Pretending to Cultivate in Kindergarten-Chapter 275: Future Plans
Lin Zhengran explained, “Her name is Jiang Jingshi. I think both Lili and He Qing have met her before—she’s the current Vice President of Zhengshi Company.”
In the silent room,
Jiang Xueli and He Qing both stared at Lin Zhengran with wide eyes.
Jiang Xueli suddenly jumped to her feet, clenching her little fists. “Jiang Jingshi?! President Jiang?! Zhengran, you got her too?!”
Lin Zhengran nodded.
Jealousy immediately flushed Jiang Xueli’s face as well. She stared at Lin Zhengran for a while before sitting back down and muttering, “I knew it. That woman looked at Zhengran weird from the very beginning. My sixth sense was spot on after all.”
He Qing also knew who Jiang Jingshi was—Jiang Qian’s older sister.
She never would’ve guessed that it wouldn’t be Jiang Qian who ended up with Lin Zhengran… but her sister instead...
Little He Qing asked softly, “When did this happen, Lin Zhengran?”
“Last week. Remember I went to the company? That’s when we got together.”
Little He Qing pressed her lips together, her hands resting on her thighs.
She replied sweetly, “I see. Alright then… So that makes one more. You’ll have to introduce us to her sometime.”
Lin Zhengran patted Little He Qing’s head. “Once we’re back from this trip, I’ll set up a time for you to meet her.”
Little He Qing blushed and smiled.
“Well, that big sister is pretty good-looking.”
Lin Zhengran looked over at Jiang Xueli, who was pouting. “Lili?”
“Ah?” Jiang Xueli snapped out of it, her expression awkward. “What is it?”
“You don’t have anything to say?”
“Say something? What could I say?” Jiang Xueli sighed helplessly. “If Zhengran likes her, then it is what it is. You already said you’d have six girlfriends, so this fourth one was bound to happen sooner or later. And honestly, I don’t even dislike President Jiang.”
She looked at Lin Zhengran. “But Zhengran, Jiang Jingshi is the eldest daughter of the Jiang family, right? Would someone with that kind of background even accept you having this many girlfriends? Don’t those kinds of big families usually have really strict rules?”
“I’ve thought about that too. That’s why, once we’re back from the trip, I’m planning to visit her family. As for strict rules—even if they weren’t super strict, it’d still be hard for any parents to accept their daughter dating a guy with this many girls around, right? It’s all the same.”
He Qing and Jiang Xueli blinked.
Han Wenwen, seductive and confident as always, said:
“Whether they accept it or not, if they don’t, I’ll just run away with Brother Zhengran. I’ve already decided on him for life. Besides… I don’t think my parents would even care about this sort of thing. I don’t even know who my dad is.”
Jiang Xueli chimed in, “I want to say something too. I know this’ll probably be a hassle when the time comes, but I’ll try my best to convince my parents to agree. After all, I’ve only ever liked you, and I don’t think I could fall for anyone else.”
He Qing nodded and raised her hand. “Me too. Even if my mom won’t let me marry you, I’ll still stay with you. I won’t leave.”
The usually timid Little He Qing was surprisingly firm on this big issue, and even Lili was unusually direct.
Lin Zhengran promised, “You three don’t need to worry. It’ll be tough, but I’ll visit each of your families and propose one by one—until your parents agree.”
After he said that, Jiang Xueli suddenly shivered.
Lin Zhengran asked, “Getting a little cold? Let’s not talk here anymore—let’s head back to the hot spring and chat there.”
The three girls agreed.
The four of them headed back to the hot spring together.
On the way, Jiang Xueli asked, “Hey, if all of us marry Zhengran, does that mean we won’t be able to get marriage certificates?”
Han Wenwen nodded. “The law only allows one husband and one wife. So Brother Zhengran definitely can’t get marriage certificates with all of us. But we can still have wedding ceremonies—that part’s fine, it’s a personal matter.”
Little He Qing clasped her hands in front of her and smiled.
“Marriage certificates don’t really matter. They’re just pieces of paper. If two people don’t love each other, having that paper won’t help—they’ll still end up divorcing. But if they really love each other, they’ll stay together even without it. That’s what my mom always says—couples without real love will break up eventually.”
Han Wenwen cut in, “I think the same way. Whether people end up together comes down to feelings in the end.”
Jiang Xueli sighed emotionally. “You two sound so idealistic. But honestly, it is kind of true… Then what about the kid’s household registration?”
Han Wenwen tapped her chin with a finger. “That’s probably fine too. I saw on the news that in a few years, even kids born out of wedlock will be able to get registered.”
Lin Zhengran thought to himself: yeah, before he was reborn, that was already the case.
The future society was definitely facing a population shortage.
“Wenwen’s right—don’t worry about the kids.”
Jiang Xueli placed her hands on her hips and laughed. “Then I guess there’s no issue! Even if it feels a little early to talk about all this.” She blushed. “Zhengran, when are you planning to propose?”
“After I graduate from university. But I’m planning to tell your parents before then—since getting their approval will take time anyway.”
The group relaxed in the hot spring for quite a while longer.
They didn’t even realize how far the conversation had strayed—joking and laughing about other things.
Though while soaking in the hot spring, Jiang Xueli did think for a moment—so Zhengran even likes big sister types like Jiang Jingshi?
This guy really doesn’t have a type. He’s into everything. Total playboy.
After finishing their soak, the four of them walked back through the backyard corridor to the first floor of the inn.
Right as they passed by the entrance, they saw an old grandpa and grandma sitting under a tree outside, washing hair with a wooden basin.
The grandpa was holding an old-fashioned dipper, slowly pouring hot water over the grandma’s head, one ladle at a time.
They could even hear the grandma yelling from afar, “You’re getting water all over my shoes! Can’t you go slower? You never take this annual ritual seriously!”
The grandpa mumbled something under his breath in return.
The two of them seemed to be chatting as well.
It was He Qing who noticed the scene first, her eyes lighting up with curiosity.
Jiang Xueli and Han Wenwen also saw it. Han Wenwen smiled, “Such a sweet moment.”
Little He Qing’s eyes sparkled but she didn’t say anything.
Lin Zhengran also noticed the subtle shift in He Qing’s expression as he looked outside the inn.
Back in the room—it was the last night of the trip. Tomorrow morning, they’d be driving back to Zitong City.
Everyone started packing up a bit.
At 8 p.m., Lin Zhengran sat on the bed in pajamas, reading.
Suddenly, the door opened.
The Three Little Ones walked in.
Little He Qing said, “Lin Zhengran, we finished packing.”
Jiang Xueli, who was always bad at lying during plans, added, “Do you have anything left to pack? We can help.”
Han Wenwen just smiled without saying a word—her eyes said it all.
Lin Zhengran understood exactly what the three of them meant. “You want to sleep together again?”
The three girls were momentarily speechless, then all shyly nodded.
Lin Zhengran patted the bed. “Come on up—let’s sleep together again tonight.”
The Three Little Ones beamed and crawled onto the bed all at once.
