POSSESSION: The Hidden Omega In All Alphas' Academy [BL]-Chapter 112: Cover for Me
Chapter 112: Chapter 112: Cover for Me
Feeling Aiden’s grasp tightening around his waist, Kylian pushed him away with his elbow from behind, seeming a little impatient to break free from him, when he murmured, "Thank you for protecting me. I am okay now, so, please let go."
"O-Oh, s-sorry!" As if Aiden was too focused on keeping him close, he didn’t realize his hold was making Kylian fidgety to unleash himself.
The moment he let him go, Kylian stood up and hurriedly checked his phone first, which he had firmly protected in the grasp of his hands, despite facing such a collision with that bookshelf. His ocean eyes were glimmering with hope as if he was keenly expecting Zenith’s reply to his previous text.
But the glimmer in his eyes immediately faded into dim when he saw it was a spam message, making him turn gloomy again to realize he almost put himself in danger from getting overexcited.
But his efforts all went in vain.
However, Aiden was a keen observant of Kylian’s facial expression which immediately turned from being a cheerful puppy to a sad puppy kicked out in the rain.
Watching his eagerness to check his phone immediately after he stood up, Aiden couldn’t suppress his curiosity towards Kylian when he asked, "Were you distracted by your phone which almost got you into an accident today? Do you realize if I hadn’t been around, you could have cracked your head open from the hit?"
Though Kylian was still gloomy, but his loud grumble made him understand that Aiden had indeed saved him from a major accident.
Before he was about to apologize to Aiden, the library coordinator almost rushed towards them after hearing the loud noise and shrieked from shock to watch all the books and that giant bookshelf were messed up around them.
"My Goodness! Who did this!? Did you do this!? Do you know how much time it will take to rearrange all those books!? What on the earth were you thinking!?"
That middle-aged man almost popped the vein on his neck from screaming too loudly at Kylian, which made him feel anxious as he knew rearranging all those books on that shelf would be a massive trouble.
Fiddling his fingertips, when Kylian decided to bow his head down and beg for his forgiveness, unexpectedly Aiden came and stood before him, as him some kind of giant shield, before he blatantly declared, "It’s my fault, Sir. I mistakenly stumbled on the bookshelf and it fell over. I am really sorry for creating the commotion."
"Huh?" Both the library coordinator and Kylian were baffled at Aiden’s confession, especially that middle-aged man who stared at him with a gaze of disbelief, "You did this? But Aiden, you come to study in the library almost every day and you have never caused such trouble before—"
"But today I happened to cause it by mistake. Fret not about rearranging all this stuff. I owe my mistake and I will cover any damage if it is caused. I am sorry once again." Without letting him finish his sentence, when Aiden firmly asserted his apology, the man stood spellbound for a few minutes.
That coordinator scowled at Kylian once before he walked out of the library after hearing Aiden’s answer. A brief intense silence fell between both of them while Kylian continued gazing at Aiden’s giant broad back from behind as he covered for his mistake.
"Damn, this was close." With a heavy sigh, Aiden dialed someone on his phone and ordered in a cold tone, "There’s a little mess made at the library. Send a few people and ask them to clean up properly. Be quick."
After he disconnected the call and turned around, watching Kylian’s anxious gaze fixed on him made Aiden smirk, as he asked, "What happened? Why are you so tensed up?"
"I...I made the mistake, so...I should have apologized to him." Sounding a bit jittery from his tone, Kylian met his dilated big pupils while asking, "Why did you cover up for me? You didn’t do anything wrong to take the blame on yourself..."
’I don’t know either...why did I feel the urge to step up for you? But I can surely say, it’s the first time I have shown this kind of deliberation for someone, especially for a man.’
Deep inside his mind, Aiden murmured on his own but keeping a small grin curving his lips, he sounded gentle, "I just felt pity to watch that sad puppy face of yours. And I knew since you’re a newbie, you’d be scolded very much if I didn’t step up for you. That’s why, just consider it as a small favor, no need to get stressed over it."
"But...still, I owe you this one." Kylian lowered his sincere gaze from him while mumbling in a fidgety voice, "You saved me from the accident and even took the blame on yourself, not everyone possesses such kind of selfless attitude. Thank you very much, I promise I will definitely make sure to repay your favor if a situation arises."
While thanking him, Kylian cordially bowed his head before Aiden before he walked up to the pile of books scattered across the floor. He started picking them one by one for the rearrangement, but his action made Aiden curious as he followed after him, "Hey, didn’t you hear me on the phone just now? I asked for people who can come and clean this mess."
"But still, I feel responsible for it, so at least let me help until those people come here." Without meeting his gaze, Kylian continued rearranging the books while Aiden stood still, gawking at him with wide open eyes.
After a brief moment, when Aiden also sat next to him to pick up the remaining books, Kylian winced a little while asking him, "You don’t need to do this as well—"
"I am not as selfless as you assumed, but remember, not everyone can be honest like you," Aiden mumbled with a small smile, making Kylian stare at him with wide-open eyes.
By then, a few tall men dressed in yellowish-black check suits arrived at the library and all of them bowed respectfully before Aiden.
Watching his men arrive there, suddenly Aiden grabbed Kylian’s hand as he sounded amicable, "Just a moment ago, you said that you would repay my favor right?"
"Yes, but...what do you want?" Kylian mumbled in a confused voice while looking at those men whom he didn’t expect to arrive so fast after his phone call, which made him assume his family’s influence must be also superior inside the Academy, just like Zenith.
But Aiden held his hand a little tight while pulling him up from the pile of books as he asked with a soft smile, "How about keeping me some company for a while now? Until I get bored?"
