though Stephan had expected him to get a bit worried after hearing the whole story, but Kylian’s confidence and strong resilient nature had amazed him since the first day he arrived. Watching him smiling gently now rather than frowning with concern, Stephan mumbled with a nod.
"It’s you who stood up for me first here...when we were practically strangers. Even today you stood up for me inside the class, almost provoking those nasty bullies. This is the least I can do for you. Let me know how your interview goes over there, and for now, I am going back to my room to get some rest. What about you?"
"Oh, I think I will have to stop by the library first. I want to get some studying done."
Since Kylian hadn’t paid any proper attention as he was busy admiring Zenith’s beautiful sleeping face throughout the whole class, he had already thought of visiting the library after the class to prepare the notes as he couldn’t afford to risk his academics here.
When both of them walked out of the cafeteria building, before Stephan was about to head towards the direction of his room, he glanced at Kylian once again before mumbling, "Make sure to let me know if you face any trouble at the gym, okay?"
"Of course, don’t worry." Kylian waved at him while watching him leave. Even though he was smiling, an anxious thought hit his mind when he murmured to himself.
’The only worry I have at this moment is...my transition as a dominant omega wouldn’t put me in any trouble over there, right? I can already assume that gym would be frequented by the Alphas...so if I keep taking my medicines properly following the prescription...it’s all going to be fine, right?’
......
After walking out of the Principal’s office in a surly mood, Zenith was marching forward across the empty hallway, quite speeding up his pace. His pulse was rising sharply, and inside his broad chest, he felt uneasy palpitations rushing down, as if his mind was constantly reminiscing the words Mr. Pablo said to him.
’Why would the President ask for my few days of leave? I am sure as much as I despise him, he is also disgusted by the sight of watching me inside his mansion too, right? So why would he ask the Principal to let me stay there for a while? There’s no way I am gonna fuckin’ heed his words anyway...and I am not gonna hear whatever damn excuse Mr. Clark has to give me as well—’
"Young Master?"
"OH, DAMN IT!" While Zenith was walking steadily fast being deeply indulged in his thoughts, the sudden familiar murmur from behind winced him from shock, as he almost gritted his jaws while hollering out.
Turning behind, he saw it was Barnes standing a few steps apart from him in the hallway, which made him scowl at him angrily, "Why do you always have to creep me out by appearing right behind me like a fuckin’ ghost!? For damn sake, can’t you just appear normally before me, like a normal person should??"
"I...I am really sorry to startle you, Young Master. But...I had a piece of urgent information to convey to you, that’s why I couldn’t appear normally."
Holding an anxious expression on his handsome face, Barnes fiddled his fingers as he spoke in a timid voice. The look in his eyes appeared very antsy, giving Zenith the direct hint that something was wrong.
"What happened? Tell me quick." Zenith didn’t waste a second anymore while asking him ardently.
"It’s about the woman that you have commanded me to look into her..." Barnes quickly grabbed a photograph from his suit pocket and it belonged to none other than Marita, smiling gently at the camera as the photograph was taken outside her small restaurant.
Just taking a glance at the picture of Kylian’s mother, Zenith’s blood ran cold as if his sixth sense could indicate something was terribly wrong for Barnes to get this stressed. After a small pause, Barnes sounded a bit dejected when he conveyed, "This woman...had a very critical surgery today at dawn. One of her kidneys, more than half of her spleen, a portion of her bone marrow, as well as some parts of her liver, were operated out from her body.
"According to the information I have gathered, she was already a patient with a weak heart, and now this surgery has been done in a very poorly functional hospital by a corrupt group of loan sharks. freewebnσvel.cøm
"It is possible that...she has sold all of her organs to them to pay for some heavily accumulated debt on her. And she had recently taken some more debt...for sending her son here to attend the Academy. Right now, from her vitals, it can be concluded that she’s too sick to be gone at any moment."
Like a striking jolt of thunder that hit Zenith deep in his core, his shocking revelation froze him from horror and dismay, as if Zenith couldn’t process the words he said just now. His breath felt stifled, and Marita’s sweet voice over the call, when he had attended Kylian’s phone that night, rang in his ears, unexpectedly raising his heartbeat from extreme dread.
As if the ground below his feet had shaken, his legs felt a bit wobbly to stand still when Zenith murmured in a wrecked voice, "T-This can’t be true... I am sure...I am sure you’re very mistaken, Barnes! T-This can’t be happening to her, no..."
