Pregnant During An Apocalypse [BL]-Chapter 257 - Really blind
Chapter 257: Chapter 257 - Really blind
Yunfeng was once again in that dreamlike state...
He was back in that familiar room. The one with the pale walls and the missing posters hung like quiet memories. But this time, it felt different. There were no floating screens flickering. Just one screen was hung close to the bed, glowing dimly. Switched on. Waiting.
His eyes drifted slowly to the bed.
Hana was there. His little sister.
She was sitting on the mattress, quietly typing something.
To be honest, since the last time he saw her—she had changed a lot. The dark circles that had always sat stubbornly under her eyes were gone. Her face looked less tight, her skin less pale. She looked like someone who had finally slept. Finally eaten. Finally lived a little.
Yunfeng walked over slowly and sat by her bedside. His eyes stayed on her face, drinking in the sight. A soft, quiet smile played on his lips as he watched her.
For a second, Hana turned her head slightly—her gaze lifting in his direction, like she could feel him watching. Like some thread still connected them even across time and states of being.
But she just blinked and went back to typing.
Yunfeng sighed silently and stood up.
His eyes moved to the screen on the wall. It was obviously meant for him.
Even now, after all this time... she had left it on.
She still believed he might come back. Still hoped. Even after he had told her to forget him, to move on, to live her life without waiting for a brother who would never return.
But she still set that screen up. Just in case.
He stepped closer. The glow illuminated his face faintly.
Suddenly, something shifted.
The screen changed—lines of text appeared.
Words filled the entire page in bold:
"If you are here then read this."
Yunfeng’s breath caught.
He turned to look at Hana again.
If he touched the screen, if he changed anything... she’d know.
She would know he had come back to this time frame again. She would know he was still lingering, still tethered here somehow.
And he didn’t want that.
He didn’t want to interfere with her life anymore.
He had made his choice. His Muchen was in the past. And he had decided—he was going to stay with him.
He didn’t belong in this timeline anymore.
He didn’t want to pull Hana back into that grief. He didn’t want to give her hope again. That maybe her brother was alive somewhere. That maybe he would come home.
So he didn’t change the page.
He just stared at it quietly.
"If you are here then read this."
Yunfeng smiled faintly. Bittersweet.
"I’m here," he whispered. "But I won’t stay."
His eyes drifted one last time to Hana.
She looked peaceful.
Like she was finally finding her own path.
He turned and let the dream fade, the soft hum of the screen behind him flickering like a heartbeat left unanswered.

Yunfeng woke up, dazed—his lashes fluttering as he blinked once, then again, and again.
But... nothing changed.
Everything remained dark.
Pitch black.
His heart skipped a beat. He tried again, blinking harder this time, squinting as if that would somehow clear the haze. But it wasn’t haze. There was no light at all.
His hand lifted slowly to his face. Trembling fingers brushed over his eyelids, gently parting them, feeling the skin stretch as his lids opened fully. But even then... no light greeted him.
His breath hitched in his throat.
"I’m... I’m still blind..."
The words came out like a quiet gasp. A truth he had refused to face was now pressing down on him, heavy and cruel.
"It wasn’t a temporary thing..."
His hands started to tremble. Just a little. But enough to feel it.
A dull ache spread in his chest.
He clenched his eyes shut, as if he could will the darkness away by pretending it wasn’t there.
Then he opened them again.
Still nothing. freewebnoveℓ.com
It was like his world had ended, but his body hadn’t gotten the message yet.
With a sudden burst of desperation, Yunfeng sat up hurriedly. He pushed himself upright, tossing aside the blanket as he tried to get out of bed.
But in his panic, he didn’t notice the fabric wrapped around his ankles.
Bam!
He tumbled to the floor with a harsh thud, his limbs flailing uselessly. The wind rushed out of him for a second.
He lay there for a beat, stunned.
Then his hand reached out, fingers tapping against the floor as he tried to feel his surroundings—tried to sense if there were any obstacles nearby.
He sensed none.
So he began to stand up, pushing up on shaky arms, trying to rise.
But his forehead slammed into something solid.
"Thud!"
A sharp, stinging pain bloomed instantly above his brow.
The bedside table.
He hadn’t sensed it. He hadn’t seen it. And now the dull ache in his head matched the one in his heart.
"Ugh..." Yunfeng groaned, rubbing his forehead with a wince.
"Yunfeng!" A voice called out in panic.
He recognized it instantly.
Muchen.
Footsteps rushed toward him, fast and stumbling.
He could feel Muchen’s presence before he even reached out—his warmth, his panic, his fear.
"Oh my god, are you okay? You’re bleeding!" Muchen’s voice trembled.
He knelt beside Yunfeng, gentle hands cupping his face. His fingers brushed against the sticky warmth just above his brow.
Yunfeng winced slightly, more from emotion than pain.
"I’m fine," he muttered, trying to sound casual, brushing it off. "I just rolled over in my sleep, that’s all."
But the lie was so thin, it fell apart even as he said it.
He could feel Muchen’s hand trembling ever so slightly against his cheek.
It was enough to make his throat tighten.
Yunfeng reached out, blindly, until his fingers found Muchen’s hand. He pulled it close and pressed a soft kiss against Muchen’s knuckles.
"I’m fine," he repeated quietly.
A pause.
Then, "Hmm... you’re fine," Muchen murmured—but it wasn’t an agreement. It was disbelief.
The next second, Yunfeng felt Muchen throw himself into his arms, wrapping around him tightly. He hugged Yunfeng as if he was trying to keep him from shattering.
Yunfeng’s arms came up slowly and held him back.
He held on, letting his cheek rest against Muchen’s shoulder.
